We came here with family the day after Christmas. We never would have found this market on our own…read more Off the main road, you have to drive on a winding dirt road until you reach the parking lot. They charge a dollar to park. Due to the timing, not all the booth spaces were occupied. We spent about a half hour walking around checking out the folks that were there. There weren't many folks shopping. The vendors are on grass and dirt. You have to be a bit careful walking around as there are many dips and holes in the ground. There was one produce vendor. We got some lovely huge radishes from them for only $1. Most of the other vendors were clothing, tools and accessories, jewelry and a couple household items. One vendor had a mix of antiques, junk, and collectibles. I did find a gal selling some miscellaneous items on a side table -- just to get rid of them at 50 cents apiece. From her, I bought a lovely sheesham wood box that had been spray painted silver. I'll use this for an art project. I also got a pretty silver and black bracelet. So, two bargains for just a $1. They're only open certain days. So double check before you make the trip. I imagine in season -- and not after a holiday -- that there are more vendors, and it would be more worthwhile. I'm still glad we got to go. Always like checking out the different markets and thrifts.

Dress for the weather because part of it is outside and the inside space has a lot of people coming in and out so if it is hot outside, it is hot inside. There were a lot of cool vendors at the market. I was looking for plants that were different from what I already have. I have a lot of succulents and cacti, a couple orchids and some other random plants so a good plant sale is always a good place for me. In addition to the plants there were many other vendors with crafty items, or specialty items or jewelry. However, I didn't find anything that I couldn't live without. A cool part about having the market here is that you also get to stroll through the creative clay area and see the art that people there have made, which is also for sale. They also have some artists working wheels so people could see how pots start. I think I enjoyed this part of the market more than the vendor portion this time around but I know I will be back. There were also a couple food vendors outside but nothing spoke to me that day and since Three Sisters Brewery is a block from the parking area, I went over there to have a snack and a CBD bev.

This is my third visit to the St. Pete Indie Market and my first time going for the holiday market…read morein December. It was a beautiful day and there were a ton of people at the market and on the streets of St. Pete. I'm not sure if the market had grown since I haven't been in quite a few months or if there were more vendors due to it being the holidays but it seemed a little bigger this time. I love spending my money with locals! I saw LoudMouth Lips which is a fave place to get locally made lip and eye color. She had the most vibrant colors and I've found myself taking some risk on brightening up my makeup selections. I found some new folks too. An artist from the St. Pete area named Marcus who does some incredible mixed media prints. Some folks who sale yummy sausage and call themselves Crooked Johnson! Body Butters by Vanessa who makes her own lotions and colognes. The Sandoval and Amber smell fabulous. And one of my other faves for vintage clothes and accessories, Orange Grove Vintage. You can find all of these on Facebook and IG! So many awesome vendors! If you are in the St. Pete area on one of the Indie Flea Market Saturdays, stop by and support the small business and artists in your community!

There is usually a large and good selection of items ranging from furniture to art, book and music records. I found some excellent bargains on furniture from the 1930s. I love that they are usually able to work on the price with you, and they get in a lot of new stock regularly so if you don't find what you need one week it may well be there the next week. They are also able to do deliveries in Sarasota for a reasonable price. Great customer service

(I'm looking at you, red door with stained glass that I've been thinking about since leaving ) This is *the* place to go if you're looking for "that" piece you need to fill a space or even if you're missing a piece from something old and antique! They have millions of old doorknobs, old stained glass windows, lighting fixtures (both interior and exterior), tons of random lumber (need a replacement piece for your original hardwood floors? I bet you'll find something there!) and the list goes on! Do yourself a favor and stop by.
