We did not have high expectations, but were pleasantly surprised by Avanti's pizzas. Other reviewers on other websites did not rate the pizzas highly; however, we were pleased. During the course of our stay in this hotel, we ordered pizzas for the room one night, and actually visited the restaurant two other nights. Every time, we were pleased with the pizzas. Good flavor, plenty of ingredients, and thin crispy crusts were consistent. Smaller 8-inch pizzas ranged from HKD$118 to $158; large 12-inch pizzas were just slightly more expensive. The menu included other Italian entrees and pastas. We tried the and the classic caesar salad (HKD$118) as well as the lasagna bolognese (HKD$128) which had a unique but pleasing flavor with a bacon sauce. There were plenty of soups, starters, and salads on the menu as well as some steak and seafood options. We were happy with the pizzas, though. Though we felt like the prices were a bit high, we nonetheless were pleased and glad to have a Western food option in the hotel. read more
