Chris C.

Awesome Brazilian steakhouse. They have great service and rotate through all their options quite regularly. The options are great and they ensure that they are giving prime cuts as well as that the gauchos know where the different preparations of steak are and are kind to give you as much as you wish. The sides they have are great and I appreciate they serve breakfast option early too. Will be back.

The staff are all very friendly and attentive. Pretty quiet and calm setting for dimmer. Meat rounds came by quickly and reasonable intervals. The meats were cooked well and had good taste. I liked how the sides and breads are at the side/salad bar and not something that is brought to your table and puts pressure on you to eat them and fill you up too soon.

Always good and quality is consistent. My only disappointment when they decided to be reservations only and no walk-ins. It took me almost a year to go back. I did made reservations this time. I don't know if it's the same (reservations only), if so they need welcome back walk in diners again because their parking lot was pretty empty. It would be sad if this business closes in Pensacola. I hope not. However, I noticed their brunch prices almost doubled that is not a good sign. From what I remember lunch/brunch was $18. It is now $32. I use to come here for lunch when I use to work in downtown. Dinner prices pretty much stayed the same. This is not a criticism but expressing concern that this restaurant may be in trouble. Please please... continue to dine here. This is a great Brazilian option in Pensacola. The service and quality is still consistent. It's a great experience and your kids will enjoy it.

Do you HAVE to order the unlimited??? We have a group that wants to go but 2 of us have had gastric surgery and can only eat very small portions?

For guests that present their gastric bypass cards we will only charge for the kids price, which is $13.99.

Is there a burger or grilled cheese available for a picky child? My son won't eat the grilled meat or salad/pasta etc. Or could we bring in a happy meal from McDonald's just for him? It would honestly be a waste of $7 bc he won't eat anything there.

No, but they do offer grilled hot dog or brat-like sausages. If he wont eat he must not be hungry, so maybe dont force him. Trying new things is the spice of life!

Our waitress was very attentive and very friendly and was helpful with recommendations. We got pork rinds and boiled peanuts for appetizers and both were great! The pork rinds came with a house hot sauce which were delicious. All of our entrees were delicious. My scallops were perfectly cooked and not sandy at all. My husband's pork shank was huge and super tasty. My parents both got the brisket sandwich and the cornbread was stellar! Great place and we'll be back if we visit Pensacola again.

I was seated in the middle of the bar with customers on both sides of me. My server took my drink and food order, and after that, she never returned to check on me. I watched her walk past me several times while attending to the customers directly to my left and right. Not once did she ask how my food was, whether I needed another drink, a box, or my check. Eventually, another server noticed my frustration and asked if I needed anything. I told him I needed a box and my check and explained that my server had never returned to check on me. His response was, "We are all working the bar." That response was unnecessary and dismissive. If everyone was working the bar, it makes it even more confusing that I sat there for so long without anyone checking on me. A simple, "I'm sorry about that. Let me take care of you," would have been the appropriate response. I understand restaurants get busy, and I don't expect perfection. However, basic attentiveness and customer service should be expected, especially when a customer is sitting directly at the bar. Unfortunately, this experience was very disappointing.

It made up for a 15min wait for a table despite my reservation; service was excellent as well. They have a bar but don't serve beer on tap, a shortcoming I have observed at most Florida restaurants. I perceived the ambiance as rather noisy, which distracts a bit from the intimate setting implied by the smaller size of the dining room...you sit close to your neighbors. Highly recommended for delicacies served!

My husband…read morehad made reservations for us and his parents, but as life goes, we were running a few minutes behind, so we called and let them know, and the lady who answered was very kind and told us not to worry. (This was a 4:30 reservation when they were not as busy.) They seated us at a table that accommodated the four of us perfectly. I should add that my father-in-law was in a wheelchair, and the ladies were quick to adjust the table settings for us so that he would fit comfortably. Our waitress, Roxy, was just as helpful as a server. My father-in-law also has dementia, so ordering for him at restaurants can at times be very tricky. She was ever so patient and suggested some items that could work for him based on what my mother-in-law shared are things he usually will eat with ease. But hospitality and service are only part of the reason you go to a restaurant, because let's face it, if the food were bad, who cares how nice everyone is. In this department, they were also on point. Roxy explained the menu changes seasonally. We dined on July 3, peak summer. I should also add that I am 7 weeks pregnant, and so I need to be careful with what I am consuming. To drink, I had an orange glow - with cardamom, lemon, orange, and strawberry (and the only item I remembered to photograph - blame it on how delicious the food was or on my pregnancy brain). It was refreshing and sweet, without being too juice-like. My mother-in-law ordered a moscato and my husband had a blond ale. We all consumed our beverages in their entirety before the end of the meal. I'll add here that the young lady who went around refilling waters was extremely on point. If our glasses were halfway emptied, she came around and filled them (which with how much water I'm currently intaking, she came by quite a bit). To start, we ordered their garlic yeast rolls. It comes with a garlic butter which you can add to the rolls, but let me tell you how it doesn't need the extra butter (though it is mighty delicious). I could live in those rolls. They were flaky and buttery, like a croissant, but in a yeast dinner roll. If it's on the menu when you go, please do yourself a favor and order. There are 4 to an order. My husband and I shared the 4th one, and I would have ordered another set of 4, but at that point I would have just been eating with my tastebuds and not my actual stomach. But they *are* that good! My husband and I both ordered the filet. I can't eat anything cooked less than medium, though I'm typically a medium rare girl, and let me tell you - it was still juicy and delicious, a sign of a chef who knows how to cook a good steak. The black garlic butter was heavenly. The steak was a bit too seasoned for me (but pregnancy taste buds are something else). My husband ordered it medium well, and he loved it (and he's only recently come around to enjoying a nice piece of red meat). They came accompanied with a celeriac potato au gratin which was perfect - not overly cheesy, and the celeriac (first time eating this) was perfectly sliced. My husband also ordered the cheese grits and collard greens. The grits were a whipped-like texture, soft and creamy. The collards were not something I could stomach. Blame it on those pregnancy taste buds again. My mother-in-law also ordered collards and they both loved them. For me, the vinegar was just too much to handle. My mother-in-law opted for the ribeye, medium rare with the broccolini, and she said it was "scrumptious, delicioso, and magnificent (in a French accent)." As delicious as it was, she and I could not finish our meals, so we asked for a to-go boxes. Roxy packaged them up for us, and labeled each box with what it contained and when it was packaged. Of course, when it came time for dessert, we were beyond full, but we ordered a prickly pear sorbet to share. And it was just what was needed to cleanse the pallet after such a flavorful meal. The coconut mousse was light and airy and paired well with the sorbet. If you're in the mood for some good southern fusion in Pensacola, Iron is the place to try.

In brief, the shrimp were dry and tasteless, and the dry aged New York steak was tough as nails and flavorless as well. I had to ask for a better knife to get through... this is not what dry- aged should be like; please draw your own conclusions. When I cut the steak at midpoint, I also couldn't see any marbeling to speak of - a low-grade, tough cut. The baked potato seemed reheated from yesterday or beyond. No potato flavor. Service felt detached without follow up, Iike she couldn't care less. Outch. That cost her quite a bit of discretionary income if I may say so without remorse - I believe in tipping handsomely for good service otherwise. Last but not least, I appreciated being in a historic building ....the atmosphere was middle of the road , not excessively bright but not cozy either; fresh white table cloths, but no lamps or candles on the tables - please see pics. Of note, they serve beer on tap - a rare find in Florida as far as I have seen on this week long trip- but that just can't make up for the deception happening here. PS: poor cuts of beef came up in other reviews that were dignified with a response.... Nothing changed.

Our party of 25 ended up ordering well over 50 dozen oysters, so they unfortunately ran out before I got a chance to try the BBQ oysters. I was able to enjoy the raw and charbroiled oysters, and I definitely preferred the raw. They were incredibly fresh, briny, and clean tasting. The charbroiled oysters were still good, but cooking them brought out more of the fishy flavor, which just isn't my personal preference.
