First, the process of working w/ Ron is great. I designed a suit and shirt for the wedding, and have since built a couple of additional shirts (and will continue to work w/ these guys to replace my wardrobe with clothes that actually fit me). There are a ton of options when building a suit or shirt, and Ron balanced his opinion with my taste really well. The end results have been beautiful, fit so well, and feed my ego with compliments. I highly recommend Bespoke Edge.

I walked into the Pendleton store in Old Town Fort Collins today for the very first time..... as I…read morehave never stepped inside a full retail Pendleton Woolen Mills store before. I was truly excited for this experience as most of the time I end up ordering anything from Pendleton online. Pendleton is one of the few surviving American textile companies with a story that stretches all the way back to 1863, when English weaver Thomas Kay arrived in Oregon and began building woolen mills in the Pacific Northwest. That foundation eventually led to what became Pendleton Woolen Mills, a company famous for its iconic wool blankets and textiles that became deeply tied to the culture of the American West. In a time when so many brands have outsourced everything overseas, Pendleton still weaves much of its wool fabric in the United States. That alone makes it stand out. What makes this location even more special is that a full retail Pendleton store is actually rare to find. You simply don't see many of them around the country, which makes discovering one right here in Old Town Fort Collins feel like a real gem. And it fits perfectly here. Old Town already has such a wonderful mix of boutiques, restaurants, and independent shops, and Pendleton adds something unique to that landscape. It brings a sense of tradition and craftsmanship that you don't encounter very often anymore. The store itself is beautiful, and the quality of the products really stands out when you see them up close. The blankets are absolutely stunning and clearly made to last for generations. They are honestly a little too warm for where I live now, but I still love seeing them and appreciating the artistry behind them. I especially fell in love with their towels and bathrobes, and there were also some clothing pieces that really caught my eye. In a world of fast fashion and disposable goods, walking into a store connected to more than 160 years of American manufacturing history is refreshing. If you are spending time in Old Town Fort Collins, this store is absolutely worth stepping into. It's not just shopping, it's a small encounter with a brand that has been part of the American story for generations.

I will be the first to admit it--I am completely smitten with J.Crew. In fact I am a total sucker…read morefor J.Crew. Really, they have whipped me into J.Crew submission. If I didn't have a job, I would wait anxiously at my mailbox for the catalog to fall into my hands every month. Then I would hole myself away, flipping through the pages and thinking about tweed, argyle, and Italian shoes. Anyway, it was a joyous occasion indeed when I discovered that there is a factory store within a 45 minute jaunt from my home. Let me explain that the J.Crew Factory Store, like the Banana Republic equivalent, has a great deal of clothing that were made for the factory store (rather than irregulars or overstocks). What this means is it might not be completely up to snuff with the clothing from the regular store. I've purchased a lot (A LOT) and I have found that it is good quality but can lack some of the extra detailing that I admire in much of J.Crew's goods. (e.g., a grosgrain ribbon trim here, silk piping there...) But I have gotten a lot of great clothing, so this is just a word of warning. Also, they have no shoes or handbags *dots tears away with printed silk-twill scarf* but their sale selection is always marked down even further from their already quite low prices.
