I walked into the Pendleton store in Old Town Fort Collins today for the very first time..... as I…read morehave never stepped inside a full retail Pendleton Woolen Mills store before. I was truly excited for this experience as most of the time I end up ordering anything from Pendleton online. Pendleton is one of the few surviving American textile companies with a story that stretches all the way back to 1863, when English weaver Thomas Kay arrived in Oregon and began building woolen mills in the Pacific Northwest. That foundation eventually led to what became Pendleton Woolen Mills, a company famous for its iconic wool blankets and textiles that became deeply tied to the culture of the American West. In a time when so many brands have outsourced everything overseas, Pendleton still weaves much of its wool fabric in the United States. That alone makes it stand out. What makes this location even more special is that a full retail Pendleton store is actually rare to find. You simply don't see many of them around the country, which makes discovering one right here in Old Town Fort Collins feel like a real gem. And it fits perfectly here. Old Town already has such a wonderful mix of boutiques, restaurants, and independent shops, and Pendleton adds something unique to that landscape. It brings a sense of tradition and craftsmanship that you don't encounter very often anymore. The store itself is beautiful, and the quality of the products really stands out when you see them up close. The blankets are absolutely stunning and clearly made to last for generations. They are honestly a little too warm for where I live now, but I still love seeing them and appreciating the artistry behind them. I especially fell in love with their towels and bathrobes, and there were also some clothing pieces that really caught my eye. In a world of fast fashion and disposable goods, walking into a store connected to more than 160 years of American manufacturing history is refreshing. If you are spending time in Old Town Fort Collins, this store is absolutely worth stepping into. It's not just shopping, it's a small encounter with a brand that has been part of the American story for generations.

I'll never shop there again.

plato's closet they will never make me form a solid opinion on you!!…read more1. the music in this store is so bad sometimes i straight up stop thrifting just because i can't believe what is playing so whoever is on aux please stop being on aux 2. the employees here are way more picky then wyoming but it's a double edged sword because the selection here is better, or maybe the people of fort collins have better taste who knows 3. i'm a straight sized girl who has lowkey disproportionately large boobs, so i'm always looking for a straight xl and they way the plus sized sections are planned out are so confusing i have no idea about if that's costumer error or the employees but knock it off!! 4. the employees here do seem a little judgy but also they are 9/10 times very nice when you need something i'm probably just insecure because it's a requirement to be a supermodel to work here and i feel busted as hell whenever i come in i usually find good stuff here despite the music being so loud and not good, they price higher then most thrifts but also goodwill lowkey be price spiking fuck goodwill

I've never been to another store where they go through my items as timely as they do. The girl's are always working never standing around doing nothing. They go through thousands of items a day. I'm older and I don't take B.S. from anyone. These girl's are sweethearts. All this hate needs a aura cleansing.
