Zuly's is by far my favorite New Mexican restaurant I've ate at, the owner Chalako is awesome and extremely polite every time! The food is always amazing, and in my opinion the best chili cheese fries in the state, his chili is just phenomenal! It's a cozy little restaurant with nice outside dining as well, over all a really nice ambiance. If you're in the northern part of the state or passing by Dixon stop in for some food because you will not regret it

Food was fantastic. Potatoes were crispy and flavorful, and got the Christmas Chile on my omelette, and could pick a favorite because both blew my mind. Yummy gut warming and soul filling food served up to you by amazingly great cooks and staff.

Excellent chef. All on point as many have stated from the main to the rice and beans. Really outstanding New Mexico food - all the flavors come through crisply and well cooked and not drenched in cheese, oil, or (shudder) floury chili sauce. All hot on arrival. Highly recommend - locals tout all I've not tried from sandwiches to burgers to salads. Side note - what a friendly group servicing!

Two hour drive to the airport, 2.5 hour flight and another two hour drive to Zuly's and it was worth every minute. If you are anywhere near Dixon NM you have to try this place. The roasted flavor to the green chile and the smoky flavor of the red chile really is like none other I have had anywhere in New Mexico (really, anywhere). The restaurant isn't anything fancy but the food is five-star all the way.

    Big Sur!

The best Mexican food in this area! Try the shrimp enchiladas verde. Get a small side of sour cream, lemon and green chile, worth the few extra pesos. He is the best, his wife is always kind, too!! PBH - former Head Pro/GM for Pebble Beach MCH - former Host/Floor Mgr. for Clint Eastwood

Great food, nice atmosphere, and the owners are wonderful. Have never been disappointed with their food, and I eat there often.

Small, out of the way spot in the high desert. A pleasant surprise, good food, friendly staff. Will visit again and again!

Hidden Gem Alert | Taos, New Mexico…read more Some coffee shops announce themselves. Others let the coffee do the talking. Tucked away in Taos is one of the most unassuming coffee shops you'll ever find. From the outside, you might drive right past it. Step inside, though, and you'll immediately understand why there's always a line out the door. My daughter and I each ordered iced lattes. She went with vanilla and oat milk, while I stuck with my go-to combination of oat milk and honey. Both drinks were outstanding. Smooth, balanced, and packed with flavor without being overly sweet. I've had coffee all over the United States and in several countries around the world, and these lattes easily rank among my favorites. The coffee impressed us so much that we couldn't leave without grabbing a bag of their light roast to take home. What stood out just as much as the coffee was the atmosphere. The staff was incredibly welcoming, the service was excellent, and despite the constant flow of customers, everyone was smiling. Yes, you'll probably wait in line--but trust me, it's worth every minute. One funny moment from our visit: I had just found an open table when a gentleman told me, "I was saving that one." I laughed, told him to go right ahead...and then watched him walk over and sit at a completely different table. It gave my daughter and me a good laugh and made for one of those random travel memories you don't forget. Final Verdict: If you're visiting Taos and consider yourself a coffee lover, this place belongs at the very top of your list. Fantastic coffee. Friendly people. A welcoming atmosphere. And a line that tells you everything you need to know before you even take your first sip. Sometimes the best coffee shops aren't the flashy ones--they're the ones that quietly become unforgettable.
