I'm typically not a fan of Starbucks coffee because their roast is very dark and I prefer lighter roasts. Even their coffee that claims to be medium or light is still dark. Overall I would rate the coffee here 3.5 stars. The reason I give four stars is because of their nitro cold brew. Generally speaking the coffee in Hong Kong is very good and it is easy to find high quality coffee around town. However, finding a good nitro cold brew has been very difficult. I haven't had anything that would compare to a Stumptown in the states. In fact most of the time ordering a nitro cold brew I have trouble finishing it because it just tastes bad. So far the Starbucks reserve has the best nitro cold brew I've had in HK. You get a nice head of foam and the mouth feel is similar to drinking a stout. The coffee is cool and refreshing and really nice for a hot day in Hong Kong. The price for a pour over is relatively cheap compared to a copping room or Coffee academics or fill in your blank specialty coffee store. I've lived in Hong Kong for almost two years and still amazed at how expensive coffee is here. Try to avoid coming here in the morning. The staffing is not adequate for the demand and you will need to wait. I have seen some complaints about the service in some reviews. I have not had that problem most of the time. Only when they are really busy and understaffed.

This location does not have a big food selection, so don't come in here really hungry. It's best for snacks and light meals. The sandwiches are pricy for what they give you. Frankly, I always try to avoid their food as it's never filling. This Pacific Coffee is located in Repulse Bay so the surroundings are fancy and is very relaxing if you want to sit outside under the umbrellas. Because of the minimal crowd, it is general peaceful. For this location specifically, the ice cream was great, but seating was quite tight since it's a tiny store (max. 8-10 people capacity). All they have is a bar table with bar stools. Everyone was seated next to each other. This location is therefore best if you're getting take out. Today we got a large gelato cup with a choice of one topping and dressing. It's weird cos we were only allowed to choose one flavor for our gelato even though we ordered a large. I would prefer having the choice of getting two flavors.

The quality of my iced cappuccino is on par and up to usual Starbucks standards and they offered a case of snacks, meals, and goodies that rivaled any Starbucks I have been inside before. The coffee is the standard fare that you get in any Pacific Coffee across HK, such is there tenacity with order and consistency across the brand. However, this particular branch has one great thing going for it, a "secret" area out the back. Behind the baristas, is a small area with four tables, that looks down onto the pedestrianised area below. It is an ideal place to grab a coffee and do some work, whilst enjoying lounge versions of pop tunes. There are plenty of plugs for charging phones and laptops, but no free wifi, so you will have to use your own, or pay for it. I personally like to occasionally switch off the wifi and step away form the clutter of tech noise for a moment, and this is the ideal place for it. If you get here between 9-10am, you will see the lovely old lady who lives opposite looking over her wall at the passing people traffic. However, as well as your laptops, bring some mozzie repellant. They seem to have a few of these unfriendly guests buzzing around, and I assume it is due to the big pot plant in the corner. Otherwise, come and zone out for a while, read the paper, catch up on your work, it's all good!

( Used to live with my grandparents in the area ) This location used to be a movie theater. The first theater I went in my life. The coffee shop kept the name of the theater as their wall background. I really love the decor. I got spoiled by the nice, beautiful San Francisco weather. Hong Kong is hot to me from Jan to Dec. Therefore, I don't always have coffee in HK. I just realized I ordered the same drink : "Passion Fruit Blast" the same Pacific Coffee location. I must enjoy this drink very much. It was a great drink to cool myself down from the heat. This is a nice location for relaxing, good for resting, reading and working on your computer, etc. Staffs are able to communicate in English well.
