In the day it becomes a dining cafe while in the night it turns into a cocktail/drinking bar. Nice restaurant concept which captures both sides of the target group with its day and night duo concept. Spotting lots of caucasian who bring their kids here. Their food is average but what captures customers most is probably the breakfast menu they serve, along with a newspaper stand, dads seem to love it!

The lunch menu is a mixture of western breakfast items and Japanese bento box and a wide variety of drinks. The food here is pretty good and so are the drinks. Price is also friendly on the wallet and this is definitely a place to check out if you make a trip out to Cheung Chao. Food: 3.75 stars Value: 4.5 stars Recommendations: strawberry milk, unagi and scrambled egg bento, cappuccino My son had a ham and cheese omelette paired with a strawberry milk. The strawberry milk was really good and tasted like a strawberry milkshake without the richness of the ice cream. The unagi bento here is also really good and for under 80 hkd with a drink it's a really good deal. Coffee here is also quite good and one of your better choices for coffee on the island.

My rating is based on the following: Food: 4 stars Atmosphere: 3.5 stars Value: 5 stars for the lunch set The ice tea here is fantastic and will always order that with my lunch. It isn't too sweet and has hint of orange flavor to it. The salad on the other hand I would skip. The salad isn't dressed very well and the dressing is too sweet for my taste. The soup is a much better option. The bread that it is paired with is perfect for dipping in the soup. I haven't tried all the mains but the ones that I have tried are all quite good. The real standout is the truffle and mushroom pasta. I'm a huge black truffle fan and the flavor of the truffle really comes through. Given the price of the lunch set this is a really good deal. The hamburger is also good and so is the duck.

A cute, quaint little corner in the city plaza with lots of greens outside of the restaurant. I went on a sunday afternoon, seems to be a busy time where everyone is out for brunch. The wait is about 15 to 20 min for a table for 3. But you can grab your ticket at the automatic ticketing and leave your phone number with them, and head out to walk around the mail. They will give you an auto call to let you know your seats will be ready at 3 tables wait, which I found it pretty awesome and efficient, rather then just purely waiting and waste time. Food is great, had their mushroom soup and cucumber salad, chanterelle and spinach pizza and fish fillet with ink bun burger. Oh and their blueberry cheese cake and matcha cake. They are all great, minus the fries. Portion are generous, and the salad and soup are gourmet and not just slap on veggie or soup from cans. Mushroom soups are from mushroom puree and the cucumber salad are dressing with citrus dressing that are quite refreshing! I like their attention to detail on even just appetizers and drinks ( iced tea) , are well prepared. Must return for another meal soon!

My colleague and I shared the prawn linguine and a Ginger Pear salad, plus a flat white. Total was $254 for the meal. The prawn linguine was very tasty, but personally I think it's too flavourful. However, do note that I still haven't adopted to HK's ultra-flavours!!! The linguine was drenched with salty lobster sauce. It was good but I prefer lighter. The ginger pear salad was surprisingly delicious. Pear purée, dried strawberries (yes!) and dried raspberries (crazy, right?), plenty of leafs, no salad dressing. The sweet purée goes well with the sour dried berries. Very refreshing. Americano unfortunately is not to my taste. I didn't like it but I'm a huge fan of americano. My colleague loved her flat white though!!

My SIL insisted I try the restaurant. So glad I did. Love the decor with such an Urban feel. Bikes, tires, and road signs. Clean and modern throughout. I was captivated by their desserts. From the syringe injecting into a Bloody Berry cake to these color dusted cakes with various flavors. Wow, can we say croissant galore. How can you turn down a chocolate dipped croissant or one that is something called creme brulee? Okay, onto their real food. The slow roasted chicken came highly recommended as was the fish and chips. I also wanted to try the gwei miu salmon with a watercress risotto. They also needed to add they garnish the salmon dish with baby arugula. Hello! No need to say more. Sold! The chicken was juicy (brinded almost), full of flavor. The fish and chips had an amazing color on the fry, awesome beer battered flavored, and chunks of fish with every bite. It was over like an olive tapinade tartar sauce, which I couldn't get enough of. The risotto was perfectly cooked, which is hard to do. It was loaded with butter and cheese. Aside from its green color, it was hard to tell it was watercress. The salmon was also perfectly cooked and juicy. My only regret was that I ate too much and didn't save room for their desserts. Next time, for sure. Definitely be back and will be taking the Hubs here when he returns.

This place shot up to a 5 for me based on eating a meal there last night. $251 HKD for two meals, a side of sweet potato fries, a glass of wine and a latte...kind of a huge value and really very good! So we popped in because we wanted something other than our standard dai pai dong up the street and/or sushi options and this place is very local and close for us. They have special that with every entree order of over a $100 you get a drink for $1. Shut the front door! My husband ordered a super cheesy grilled cheese sandwich from their grilled cheese options. I ordered a greek salad with some smoked salmon. We also noshed on some sweet potato fries. We then for a $1 each, my husband had a latte and I enjoyed a glass of red wine. The fries were hot and really good. The grilled cheese was of ample size and super cheesy. The Greek salad was a touch too simple (needed a few more olives I think to punch it up), but evenly coated with dressing and fresh. The desert case is also packed full of great looking cakes, bars and cookies and worthy of a repeat trip (prices in the case range from $68-88). They advertise a special of like $98 for a glass of Prosecco and a dessert! It appeared some couples were wandering in to enjoy this just as we were leaving. Around 7PM when we arrived on a Friday, the place was not busy at all (which I know is bad for business, but preferred by us!). It was nice to sit with the open air on the first floor and simply enjoy our time. They have upstairs seating as well and it is closed in, the downstairs part is more open to the outside elements when the weather is nice. I walk by this place almost every day and the busy feeling of brunch on the weekend or packed lunch crowd during the week is different than the quieter evening vibe. The staff was friendly, welcoming and absolutely accommodating. For $251 and a good quality meal, we will absolutely return sooner than later.
