We had an excellent date night experience on a Thursday evening at ata. The staff were super attentive and took pride in describing the excellent food on the menu. We ordered the burrata (flown in fresh from a farmer in Sicily) as an appetizer. It is a menu must-have. For our meals we got the rib eye and cioppino (fish stew) and both were delicious. I really have to rave about the cioppino because it was full of fresh fish and the broth was perfect for dipping the grilled bread. The chef also came by to check on our meals. A wonderful dining experience.

Service: friendly, guiding, personalized. Menu: wide ranging and so good sounding on plaid that you don't know what to do, where to start. Which leads back to Service! Then the kicker, VALUE! First time in you have to (and not just because we did!), unless you're in with a group of 4 or more who will share everything with everyone. For 2 diners, $65 each gets you a total of 4-5 apps, typically spreads with the incredible flatbread. Pace yourself -- then 2 full entrees capped with shared dessert. You will be happy, sated and probably leaving with some leftover. And while they will choose for you, any preferences /aversions will be full considered and incorporated or added in à la carte. Creative culinary cocktails and a great little wine list BTG (with assistance if needed) will compliment your meal. Check the Neon sign and take a nightcap or dessert at Secreto, the back patio area. Wide ranging play list and a variety of seating configurations makes it a cozy place to extend the evening. One seating area shares with the open kitchen and the main room allows you a peak inside. I had a salad and my family members had steak and shrimp that was in essence a reflection of the wholesome nature that steak and bourbon provides you with. We usually try to go to the one downtown but this time we went to the one on the east side for the sake of the reservation. The saxophone player was very talented. Which, made me leave him a cash tip as I love jazz. It is fair to say, that we had a phenomenal experience based on how well we were treated by our server who was a recent transplant from out of state and even the U.S. as she shared her story with us which was very much so moving and compelling. We always have a wonderful time at steak and bourbon together as a family. But, I personally will have to point out that my favorite part of the whole dinner is the live music and the wonderful ambiance that in a way, fosters excitement, and intimacy if the right person or people happen to join you during such a special environment.

My husband likes this place for some strange reason. I will never be back. I'll go to the Qdoba next door before stepping foot in this place ever. Too expensive, horrible service. The problems all started with the hostess. Lighting on the patio- yes you can see your food but I felt like I was being interrogated in a barrack at Stalag 13. Ending with the clientele. Now I know they can't control this. But ..... not my kind. That is all I will say.

We arrived shortly after opening and were taken straight to a table. The space and ambiance were beautiful with warm colors and a boatload of natural light. Tip for first timers- the main entrance is on the left side of the building when looking at the building from the front. I ordered the Farmhouse Breakfast Plate which had 2 eggs, choice of bacon or sausage, breakfast potatoes, and toast. My meal was delicious. The eggs and bacon were cooked exactly as I requested. I did not eat the toast (allergy) and substituting fruit without an up-charge was not possible, so it stayed on the plate. The breakfast potatoes were an absolute delight. They had just the right crispiness and seasoning on the outside and warm potato on the inside. Our server, Jessie, was beyond friendly and kept our coffee and water pitcher topped off without being asked. She was attentive without being a nuisance. I heard some mumbling from a nearby table about the prices, but for the locally-sourced food, sausage made in-house, gravy that is not made from a mix, and my husband's biscuit that would feed 2 people, I feel the prices were fair. My only complaint would be the noise level. It became progressively louder during our dining experience. The establishment has attempted to address the noise, as I noticed many hanging ceiling baffles, but it just isn't enough. I can't imagine what the noise must be like on a weekend. There is a small dedicated parking lot, which handled the Friday morning crowd, but was filling up rapidly as we were leaving. Again, I imagine this is worse on the weekends. Despite the noise, the meal and service was wonderful and I would readily return.

They were lovely so we had to check out their restaurant! 211 clover lane is a hidden gem. Go in the summer and sit on the patio--it's dreamy and private and feels like you're not in Louisville anymore. It's the perfect spot for brunch with friends or a romantic dinner date. John was working the night we came and personally served us. The food was delicious, see pics. Calamari, beef short ribs, New York strip, creme brulee, tiramisu, and CC ranch Cabernet. All amazing! Not long after we were seated, a family with a very upset, screaming child was seated directly behind us. Our outstanding server, Garrett, immediately recognized the situation and kindly moved us to a quiet corner table in another room. That thoughtful gesture made all the difference and truly elevated our experience. The restaurant itself is full of charm, with cozy, beautifully decorated dining rooms that create a warm and inviting atmosphere. The bar area is especially stunning and worth taking a moment to admire. Every dish we ordered was delicious, but the standout was the praline caramel cake. My husband said it was one of the best desserts he's had in years--and I couldn't agree more. We can't wait to return!

Can't remember my servers name but she was probably one of the best servers I've ever had! She really took the time to explain the menu, talking about how fresh the ingredients were and how everything is made in house. They do change up the menu, like tacos served only on Tuesday's. We shared the Thai chicken skewers to start. Very good! Our server really talked up the pastas since the sauces are excellent. So we had to order the Alfredo with shrimp and shared the pepperoni pizza with pesto on the side. The pizza wasn't greasy at all and you could tell the pepp and the pesto were made fresh. Even the Alfredo had such a nice creamy flavor. The menu didn't appeal to me when I first tried it years ago but after having someone explain it, I really appreciated the effort they put into their food.
