However, this shopping centre gets intensely packed. We visited on a Monday, and it was still way too crowded inside. The combination of the heavy crowds and the unique spiral layout actually made me feel a bit dizzy while navigating the floors. On the plus side, there is a great variety of shopping options, from upscale retailers to trendy boutiques, along with a movie theater and plenty of standalone restaurants. That being said, the actual food court area felt surprisingly small for a mall of this scale. We ultimately didn't spend much time here because it was a bit overwhelming, and we preferred to walk around the vibrant open-air spots nearby in Mong Kok. It is worth a quick look for the design, but be prepared for major foot traffic.

I still do today but not as much. Silvercord has 6 storeys of establishments but don't be fooled - 2 of those storeys are located underground; the basement and the lower ground floor. Silvercord also serves as a shortcut to Harbour City as it has an interconnecting interior bridge similar to Landmark. The majority of the basement floor consists of food republic, a decent food court that serves mostly Asian fare from Vietnamese to Japanese cuisine. In the middle of food republic, there are tea and smoothie kiosks. All the floors are equipped with restrooms as well as restrooms for the disabled. Contemporary fashion boutiques line the lower ground floor while the ground floor houses optical and jewelry shops. The first and second floor is a mix of different shops but my favorites are Pacific Coffee and Crumpler. The third floor has awesome dining options ranging from casual American Ruby Tuesday's to Taiwanese modern staple Din Tai Fung. A lot of expatriates I know have not been to Silvercord even though it's in such a prime location (Canton Road!). Compared to Harbour City, it can be seen as an afterthought but for me, Silvercord has its place. Whenever I'm in Tsim Sha Tsui, I make sure to drop by here because it is less crowded than Harbour City.

Causeway Bay Shopping Center is a little gem for all you comic lovers out there. I'm not one…read moremyself, but one of my friends was coming to HK and asked me about places to buy comics in HK. I had no clue, did a quick search on Google and found this. Tucked away on Sugar Street near the bridge that leads you to St Pauls Convent and Regal Hotel, this tiny thing, to small to qualify as a shopping 'center', is a comic haven. The shopping center looks quite decrepit and old, and it might not look like there's anything in there but don't judge a book by its cover! There's only one direction you can head to when you go in: down. You'll find a bunch of small shops that are filled to the brim with comics such as Batman, The Avengers, Wonder Woman etc. They even have guides to popular shows like Walking Dead and Once Upon a Time, and figurines from cartoons like Adventure Time. Prices for comics here are generally quite wallet-friendly. A comic will run you anywhere between $10 to $50 (I think I've seen a box at one of them that's stacked full with comics and reads '2 for $10', actually!) However, there are a lot of collector's items like action figures as well which are pretty expensive - I've seen some that are about a thousand! The shops here are REALLY tiny though - in the first comic shop that you enter when you walk down the stairs and turn right, I don't think you can fit more than five people in there! The shopkeeper really utilizes all the space he has to fill up the shop with stock. So when you're in there browsing and someone behind you wants to go out, you'll likely have to head out first to give way. Think of it like a crowded lift, if you will! Overall, this is a great place if you've been searching high and low for comics in HK but to no avail. The variety here is pretty endless and prices are affordable, though browsing here isn't the best customer experience because of the tiny spaces. But it's worth it - or at least my friend thought it was, evident from the close to ten comics and a Once Upon a Time guide that she left very happily with.

What I can't believe is how long Nathan Road goes all the way through Hong Kong and yes iSQUARE is one of them and was the closer access from our hotel. What honestly caught our eye are the many signs informing you of what's inside and it was Miniso. The cuteness overload was just so hard to resist and though there are many other biz, restaurants and even movie theater time and lack of energy has us being very selective and we did browse around a bit not really knowing the other shops that was there and getting around with some floors using the escalators while some was accessible by elevators was quite exhausting. If they had better directory so that we knew exactly where to browse we'd might've stayed longer but then again thankfully we didn't as this shopaholic had quite a full luggage. Thank you!
