This place has changed its name some time back. It's now known as Tao Square 稻坊。They continue to offer good dim sum at a good price, but really, there aren't too many places anywhere in HKG that doesn't offer good dim sum if they want to stick around - if, indeed, dim sum is what they offer! Ditto, the quality of the tea - just so much higher almost any decent place you go to compared to way too many of North American Chinese restaurants.
On this most recent trip, we had a small variety of dishes for dinner one night, since it was just 2 dining. The 'spicy' beef strips really stood out with a great taste, and the tofu made with fish and chicken was tasty. The only false start was the yu choi with a preserved vegetable 浸菜心梅菜, which was a little misguided in my opinion, seeing how odd it was for those two to go together. All in all, a better dining spot for the money than the other place in the other side of the train station inside the mall. Their BBQ is also quite popular, with a retail stand just for that slightly off premise, closer to the train station. read more
