Very disappointing experience. I called yesterday to schedule an appointment for my brakes, and…read morethey confirmed it over the phone and again by text. I took time out of my day to bring my car in, only to be told they were too busy and couldn't work on it until next week. If they already knew they were fully booked, why wasn't I told that when I made the appointment? A simple phone call or text would have saved me a wasted trip. My time is just as valuable as theirs. Poor communication and a frustrating experience. I won't be coming back.

This little muffler shop in Compton was my savior. I drove to 5 different shops around Long Beach…read morewithout much success. Found this shop on yelp and gave them a call. They offered to help with no hesitation. I got there and it may not look like much, but there's a handful of guys working here and they all do solid work. Lots of experience in this industry, as the guy who helped me has been in the game for 23+ years. They even offered bottled water on this 100F degree day! The pricing is very fair and they really try to provide their best advice to make sure their customers get things done right the first time. The welds looked like they had good penetration. A nice thick consistent mig bead. Pipe is crush bent, as most exhaust shops do, but they were able to fix all of the routing on my poorly fitting exhaust piping and tucked everything to provide the most clearance. They ask for their customer's input to make sure they will like the end result and are overall great service and work.

When I spoke to eddie on the phone he reassured me of a lot of concerns and stresses I was thinking of and dealing with. I'm not going to lie once reaching his shop I didn't know what to expect plus I was dealing with anxiety from the whole situation. I mean wouldn't you be if someone stole something from underneath your car !!!!! I'm sorry for making this post so long but I felt compelled too considering Eddie being a blessing to me and resolving my unsaid emotions indirectly plus he had some heartfelt memories that i resonated with. I would absolutely recommend to anyone who may be dealing with a disaster trust me you'll thank me later! Thank you so much Eddie, from Jahmal

The front hood of my car had zero issues with staying in the upright/open position prior to bringing my car here. I get home and the hood wont stay up after the visit to this place, like wtf? While waiting in the space, the dad brought me a mini fan )no AC) since temps expected to rise to 100. Super kind. Little acts like that and the speedy service will make me a repeat customer.

Not only do people attempt to take advantage of me because I'm a woman but also because I drive a Mercedes. I needed brakes and there was no way I was going to the dealership to have the replaced . So, I searched on Yelp and of course I came across a plethora of businesses but Bolles was the only one that had all five stars, I gave them a call and spoke with the owner's son (sorry i forgot his name) he was very polite, and knowledgeable. The next day o took my car to them to be serviced. I dropped it off and they called me a couple of hours later with an estimate. Yes the estimate was pricey but again he was using Merced's parts and we all know that those aren't cheap. But what I appreciated most was their honesty . He told me that the rotors on the back were shit and definitely had to be replaced but the front were fine and if the price was too much I could actually wait awhile (not forever, but a payday or two) before replacing the brakes . I thought this was the most honest expertise I had ever had with an unknown mechanic. If you want the job done right, with friendly, professional people I would recommend this business to you and anybody who needed a wheel alignment and or brakes . Hopefully I won't have to go back anytime soon but I'll definitely be recommending the to everyone I know .

Every time we've called him, he's been reliable, honest, and has done great work. What I appreciate most is that he actually cares about helping people. A good example is when I bought a dash cam and realized I had no idea how to install it. Instead of telling me it wasn't something he did, he took the time to figure it out and installed it for me. It came out great, and I really appreciated that he was willing to go the extra mile. Because I've had such good experiences with him, I've recommended him to several businesses and contractors I work with. They ended up hiring him to maintain their truck fleets because they were impressed with his work, professionalism, and reliability. He's always been straightforward with pricing, explains what's actually wrong with the vehicle, and never makes me feel like he's trying to sell me repairs I don't need. It's hard to find a mechanic you can trust, especially one who comes to you, but Fern is definitely one of them. If you're looking for a mobile mechanic who's knowledgeable, dependable, and genuinely cares about his customers, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Fern. I came today to have them checked rear brakes due to some noise coming out and his mechanic quickly checked, adjusted , and cleaned both of my rear brakes. Now there's no noise. At the same time I asked Tony about my torn caliper boot on my front brake. So he ordered a new caliper for $60 and charged me pretty cheap labor to replace the caliper as well as adjusting & clean rear brakes. I sat down and spoke to Tony older guy about his work experience in the days where he had hard time getting raise from his bosses even after working in one company for 5 years, crazy isn't it. The boss got annoyed and told Tony " the door is open for your to start your own business if you want to make more money". So that was exactly what Tony did, he started this repair business which he said he should had done sooner. One thing mentioned about someone stole his products. He didn't felt bad about it. He said someone must need money bad to buy food or something, and David was ok with that. What a gentleman. We need to support this small business, and there are many good hard working people. Myself and another mechanic took my car back to him to let him know the issue. Without even scanning my car he said I have an ignition problem. Then he said I have a compression leak which is a blown head gasket. He said I overheated my engine. I did NOT! I have a 2018 bmw the car would've alerted me. Also if my car overheated it would've been overheating as it was running and we were speaking but it did not overheat. He refused to show me the print out from the scan or to scan my car so I can see the code for the compression leak! He just got upset and started yelling. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!
