Can be found in many malls i was told and i saw a ton of ppl with it so i was so pumped we finally found it since it was on my list of things to try. We got a double portion of meat (worthhhh) comes with rice, scallion and corn on a hot sizzling plate. I need this is the US omfg because it is bombbb. Just enough spice and not an overpowering amount of pepper. Comes with sauce too which i could've used more of but no biggy. I think it was like $8 usd what a freakin steal. Kinda hard to find a place to sit in the times square mall but tb expected.

As we were walking around trying to decide which place to eat out, we saw a few people with sizzling rice places and just knew we had to get it. The price per plate is very affordable, and you get a good portion of food too. Like most people, we got the signature Beef Pepper Plate, and we couldn't have been happier! Our favorite part was definitely mixing up the egg, cheese, and rice, and just hearing all of the ingredients sizzle and cook together. We also added some of their complimentary sauces to create the perfect bite! Highly recommend stopping by here for either lunch or dinner if you're in the area. And afterwards, you can go visit the Studio Ghibli/Totoro store a few floors below!

The ambience was like a retro diner, with unique CD art on the walls, diner-like stools, and photos of guests enjoying their meal at Burger Joy. I wasn't feeling a burger, so I ordered some truffle fries and wings. I was so impressed at the amount of truffle they sprinkle on the fries and the flavor of the wings. SO hot and fresh which made the meal so delicious. I went with Cajun seasoning and the exterior was lightly crispy and coated with the powder. Fantastic flavor! As a Westerner, I could rely on Burger Joy for that classic American style dining. They have late hours and close at 2:30AM! Glad my friend and I discovered this spot as we have been out so late and nothing but convenient stores were open in Wan Chai.

It was and still is such a hard thing to find in HK, which seems strange given the popularity of burgers and the huge expat population. Now that several big time fast food chains (#1) have opened up, Burger Joys and their pricey burgers may seem somewhat pedestrian. Burger Joys is still fairly unconventional from most of the other burger spots, which includes serving full on booze (even cocktails!) and remaining open for 24 hours a day. The latter is mainly for location's sake, Wanchai and it's red light district vibe tends to spurn a lot of expat visits; many of whom are less likely to look for a HK Cafe over the idea of a burger and fries. The burgers themselves evoke memories of In N Out by presentation alone, sans taste and price. That said, the burgers are good. I'm not sure if the signature double cheeseburger warrants the $139HKD price tag, but it's still tasty. Throw in a shake and some fries (better with truffle!), the meal gets closer to 200HKD+ with the service charge. Thank goodness they accept credit cards. The service has been a mix of great and subpar. Some days when the gentleman from Vancouver is working, the service is professional, fun, and efficient. Some other days / hours, it's a crapshoot of casual and lackluster staff. The mileage definitely varies. I suppose the adage applies: come for the food and nothing else. I personally don't care for this chain in the US, most of EU, or anywhere in SE Asia, but this particular outlet is a stand-out. Beautiful decor, super clean (5 stars), very friendly staff, and far better quality food than at other outlets in Asia/US/EU. My favorite: The angus burger, one of several specialties. Bottom line: I can't believe I'm writing this but this McCafe is one of my top 5 restaurants not just in HK but also on earth.

This place is fast food style, so you place your order at the front and find an empty table. When we came during the lunch hour, it was quite busy so either take this to-go or be prepared to wait for an empty seat. The menu is quite simple. The most popular options seemed to be the set meals, which is actually a pretty good size to share amongst 2 people for a light lunch. We tried their banh mi set. The only thing that was Viet-fusion about this banh mi was their pickled daikon and carrots, even the bun wasn't the typical banh mi bun. But sall good, still tasted yummy anyways! The meat is marinated in a Korean style marinade and the sandwich is loaded with tons of kimchi. The spicy corn and cheese fries the set came with were good - nice small side to make your meal less boring. We also tried their Seoulade... this is a gigantic drink and def worth it! You'll be peeing buckets if you end up chugging this. Super refreshing during the hot summer months. This place is def a good option for when you want a quick bite and are wanting to try something different in the area!

I usually like Set A, which when combined with an additional order of Kimchi fries is meal enough for two. I know Set A comes with fries, so why order another set of fries? Because 1) It's a different kind of fries, and 2) they're really good and adding bacon to is worth the 5 dollars. The regular fries themselves aren't too bad. You remember the old school nacho cheese? They put that on the plain fries here. I'm not a big fan of corn, but the corn salad here is just the right amount of sweet and a little spice that it's something I fight over and not something I just give away. The banh mi looks small but it's filling and the bulgogi is not overly sweet-which brings back memories of some pretty bad barbecues. Definitely another item that's worth getting multiple times. Their lemonade is pretty good even though it's basically a mix of 7up and lemon juice-it's still a pretty giant drink that will probably leave you in a diabetic coma. To top it off, the banana milk ice cream is a must get, try to save room for it.
