We went for dinner relatively early at around 5:30pm and were informed that suckling roast pig was already sold out. For a restaurant that prides itself in its suckling roast pig, that's pretty upsetting. It's your star dish, and it's already sold out before you're halfway through dinner time. We ended up ordering 2 bowls of soup ($38 for the first bowl, and $28 for additional bowls), pan-fried oysters/oyester omlete ($75), stir-fried Chinese kale with Chinese sausage/meats ($60ish), roasted pig ($62), pig knuckle ($52), a steamed fish in black bean sauce ($68). Since we ordered 5 dishes, we upgraded all 5 of those to be meal sets ($19 added for each dish) to add a bowl of rice and a drink. Their milk tea is said to be pretty good, but I've tried it in the past and it wasn't that special, so I took the lemon tea. Food-wise, I found pretty salty overall. Their stir-fried Chinese kale with Chinese sausages/meats were nothing like the picture in the menu, with far fewer vegetables and few pieces of meat. The roasted pig and pig knuckle were both pretty good. Their pan-fried oysters were decent, although there was too much flour in it and too few oysters. Their fish sauce for dipping was way too salty though. One thing I would return for is their afternoon tea sets, since Tai Hing does have good afternoon tea deals with their roast pig and BBQ pork meal sets. I'd suggest coming here mainly for their BBQ meats and milk tea since those are their specialties.

Every dish was spectacular especially the Lo Mai Gai, Har Gow ( those tasty shrimp dumplings with the translucent wrappers), Siu mai (which is essentially a meatball with pork, roughly chopped to give it texture, topped with shrimp and cupped in a wheat wrapper), Cha siu bao (white Chinese buns steamed in a bamboo basket) and Cheung fun. Notwithstanding the beauty of the location in a high rise building in a mall, the prices are reasonable and the service was excellent. This is a great dim sum restaurant.

Service was definitely subpar and the staff seemed pretty occupied already. Their selection and variety of dimsum is rather extensive but their prices are standard. The size of their dimsum is smaller than most other places as well which is slightly disappointing. Their food is also on the salty side so if you're craving dimsum this is an okay restaurant but otherwise you're probably better off elsewhere.

This. Place. Is. Legit. Spicy…read more I'm usually that one crazy guy in the group that will eat raw ghost peppers when challenged--and then laugh my way to the bank when I don't break a sweat. However TamJai SamGor is damn spicy. I was cautious and ordered the "moderate" level of spicy because I noticed there were six levels of "mild" spicy levels on the menu. If a place has six variations of "mild" that's the equivalent of price anchoring in sales tactics, I.e. Do t order spicy because the staff doesn't want to take it back/waste unnecessary peppers on your punk ass. The customizing options here are great too, you can add everything and the kitchen sink. There were five possible soup bases; we chose clear broth, hot and spicy, and numbing spicy. The hot and spicy is reminiscent of a Szechuan dish, and the numbing spicy is equivalent to a numbing Hunan cuisine. When it was all said and done, we were all dizzy and crying from the spicy levels as if we just watched "The Notebook" while chopping onions. I recommend ordering a dairy drink from crostini across the way so you don't burn a hole through your small intestine. Mad respect TamJai SamGor!

I was very satisfied with my lemon tea as well. Glad I got to eat here again before I leave Hong Kong!

As for the food, I got the combo that got me the noodles, pan fried dumplings and a side of vegetables. If you like your food really salty, then I guess you will like the noodles. It comes in a thick broth that is very salty. You could probably mix in the same amount of hot water as soup and it would still be strong enough in taste. The soup was thick, but the texture tasted like corn starch or something was just added to thicken the soup. In the picture, the side of vegetables was gai-lan, but I got steamed romain lettuce.... huge difference from the picture. On the bright side, the dumplings were decent. I also got a bubble tea. My personal preference is for the larger pearls - the ones that just fit the straw, but they use the tiny tapioca pearls. Overall, just get the dumplings.

My relatives selected Heng Fa Chuen one for dinner. I didn't expect any fancy interior or great service in this restaurant. I guess they're really going downwards coz all the dishes size were so small and disappointing. Stir fried eel with garlic - Eel tasted a bit fishy and bony Steamed ground pork with egg - It was mediocre and salty, the egg definitely overcooked. Sweet and sour pork - It's so sweet and pork quite fatty. Stir fried beef with choy sum - it was ok. Tofu with chinese mushroom - It tasted like food court quality dish. Salt Baked Chicken - It's absolutely not ancient style salt baked chicken. The chicken was cold and dry. I definitely won't recommend Tsui King Lau if you're looking for authentic Hakka cuisine.

This place is dirty, doesn't accept credit cards, and has a no nonsense kind of attitude. Portions are perfect for on-the-go breakfast. I ordered the sautéed beef omelet with toast and an iced coffee, my girlfriend ordered the breakfast "A" noodle bowel with fish cake. Unfortunately the broth in her bowl was a bit bland because she opted to omit the cow juices, but my omelet was A-ok. the omelet didn't look appetizing but as soon as I bit into it I forgave it's vanity. The iced coffee was quit good, they even had a milk tea with coffee ground blend. If you're ordering the noodle bowl you can customize it to your liking. This method is the preferable way to order amongst the locals.

The clientele are mostly locals and the service as such is welcoming. We ordered Sui Mai, Har Gow, Vietnamese pan fried noodles, sticky rice with wrapped in banana leaf, and some sort of deep fried shrimp dumpling that was delicious. Pretty standard affair in terms of dim sum, but the taste was pretty consistent across all the dishes. The decor also wasn't anything to write home about. Having said that we left satisfied after our Bella's were full and our wallets not hurting (the whole thing was around $15 USD) There was also a self-serve sauce station that was a bit awkward and it (maybe intentionally) placed in the middle of the restaurant so everyone could see your walk of shame.
