Aloha, A-Team! Driver sent out a group text the night before the tour of all hotel pick-up locations and times, tight schedule for pickups to ensure we were ahead of the crowds. This meant better picture-taking at sights. I appreciated not being stuck with all the other tours (larger buses). It was a van and our group was 8 people total. We were visiting from California, but we had others from New York, Canada, and Australia! The air-conditioning was struggling a tiny bit but still tolerable and much better than the humidity outside. We were supposed to have Captain Justin, but he was sick and we actually got the owner himself, Captain "Vincenzo" Vince! It's an all-day excursion. Included was pickup/dropoff from Waikiki, entrance to the Byodo-In Temple, but not the Botanical Garden/Waimea Waterfall , and lunch, other local treats along the way at your own expense. A great way to see many Oahu attractions in a single day, including North Shore. My favorite parts were the Leonard's Malasada, Byodo-In Temple, Waimea Garden/Falls, Dole Plantation, Mac Farm. So much history, and flora/fauna and food ops! Captain Vince was a fun character! He was enthusiastic every moment of the drive, even taking photos of pairs/whole group. So many facts and even personal stories, I learned a lot! When you're going to spend an entire day with a group, it helps that the drive is lively. Mahalo nui loa! Salamat po! read more

First off...get the Kansas Cheeks stickers off the van...horrible. Haha! Justin is a wicked cool tour guide. He gave a great tour talking about the history of the people and the land, highlighted certain spots, and was just all around great guy...except for one thing...he's a 40 Whiners fan. All good. I was able to retain certain spots and info he spoke about. I knew this because when we came back from our Norwegian cruise...some friends took us on the same route and I was actually letting them know about certain spots Justin spoke about! We had a schedule to stick to and he did a great job sticking to it and not getting all hurried or bothered if people were running behind a bit. I like how they used the smaller vans instead of tour busses. It makes for easier maneuvering and more personal for his bit. read more

What an amazing tour! From start to finish, Captain Vince kept my wife and I laughing throughout. He was a wealth of information regarding the different stops, and made the tour so much better than other circle island tours I have been on. I like how he takes pictures of everyone during the tour and displays them on his monitor, plus he even texts them to you! This guy really goes the extra mile, literally. He takes you to places like the waterfalls that other tours don't. In addition, he stops at the North Shore where we saw huge turtles in the water. 1 Epic Tour is truly 5 star and Captain Vince is such a funny, smart, energetic guy! Do not miss out on this folks, you will be loving every minute of it! read more

My trip to Hawaii would not be complete without leaving this review. We used Captain Vince and his 1epictours company three times doing our visit to Oahu Hawaii: once, with a large group, once with a more private small group and once to the airport. Captain Vince will work with you to customize your tour to insure that the tour fits your group, your interests, your flexibility as well as your time availability. I love the fact that we were picked up and dropped off at our hotel for the tours - no rushing to get to a particular place to make sure you catch the bus. With a tour group personally driven by Captain Vince, you are educated, shown beautiful sights, given lots of laughs and food recommendations! We were able to stop for food, buy souvenirs, walk around as well as have some leisure time in Turtle Bay. He even gave us some recommendations of places to enjoy around our own hotel. Captain Vince is so personable and his company epitomizes the true meaning of "aloha". I highly recommend using this company and we plan to use them again on our next trip to Honolulu. Be aware, he's a Kansas City's fan! read more

On our family vacation to Hawaii my uncle booked a tour of the island. Honestly we should have done this the first day.after the tour I was ready to stay another 4 days.. only to do all the things Captin Vience suggested during the tour. Especially the hikes since he would go with. Captin Vience well I call him uncle Vience has big personality great sprit very knowledgeable about the island.. he loves talking pictures .u will talk pics as a family meaning the whole bus and with your group u did the tour with.. after the tour he will send the pictures to one person in your group. The best parts of the tour with uncle Vience going to gift shop and eating the pineapple with the powder that I got from the food vendor. That powder was everything I had to stop by Safeway and buy some before I left Hawaii.(judge me it's ok) I was excited about going to the north shore thinking we would go to Giovanni's for lunch I was disappointed because uncle Vience took us to fumis.. it was soo good I got the garlic butter with a side of spicy butter .the stop at the exotic fruit stand they had Turon that was hot and fresh I left with a full bag.. other than the food stops we stops at some places with great views to take pictures. A gift shop. The beach. And gave s a list of things to do. Lots of education and I also learned a few words. Book a tour or airport service with captain Vience . If you plan your trip he will be better to accommodate you.. the best is always clean and has iMac.. tip bring a change of dry clothes or he will have plastic to cover the seats.. read more

We had such a fun time on our tour with Captain Vince. He took us around the island and gave us such a great experience. We had a small group which made it more fun. The cost was reasonable and Vince went out if of his way to make sure we had lots of pictures and stayed awake. Different from any tour we've been on, I am giving my friends his number so they can have as much fun as we did. Signed, GF read more

Just did the 1 Epic Tour and it is truly the best bang for your buck tour on the island. It is really affordable but that doesn't take away the quality of the tour. Captain Vince was super engaging and his love for his job and home really shines through. Aside from the plethora of knowledge he has, he was hilarious and very caring towards each one of us. Captain Vince is the best tour guide on the Island! From the moment you get on the shuttle, he captivates and keeps you engaged from the beginning to the end. I got a little bit more extra than I expected with having Captain Vince as my tour guide. The trip to the North Shore was absolutely beautiful. My favorite part of the tour was seeing all the sites and spending time at Sunset Beach. Honestly, every moment of the tour was my favorite part! I was very impressed with his knowledge of the Island. He knows how to entertain and encourages every one to participate when he teaches the Hawaiian language. So much fun! And all of the above and everything in between was Epic! Extremely professional, efficient, compassionate, and well organized. If I could add more stars I would. The tour was amazing. "Captain Vince" is the best. He is very punctual, efficient and informative. He goes above and beyond to make the experience as best as possible. Not only did he give us an amazing tour. The next evening we attended a luau, and our Uber cancelled on our party last minute. Many other people had their Uber reservation cancelled as well. We were all stranded at the sea life park. I called Captain Vince at around 8:30pm and without hesitation, gave me an ETA. Once he arrived, he also was offered to take as many people as he could. There were about 20 of us that he picked up in total and dropped off every single person at the hotel they were staying at. He went the extra mile during our tour and went above and beyond that when he picked us all up after being stranded and we are all very thankful that he did. Thanks for everything Vince. My wife set up the 1 Epic Tours booking for us and our two children ages 7 and 5 to add to our visit to Honolulu, of which I thought of myself as just going along for the ride. Within the first few minutes of stepping into the van my mind set changed and I perked up with excitement. Our tour guide from the time he opened the van door greeted us individually as if we were family and he was going to make sure that our experience on 1 Epic Tours would be a highlight to our Hawaiian vacation. Throughout the tour, Captain Vince (our tour guide) presented details about what Hawaiian life is like for it's citizens. He interwove island history with our sightseeing itinerary between landscapes and ocean views. I didn't have to worry about capturing our sightseeing experience with having to fool around with my cell phone taking photos. Captain Vince, consistently used his own camera to capture photos of me, my wife, and our two children. Likewise he did the same for each individual that was on the tour. Best of all, after our tour, he immediately emailed us the awesome photos he captured. Hence, I give 1 Epic Tours five Stars. read more
