The installation was piece of cake for Jim and Justin, they did great job and also ahead of time. Jim explained how to use the new thermostat and walked us through all the new equipment.Can't say enough about Shackelford!! Special note about Mike Hoffer (the owner), he was incredibly helpful, responsive on the first or second ring of my call and assisted us choose a unit and answer many questions through the weekend; and they were able to get a new unit installed for us within 2 days. It's a small company with a small crew but their customer service was excellent; pricing seemingly competitive. I definitely recommend this small but very competitive for HVAC system assistance.

Another electrician told me what Dan did to my electric panel is unacceptable. Not to mention he talks way too much and fritters away time gabbing about his life and opinions. One of the jobs I hired him for was to install a smart dimmer switch and new wafer light. He told me since there is no ceiling fan I did not really need the neutral wire WRONG (smart dimmer switches must have the neutral properly connected for the switch to work correctly) so he did some kind of (not up to code) looping of it to the switch behind it. The light has never worked right and has now died 5 or 6 years after the install, should have lasted 20 years but due to his lack of knowledge of smart devices and willingness to not follow code so I had to replace the light and hired a real electrician who knows about smart devices to fix the neutral wire in the smart dimmer switch. His workers were dispatched to my residence , and in just a few hours , I received a call from his workers, asking if they could close up all my windows , and get cooling system working on cooling my home.
