However, this is not a mall to find vintage furniture & light fixtures, although that could change at any time-- depends upon the vendors who are renting space. The mall was clean & very well organized. I would have loved to see more mid-century finds, but I also know items from the 50's thru the 70's sell almost the moment they are tagged for sale. We'll definitely return. This mall was highly recommended by two respected owners of a Sarasota antique store we frequent. It's worth stopping in again & again!

Captain Mike is a true craftsman. He retired from the US Army and after retirement learned about…read moreclocks and how to repair them. He learned his trade as an apprentice for several years in Germany. He just repaired an antique clock's inner workings for us. The workings are housed in a Swedish tall clock body. It turns out the clock's working parts are actually a rare American made bell strike made in the late 1700's or early 1800's. He restored this beautiful clock and it is working perfectly. It now keeps perfect time and the chime is working after being silent for 30 years! Captain Mike repaired several hundred years of botched repairs. And if you are looking for a statement piece for your home, he has a wide array of any kind of clock imaginable. A perfect repair and he is easy to work with.

Mr. G's Flea Market is a large outdoor Flea Market with at least as hundred stalls selling used and…read morenew goods and those selling fruits, vegetables and things to eat and drink. We always would go around the outdoor stalls in the morning when we got there and making the big circle around the grounds. Then, it was getting warmer so we went inside for the other vendors. I would always get the fruits and vegetables I couldn't get in my local grocery stores such as Japanese squash that is so good in Albondigas and caldo de pollo. Then it was about lunch, so I'd go bythe stalls that served food to see what looked good. I always got an agua fresca to go-usually, mango or watermelon, if they had it. There is a minimal charge for parking and can get super busy with a line baking down the road. The parking charge is fast and you get in quickly or go before the rush. I definitely recommend going to Mr. G's Flea Market. It is always a good time looking and finding things you want, and lunch is cheap and delicious plus, since it's so large, I call it exercise so it's a great day on all fronts!!
