Jeff is about as cool as them come. He came to my house yesterday because I had two electrical outlets that did not work in my house. I bought my house about a year ago, and for some reason these two outlets never worked. I even tried fixing them myself, by replacing the outlets. Anyway, Jeff came out fixed the first outlet no problem. And for the second outlet, he had to work on a little so he can fix what was going on. He was basically fixing the mess the previous handy man did. He is smart, calm, fast and easy to set an appointment with. It's been over a year and surprisingly, Jeff contacted me to make sure that I was satisfied with his repair to my circuit breaker. I have had no trouble since. Jeff was great. I got a quote for him to replace a ceiling fan and he was able to fit me in the next week. He was honest and transparent about pricing and gave me a range depending on whether he had to replace/put in the fan fixture box. When he arrived, he was wearing a mask and got right to work. He did end up having to replace the box, but updated me before he did anything to make sure we were on the same page. He laid plastic sheeting down in the door to minimize dust/plaster in the room, and he did a great job with installation. When it was done, he pointed out some flaws that were inevitable (the ceiling where he installed it is a little wonky) and wanted to make sure I was good with everything. I contacted Jeff after I waited a week for another contractor to fix an issue with my circuit breakers. Luckily for me, I had to give up on that contractor, or else, I would have never found Jeff. Jeff responded very quickly. I emailed him on 2/1/22 and he responded the same day. On 2/2/22, I sent a few pictures of the panel box and then, he talked to me on the phone that evening. I scheduled an appointment with him for the next afternoon. He arrived right on time and took a look at the panel box. He figured out what needed to be done and proceeded to fix the issues. Jeff is very focused on his work and is determined to do the right thing. He even found additional issues and asked if I wanted to address them while he was there. Additionally, he cleaned off a couple of circuit breakers, tested the house outlets, and gave me some information that I did not know about the status of my kitchen outlets. I definitely was grateful for his follow through and sticking with me to complete the job. I think that he may have even had to push back another appointment in order to do so. I'm a senior taking care of my mother, and I don't always feel comfortable letting people in my house. Jeff is a really good guy, and I trusted him almost immediately. He shares his knowledge with you, answers any questions, and is so easy to talk to. He is very professional, and you can trust his work ethics. I don't think that he would accept a job if someone asked him to take any shortcuts that would lead to a safety problem, as some others may. One of the switches on my circuit breaker panel flipped off last night and would not reset, cutting off the electricity to my kitchen and family room. This morning I contacted half a dozen electricians and only two responded. Jeff from 1 Source Electric said he could stop by a 6 this evening if needed. But first, he wanted me to try pushing the switch back into the off position as far as possible. I did that, and the switch clicked even farther back and then I was able to reset it. Problem solved! Jeff went on to explain how the circuit breaker system worked and why switches flip off and how to prevent overloads. I called 1 Source after contacting several other electricians with amazing yelp reviews. They didn't call me back. I left two messages with the guy at shileds electrics because he had 13 five star reviews about how prompt and courteous and responsible he is, but nada. So I ended up calling 1 source ever though there was only one review. I'm always a little leery of the single or two good reviews because you can just get your friend to write one for you. The call was for my rental property in the area. Anyways, long story short, I called and left a msg, and Jeff called me back. Diagnosed my problem(dead electrical outlets in the diningroom) and fixed it over the phone. Apparently newer houses are built with dining room outlets connected to the GFI outlets (those outlets with the red button in the middle) in the kitchen. a simple press to re-set the GFI outlet and all was well with the world. I really appreciate the fact that he told me of a possible solution over the phone. I am a real estate agent and had a listing in which the main circuit breaker was stolen from the property. This caused the house to have no electricity at all. I turned to my trusted Yelpers to look for an experienced electrician to identify and install this missing part, and I found Jeff. Jeff was very patient and helpful from the beginning in answering all of my initial questions about this repair. It was so hard to find an electrician who 1) answers the phone or calls back in a timely manner 2) had the time to even do the repair 3) willing to do a "small job" as some would call it 4) didn't charge a trip charge just to come out and check out the issue (the initial quote). He was quick and thorough with the job and made sure it was done the right way. He is a very honest electrician, and in doing so, helped us cut some costs and time! Payment was easy as he has a Square swiper, so I just gave him my credit card and he emailed the receipt. Simple as that! His pricing is very reasonable when I was comparing to other places. From reading his other reviews, he even does other jobs as well. In fact, as he was out there at the property, he even took a look at the garage door which was off the tracks and fixed that for me too! I didn't even ask! So thoughtful.
