This mall have everything I need such as clothing store, food court and cosmetics. Me as a teenager I love Dior and other expensive brand. I always needed to go to new town plaza but after they showed up in festival walk I was really delighted and excited to make my bank empty again!! A small, compact, cute, four leveled shopping plaza with a entire floor of food options is what we discovered. It seems funky, fun, festive and kind of new. Other than maybe the Croc store, most stores seemed like local, small, entrepreneurial places selling handmade crafty things like jewelry and gift items to figurines that have your likeness having been made by a 3D printer on sight. Many stores selling clothing too. There is also Greenlive, which is an indoor electronic golf range and golf course. The 4th floor is entirely a home store called Home 21, selling everything from couches to mirrors to place settings. Kind of feels like Pier One has met a furniture store, if you are familiar with Pier One in the US. If you find yourself in Lai Chi Kok, absolutley stop by D2 Place to buzz around, buy something and maybe take in a meal or coffee (or even ice cream...they have an ice cream shop inside!). Lai Chi Kok is a quiet suburb outside the hype of places closer to Central, but D2 Place seems like a cool, hip place to get the fun feel of shopping and exploring you find in the main cultural hubs around Hong Kong.

Maritime 2 also has Genki sushi which is one of my favorite restaurants in Hong Kong!

When it comes to TST shopping, Miramar Shopping Centre is my pick. For Miramar, take exit B1 at the MTR and turn right when you get out. Keep going straight - you won't miss it because there's a huge sign. Miramar Shopping Centre is actually connected to Mira Mall, so if you want, you can go into Mira Mall (as you're walking, you'll see the entrance for it first) and walk through it to get to Miramar Shopping Centre. Perhaps the best thing about Miramar is the huge 6ixty 8ight store. There is a 6ixty 8ight in Sha Tin close to where I live, but it's absolutely tiny and there are only two changing rooms. At this one, there are actually two sets of changing room, but every time I'm there, one of them is closed off. But there are still four or five cubicles, enough not to warrant a ridiculously long line! The 6ixty 8ight here has a good selection of not just lingerie, but clothes and pajamas too. American Eagle is nice too but overpriced, and I.T. is worth just taking a stroll in. If you're a fan of Japanese fashion, Liz Lisa, Snidel and Lily Brown are all within a stone's throw from each other! As for dining, there are more options over at Mira Mall, which you can walk to from Miramar Shopping Centre without stepping out onto the street and bracing the summer heat. And speaking of Mira Mall, you can't miss the huge Collect Point they have there for more Japanese fashion! For a mid-shopping coffee, you can head to Starbucks just outside of 6ixty 8ight. There's also a door that will lead you to the end entrance of Knutsford Terrace, so lots of restaurants and bars for you to explore there. Overall, try to make a trip to Miramar for some shopping the next time you're at TST. It's much less crowded than Harbour City and more affordable too, so the chances of you walking out with a purchase or two are much, much higher!

Mira Mall is bit of a puzzle to me. Given its prime location in TST, one would think that Henderson…read moreLand would have given more love and attention to the mall, in order to attract some of the massive crowds from Harbour City. However, Miramar's choice of tenants, coupled with its mediocre mall management makes it quite a bland and unattractive hangout destination. My 2-star review stems mostly from Mira's management issues. As a frequent driver, finding parking space is important, especially in crowded TST. I usually go for Harbour City because it has the most spaces and is the cheapest, compared to Mira/K11/The ONE. However, Harbour City's location is not exactly convenient if you have business around the Cameron Road/ Kimberly Rd area. Mira's parking lot charges you HKD33/hr on Mon-Thurs, and HKD35/hr on Fri-Sun. Validation is available, but not for all of the shops. If you fancy yourself some Dintaifung/ Chao Dynasty/ Habitu/ LabMade, please don't drive here because these shops are not validated for parking. Also, the parking lot is constantly full and drivers often have to queue along Kimberly Rd. Weekends are definitely a nightmare, so if you have a dinner appointment at Mira, do yourself a favor and take the MTR/cab. If you're lucky enough to have gotten inside Mira's parking lot, you will be amazed by the amount of available parking spaces inside. This is why I give Mira's management 2 stars - why force all these patrons to queue outside your mall and block the road when you have plenty of parking inside? Why put up a "Full" sign when spaces are abundant? Oh and although the mall charges you HKD33/hr, don't expect a decent-looking parking lot because you'll encounter dirty stains on the wall, bumpy surfaces, poor lighting, non-existent ventilation, and the overall feeling that you're caught in a bad horror movie. Lifts are also pretty confusing at Mira. If you enter from the main entrance, there's only one elevator on the G/F that takes you to the more popular restaurants. It's located on the left hand side once you walk in, and there's often a queue. If you're more acquainted with the mall, you can opt to take a flight of escalators up, where you'll find a larger lift lobby in the atrium. The queue is shorter because there are 3-4 lifts available. Food selection at Mira has improved though - they have amped up their F&B selection and brought in more popular restaurants, such as Dintaifung, So Thai So Good, Sen-Ryo, LabMade and Chao Dynasty. However, the shopping choices (apart from anchor tenants like Uniqlo and Muji) leave much to be desired. Do us a favor, Mira, and amp up the game. You have much potential really!

One of the landmarks here is the GIANT on land boat, which honestly, I don't pay too much attention to, but it's something very unique about this part of Hong Kong, because you don't see a huge on land boat everywhere. One of the reasons why I gave this place a five star, is because of the harbour. It's much cleaner than the one that all tourists visit, many people come here for fishing and the pictures you take here have a nicer lighting due to the sun which is probably reflecting off of the beautiful dark blue windows of the building directly in front of this mini harbour. It's much more quiet than the other areas, definitely a great place for pictures that won't have many people in front of it.

For me I'm a girl and the girls toilets are always full. Like you gotta wait in line bud, the line is very long until door area. The fact that this mall has an instrument store made it better. Becuase me I live with a 3 year old and can't buy instruments becuase the 3 year old will destroy the instrument so I don't have any. I usually go to home square for the instrument to play with but now I can just go to New Town plaza!! This mall sells a lot of good stuff. It's connected to 4 - 5 different malls ( Lucky Plaza, Hilton Plaza and Sha tin plaza) those were the 3 malls I can think of right now but I know for a fact that new town plaza has different phrases. Me as a girl I like shopping expensive things such as coach, Dior, Apple Store and much more. I find new town plaza a great mall to socialise, hang out and shop. It's a big mall and is known to be one of the busiest in all of Hong Kong. It was first opened in the 1980's but has been kept renovated and modernized and it currently still has a fresh and contemporary feel to it. As is typical with Hong Kong malls, there are a ton of shops, eateries, and tons of people to go with them. We ended up having a very nice dim sum lunch here at one of their main and popular restaurants, the Peking Garden restaurant. This first visit to Sha Tin personally gave me a feel for what a more residential area is like out in the "boonies" of Hong Kong, and it is a bit more laid back than in Hong Kong proper.

Silvercord is one of my favorite shopping malls in Kowloon. When I was a high school student and…read moreworking in the nearby Hard Rock Cafe (now an H&M), I used to frequent this place a lot. I still do today but not as much. Silvercord has 6 storeys of establishments but don't be fooled - 2 of those storeys are located underground; the basement and the lower ground floor. Silvercord also serves as a shortcut to Harbour City as it has an interconnecting interior bridge similar to Landmark. The majority of the basement floor consists of food republic, a decent food court that serves mostly Asian fare from Vietnamese to Japanese cuisine. In the middle of food republic, there are tea and smoothie kiosks. All the floors are equipped with restrooms as well as restrooms for the disabled. Contemporary fashion boutiques line the lower ground floor while the ground floor houses optical and jewelry shops. The first and second floor is a mix of different shops but my favorites are Pacific Coffee and Crumpler. The third floor has awesome dining options ranging from casual American Ruby Tuesday's to Taiwanese modern staple Din Tai Fung. A lot of expatriates I know have not been to Silvercord even though it's in such a prime location (Canton Road!). Compared to Harbour City, it can be seen as an afterthought but for me, Silvercord has its place. Whenever I'm in Tsim Sha Tsui, I make sure to drop by here because it is less crowded than Harbour City.
