I come here every time I'm home. Out of all the teppanyaki places in Hong Kong, this one is pricey but serves the best quality food. I typically come here for lunch as you get a better deal with the lunch sets. They come with a ton of food and are almost half the price than ordering a la carte.
My go to teppanyaki lunch set includes includes a salad, seared foie gras (sometimes I switch for the prawn), cod fish, beef (option of American or Japanese), fried rice, miso soup, a drink and dessert. It's a lot of food! Most of the time I take my fried rice to go. Everything is delicious and the service is always impeccable. The chefs are also really attentive and often try to customize the food to your preferences e.g., I prefer my beef medium rare with lots of scallions and less garlic.
The dessert here changes from time to time but my favorite is their house made Japanese cheesecake. It's not too sweet and their chocolate drizzle really compliments it. For my drink, I always get the Japanese coffee. It's rich and creamy and less acidic than western coffee beans.
Besides the teppanyaki, I've also tried their sushi and sashimi and honestly you get what you pay for. It's expensive but it's high quality. Again, come here for the lunch sets to get a better deal.
Overall, this is one of the best places to visit if you're looking to splurge on a quality Japanese meal. I highly suggest making a reservation ahead of time as this restaurant is always fully booked. read more
