I just visited 100 Food Buffet for the first time after landing in Pensacola, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience from start to finish. When I walked in, I was greeted, and I will say the entrance has a nice fountain that makes a good first impression. The layout inside is pretty average for a buffet. That's where the positives end. For a Chinese buffet, I expected a much wider variety of Chinese dishes. Instead, almost an entire section was American food, with only one main area dedicated to traditional Chinese options. There was a small "salad bar" (if you can call it that), a couple of soups, and a freezer with ice cream. Some desserts were mixed into the salad bar area. They also had sushi, but it was mostly fried rolls covered in heavy sauces. As someone who loves sushi and has tried over 100 restaurants, this was well below average. As for the food: * The chicken and broccoli lacked flavor * The "sizzling chicken" and other dishes tasted off, almost like the meat wasn't real or was mislabeled * The General Tso's chicken was mostly breading, barely any actual chicken (I even have a photo for proof) * The raw shrimp was not cleaned properly and still had visible waste, which was honestly unacceptable * Not much in the spring rolls Overall, the food quality was poor and didn't taste good. I left with a stomach ache and not because I overate. I visited on a Wednesday afternoon for lunch, and based on this experience, I would not return. read more

I've never been to 100 Buffet before mainly because it's located in a part of Pensacola that I never go too. Here's my breakdown of how it went. Dislikes: The Waitress's will run you over trying to walk back and forth from your table to the buffet. Some of the food that is not normally all that spicy was entirely too spicy for me. Likes: Best thing I ate was the "Sizzling Chicken" which is flame grilled chicken marinated like steak and actually taste like steak.. Very good.. Compared to other Asian buffets their fried chicken wings were above parr. Their Onion Rings was the star of the show.. Some of the best onion rings I've eaten in a long time.. crunchy and cooked perfectly. Their Pizza taste like it was homemade pizza.. (I couldn't tell that it wasn't) Very good Overall compared to all other Asian Buffets on a scale of 1-10 I give it a (7) Staff was friendly but too busy to slow down for you. read more

We ate here today and unfortunately found an old fortune-cookie paper floating in one of our drinks. I understand that things can occasionally get missed, but finding something like that in a drink was really unsettling and made us question how thoroughly the cups and dishes are being cleaned. We brought it to the staff's attention, but I wanted to mention it because it's definitely something the restaurant should look into. I'm currently pregnant and was freaked out about it. For starters, the place is new, it's super clean, nicely decorated, and well laid out. The staff people are great! Very friendly, very attentive, and very helpful. On to the food... mostly Asian varieties, everything from sushi to soups to stir fry dishes to noodles and rice. Everything was good. And the price... very reasonable for what you get. New buffet on Navy blvd. I am unsure why the Chinese buffets cook their chicken to death. Really tough. The hot and sour soup is good. The chicken wings are good. Most dishes are drowning in sauces. First, I saw several instances of cross contamination at the buffet by the staff. Ambiance - ok. Not really decorated. The sushi was displayed well. It looked inviting just not much of a selection. Very clean. They immediately cleaned up spills on the floor and the tables were kept bussed Service - not really there. You pay when you enter and then the server for the area gets your drink and busses the tables. Food - I tried the sushi first. It was generic. Nothing special. The wasabi was good and I don't think it was just horseradish with greens blended in. I tried the oysters in black bean sauce. It was good. The pepper chicken wasn't. That spicy. This location offers lots of space and is brightly lit with an open floor plan. The offerings on the buffet line are decent, although I found generally sub-par. My dining friends liked it better, a lot better, than I did, so take into consideration that Chinese buffets are somewhat a matter of personal preference. You may love it, and the person next to you not so much. The meat dishes ran together on my palette. Cloying sweet chicken to peppery/spicy beef and or chicken. They were always just OK. The vegetables were more of the same. I liked seeing bok choy, and it tasted good at first, but then the heavy amount of butter caught up with me. The fried rice looked dry so I went with the lo mein noodles. It was just OK, not much meat/flavor or vegetables mixed in. The hot and sour soup was good, thick, but good. The fried items to eat with sweet and sour sauce all tasted the same to me, even the cream cheese rangoons. Range was good to just OK. The dessert cakes, meh, the puddings, meh, and the ice cream comes in little cups. That was also just meh. I was a little worried about eating salad or sushi so I stayed with the warm items. It's possible I could go on another day and really enjoy eating here. My friends seemed to think it compared favorably to other similar offerings in Pensacola. I'm not so sure. read more

Pensacola is severely lacking in the Chinese buffet department so when my sister asked to go here for her birthday dinner I was skeptical. However I was pleasantly surprised, it is very clean and bright in there. There is ample seating and the employees were really nice. It isn't the most extensive buffet, but everything I had was really good and fresh and hot. I particularly enjoyed that they had bok choy but overall felt that there could be more vegetable options. I also wish that they had rice noodles, but that's just a personal preference. We all left satisfied and with plans to return and as long as the quality stays as it is this will become our new go to Chinese food in the area. read more

I honestly don't think the reviews over 3 stars are real people. So sooooo many issues with this restaurant. FOOD: Ironically the only item that was warm was the sushi selection all the hot dishes weren't hot they were either cold all the way to the center or at best Luke warm. Pizza was burnt, fries over cooked, wings were good, I had them right after someone put them on the food line I grabbed some fresh ones from the bottom and a old one from the prior batch from the top, the old one was not edible meanwhile the hot one was a decent wing just not flavor much packing. The chow mein no joke might've been the nissin box chow mein , fried rice was bland with some pieces of rice being hard while others were soft. Like let me be clear all the menu items either tasted a little off. Most just cold, it's to the point when you see someone bring out fresh hot food you see a little line form up to get it because that's the only way the food was decent. SUSHI About 8 or 9 sushi options in huge platters made by a chef standing near it but sushi was lacking a flavor, also to be said I'm not usually picky at all but one thing I don't do is eel or octopus and many options had eel on or in it so little disappointing there the only other options was a California roll and tuna roll. SERVICE Was good little interaction I'm assuming due to language barrier. The waiters kinda awkwardly stand at the end of the table waiting to take plates just watching you. A lot of the plates were dirty if you pay attention there's like hard stuck on sauce stains that I was able to dislodge with my fingernail. The kicker is I came on a Tuesday it said on the door dinner prices will be charged at lunch on Saturday and Sunday but I was charged dinner at around1:30pm no argument from me but I kept gave me a upset mindset starting the meal. AMBIANCE The environment was great really clean and new they have music playing but it's kinda like awkwardly low and doesn't travel well through the restaurant so it can't be heard well from where I was sitting. To sum it all up I'm a 25y/o Male I went in with a 23y/o Female both military so it was a quick trip off base. When I went in a older couple around age 70 if I had to guess.I came in held the door for them actually and to my surprise, when we left about 3 half eaten plates and 15 minutes tops after arrival they were leaving with us.
