The place was really quiet at around 2pm when we got there and the service is quick, extremely polite and attentive. I had a quick look through the mains menu included in the set and hesitated whether to just stick to the buffet. I finally went for the whole experience and ordered some grilled sardines with vegetables - a bit of a summer nostalgic thing. The buffet is excellent: it isn't big but there's enough variety for every taste. There are typical Spanish dishes like tortilla and croquetas, but there are also Italian cold cuts (spicy salami, Parma ham), smoked salmon, mussels, some pasta dishes, potato salad, grilled mushrooms, quinoa salad, sliced almonds...and a salad bar, with a ton of greens and vegetables to choose from. At the end of the buffet bar they had some sauces, olive oil and balsamic vinegar and a few sliced fruit plates. I love a good buffet and after two visit I was ready for the main dish. I must admit the sardines were a bit of a disappointment, they tasted okay. Maybe I had really high expectations (in my memory: fresh sardines being picked in the sea and taken to the grilled right after...!). The set includes a drink or coffee and I had a espresso, which was good enough for a final touch to the meal. I also really enjoyed the atmosphere, elegant but pretty chilled out. I'm coming back!

We arrived around 11:30am and waited only 15 minutes for a table for lunch. Many families were finishing breakfast at this time but their very reasonably priced lunch menu was available from 11:30am-2:30pm. There was a whole section of lunch specials for noodle soups. They allow you to pick your broth and noodle type with the provided meat and flavor profile. My grandmother ordered the Thai style brisket with the hot and sour broth base and homemade noodle. I ordered the honey short Rib with the chicken broth base and rice noodle. My grandmother's order was SPICY! But so delicious! Mine was very hearty and also super delicious. The portions were very, very generous and about $5.50 US dollars. YUM!!!!

I wasn't sure what kind of food they offer going into the restaurant, but I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they serve American / Western food since it was July 4th! I ended up having their roasted chicken with asparagus, mashed potatoes, and veggies. The chicken was tender and juicy! Loved it. It came in a meal which includes an appetizer, the main dish, and a drink. For the appetizer, we got the roasted duck salad and vegetarian meat roll. The other main dish we got was the ribs with chicken. The ribs weren't falling off the bone, but the flavor was good. The sets were about $100/set, which is reasonable for the amount of food that you get. Lastly, the atmosphere of the place as great and the staff were all really nice. Hung Hom has never been my favorite place to go because I think it's out of the way, but if you're in the area, this is definitely a viable option.

The convenience of this restaurant to & from our hotel made the experience even better, especially considering that we visited during peak summer weather. It is conveniently located in Mira Place, so you can explore the mall before or after your meal. We arrived sometime late afternoon & were seated right away. Once we were seated, our waiter explained to us their ordering system which I forgot, but also because my Chinese is not that great, lol. If I remembered correctly, they have different sets of food choices you can choose from that's AYCE. I personally thought it was a little pricey, but the fact that the service, quality, & taste of the food was impressive, I have no complaints. Especially since it is AYCE too, lol. We payed about ~$66 USD/person between 2 people. If you're a dimsum lover & are looking to experience fine dining, I highly recommend this place! The workers were kind enough to pull our seats out & even placed a cloth on our lap for us, haha. If this isn't considered a fine dining experience, then I don't know what is, lol. Can't wait to visit HKG in the near future so I could eat here again!

As someone who has eaten at this place countless times for the past ~10 years, and while the food does take quite a long time, it's worth the wait. His Foie Gras with rice was always superb, I suppose that counts as fusion cuisine, but it's a surprisingly good mix. Seafood is always a very good choice here, fish dishes as smooth and flaky, and the poultry, tender and juicy. Vegetarian dishes are also very flavourful, so there's never a lack of choices. We went for lunch, a group of 13 colleagues, and everyone loved the decor. It has this homie, Italian feel to it, brightly lit with wood tables and chairs. Being a market, you can also purchase anything on the wall, meat and seafood as well. The lunch menu was simple, you order a main dish which comes with a salad and can add additional sides. I ordered the wagyu striploin steak (HKD188) at medium rare, an additional of fresh apple juice(+$10), soup of the day(+$35) and the napoleon dessert(+$30). I scanned the wine wall and chose a nice bottle of Chateau Marges Graves. They have all sorts of wine ranging from few hundred hkds to few thousands. Comparing the price (as this is suppose to be a market), i did find that the high end price of wines are on the very steep price though. We started with bread and butter (which is another addition of HKD40 for 6 slices). Very decent bread and butter but having to pay for bread where most places offer it for free is a bit strange. The steak came with a side salad and a bowl of mushroom creme soup. The salad was very good with all the ingredients fresh. The soup however was a disappointment. It had this weird taste and I had to offset it with salt and pepper. The steak itself was good but i'll order it rare next time as i felt medium rare was overcooked for my tastes (i mostly order rare but some colleagues wanted to try my steak). One of my colleagues ordered the chili pasta with scallop and wow... that was good pasta. Overall a good experiences but having to add all the extras made my meal come to $263 not counting the bottle of wine (they dont serve wine by glass) and little on the steep side for Sheung Wan. Although you dont have to add any other side, i wanted to splurge a little seeing how cute the place was. Service was fast and attentive and I'll be back because the food is actually quite decent. You can feel that they use quality ingredients and has a fun and open atmosphere.

They also have raw meats and fish that you can purchase by weight as well as spices and other food to cook at home. Give it a try!
