It's always the best to go to food court when you have to dine alone, and it's even better to go alone cos it's easy to get a seat. This tepannyaki place inside the Taikoo food court is always busy with long queue. Tonight was no exception, but I was able to be seated immediately as the people lining up are all waiting for at least 2 seats. The tepannyaki was very casual and localised, with a MSG-intense soup to start with, and then a fried Chinese veggie and rice. I have ordered fish as main dish, and it was those kind of fillet you would pan fried at home. It was quite fun watching the chef cook, especially he mass-produced by stir-frying the Chinese veggie on the teppanyaki hot pan. Be prepared cos it's quite hot sitting in front of the hot pan, guess they have intentionally not having the bar table and the hot pan separated so the food can be served on the hot pan in front of you. It was a quick dinner and an interesting one. read more
