We'll squeeze into whatever luggage space we have left with some egg rolls, cookies, tea, wife cakes, so we can bring a little sweetness home with us, to share with our friends. My favorite is their phoenix roll (the plain flavor is the best), the wife cake (no wife in it, just some candied wintermelon), and dragon beard candy. The dragon beard candy especially is almost impossible to find in the U.S. There are plenty of products to choose from, not just cakes but also tea, noodles, sausages, candies and more. When I first took them off the shelf, the seals were unbroken, indicating the box was unopened. The cashier/service staff offered to "help" by taking the boxes while I looked around the store. After I rung the checkout the boxes became unsealed and half of the box was empty. The only explanation was that the store clerks had opened and stole the cookies while I was browsing the store. This is completely unacceptable and the store clerks were openly stealing from tourists. I expect this from third world areas but not from the airport store of Hong Kong, whose residents claim to be the most civilized in Asia. Stay away.
