Zyg's got high quality craftsmanship when it comes to euro cars. The price is as expected if you own a BMW/Mercedes/Audi etc, I had a very rough idle from my engine of my 2000 323ci, my lower intake boot was split, multiple engine codes, and needed a couple new tires as well as brakes in the rear. The car runs very well, no SES lights after a month, and I'm happy to say these guys are legitimate as this review. 5 *s hands down, I'll be by soon to get the inspection sticker, still waiting on the tags office to notify me. Bottom line I plan on coming back for more work, my trust is with them. read more

I feel very fortunate to have been referred to this place by my friend and long time mechanic.I have heard so many nightmare stories about BMW's that when my wife informed me a long time ago that she was getting a BMW 525 I took her to the Mercedes Dealership .Fortunately she liked the Benz and forgot about BMW and she has been in the brand for 4 cars with no problems and has been happy. I decided a long time ago to never own BMW and then my daughter turns 16 and the in-laws give her their 9 year old 328 with 50k miles....I asked them to please NOT give her this car , not being ungrateful but knowing the nightmares a head of me... here we go , a small oil pan leak . I take it to a nice place in Montgomeryville and I get the quote of $1,800 to fix it .... My normal mechanic before we started in luxury brands won't work on the BMW or Benz and referred me to Ziggy. Just got the car back and ziggy found 2 other oil leaks, plugs, coils , lifters and had to replace the valve ... the original oil pan leak was only $1,000 !!! I also got new tires and the total bill was only $4k. The work was completed in one day and it just goes to show that there is no substitute for experience and expertise! Thanks to Ziggy and his crew I am having less nightmares and I believe that the work they completed would have been $10k somewhere else! I have had multiple problems with my 2006 Volvo over the years but the staff at Zygmunt has kept It running like a clock. It now has 273,000 mikes and drives like it will go another 100 easy. I had a problem with my power steering and was in NYC when it happened. The guy told me 1800 dollars. Since that's nearly the value of the car I said no and had it towed to zygmunt. At 4 pm the next day the owner called and said I could pick it up bc it was now fine. They stuck the hose back into steering column out a clamp on it and I was good to go NO CHARGE!! From 1800 to no charge I think that represents both ends of the spectrum on untrustworthy and trustworthy mechanics. Do yourself a favor - price something out at another place - then go to zygmunt. You will have a new trustworthy mechanic for life. Bravo to this establishment!! read more

If there were a way to give less than zero stars, I would do that. Brought my car here for the first time for a simple state inspection. After an hour was advised the car was ready. Paid the bill, got in the car and began to drive away when I noticed my windshield was cracked right where the inspection stickers are. Cracks that hadn't existed when I dropped off the car. When I discussed this with the service technician it was explained to me that those cracks where there when I dropped the car off (they were not), and advised to speak with the owner. Not once while inspecting the car or when I paid for the inspection did anyone mention the cracked windshield to me, something a reputable shop would have done, in my experience. They allowed me to leave the shop assuming that I would either not notice or not say anything. When I spoke with the owner he immediately dismissed me, again stating that it was there before and that it was in no way his problem. I asked him to meet me halfway on my deductible, willing to assume that perhaps there were already minor cracks that were hidden by the old inspection stickers that got worse when the stickers were replaced. He refused to do anything other than explain to me that it could have happened anywhere at any time, but could not possibly have happened while it was at his shop, and therefore he would bear zero responsibility. This was an unnecessarily terrible experience, not only breaking the windshield, but then not calling it out and then topping it off with stonewalling me. Never again! Stay clear of this place. read more

Highly recommended to me before I went, but still exceeded my expectations. Service was prompt, friendly, and reasonable. My husband is a shade tree mechanic, and even he was impressed. If you want to do the work yourself, they even give you tips and get the parts for you more inexpensively and faster than any place we have found (we have a classic Mercedes we are restoring, and they didn't rip us off)! Really nice guys that have a passion about the BMW's they service. Pricing was fair but still cheaper than the diesel. Caught stuff that the Thompson dealer missed during their state inspection just a week ago. (DEF fluid was very low). Before you go to Zygmont first realize that they are an online parts distributor. They want to sell parts. Fast talking Cris will do his best to sell you them. Their mechanics are pretty good and know BMW's. I don't use them anymore. Better shops out there. read more

We have taken our 2011 BMW X5 diesel here three times over the past year. We decided to give Zygmunt a try when we had repeat issues with the high oil level alarm triggering on the SUV. The local dealer quoted more than $1300 to fix the oil level sensor. Zygmunt gave us an oil change and changed the oil sensor for $350. They have looked at it for free when another light came on and patched a tire for $15 when the dealer wanted $40 and likely would have told us they needed to replace the tire. These guys don't need an appointment, do fantastic work and are reasonable and trustworthy. Highly recommend them. read more
