A decent vintage shoppe. Additional stars if you're coming for vinyl! This vintage shoppe has been open many years. Including its owner (Rick), there are currently 7 vendors occupying space in 18 rooms. Two-thirds of the large house are filled w/ merchandise that belongs to Rick. This is a shoppe filled w/ mostly lower priced vintage pieces-- lots of trinkets. The better antiques I did find (like glassware) were generally overpriced. This is not the place to come if you seek quality antiques. There are some among the hordes of vintage merchandise, but not enough to summon a return visit. I did get lucky & find mid-century solid brass geese which I've been seeking for quite awhile. Rick had the pair priced $39, but let me have them for $33 after I requested a discount. When you shop here, always request a discount; it's worth asking. (A Yelp friend later reached out to me w/ an online pic that showed my brass geese listed @ $169.) I was impressed w/ one aspect of this shoppe. There are over 3,000 RECORD ALBUMS, along w/ many singles. This is where those who play VINYL should definitely come. There were a few miscellaneous sales on items throughout the shoppe. Rick is rough around the edges-- quite particular, but he knows vintage & he does buy merchandise. If you're interested in SELLING MERCHANDISE TO RICK, follow these steps as they came directly from him: (1) Phone him first. (2) Tell him what you have. (3) If he's interested, email him quality photos of what you wish to sell. (4) He'll then tell you what items to bring to the shoppe for him to decide what he'll purchase. This might be a FUN STORE FOR A NOVICE who enjoys anything vintage; however, it was not for us. It was time consuming to go through the multitude of odds & ends while frustrating that there really wasn't much to see-- just a repetition of lower quality merchandise in every room.

The vintage McCoy Pottery bowl that reminded me of mom's mixing bowl. Yep, I bought it in excellent condition.

I love it! I hadn't visited in such a long time but mainly because I had stopped collecting for a while. Mom and I had everything we needed. Now that mom is no longer with us, I'm finding myself looking for more memories of the past. Not that I need to because I have most of her memories scattered throughout my home, and she had some wonderful antique furnishings. Her memories are everywhere, but there are still a few things that I had wanted to keep but was too overwhelmed at the time we were selling her house. Silly things like mixing bowls and pots. Anyway, I remembered Sweet Memories on Parsons. A place that both mom and I visited a couple of times. I feel like it's bigger than I remembered. There are 18 rooms filled with vintage collectables and furnishings. Even one of the hallways was filled with a collection of vinyl records. I have never left this place without a purchase. I purchased 2 purple and white Crown Ducal pheasant bowls back in 2007. I saw a plate this past week and almost bought it. Instead I ended up getting a small Spode Blue Tower plate and a McCoy Pottery (Made in the U.S.A) bowl that was in perfect condition. I didn't see the bowl right away. In fact, Rick was asking me if I was looking for anything specific. I described the bowl I was looking for and he knew exactly which one. He found it for me and it was just what I wanted. My mom had one just like it. I thought it might have been her bowl but it's not. I think it was one of the items that broke during her move from Miami. Anyway, I have good memories of mixing the chocolate chip cookie batter in that bowl. So, yes I bought it and for a reasonable price. I am super happy to have one. You never know what you may find here. The inventory comes in daily and things are bought very quickly. Like I said before, the collection looks bigger than what I remember from my last visit. It truly has grown. The owner is very nice and helpful. Just tell him what you're looking for and he may have it. They have yard sales from time to time with really good markdowns. They're having one this weekend. If you live in the Brandon/Valrico area then you already have passed by it many times on your way to Kerby's Nursery. If you don't find parking on the side of the house then pull around back. There are lots of areas to park under the trees. You may be there for a while browsing through everything. It's a great place, and I'll continue to return more often.

Owner was condescending and outright rude. I walked out on him. Never will step foot in that place again. I'd give zero stars if I could.

(The vintage store next door shares that honor.) This may not be where you come to find higher end antiques, but there's definitely a great deal of vintage odds & ends here. There's even salvage. Hours are 11 AM to 5 PM-- FRIDAY THRU SUNDAY. Not only is there a small house filled w/ merchandise, but step outside under the carports to browse the large quantity of additional merchandise. What might you discover? Glassware, bakeware, & serving sets; toys & games; miscellaneous wall decor; furniture; lamps & lighting features; tools; clothing & shoes; costume jewelry; small appliances; vases; golf clubs; misc sporting goods; wood pens & cutting boards (both new); candles, homemade soaps, & rag dolls (all new), etc-- SEE ALL THE PICS Seriously LOW PRICES on everything, yet there were still many items discounted up to 50%. The female owner was very sweet & her Mexican hairless puppy was fascinating-- I couldn't resist snapping a picture:) Will we return when in the area again? Of course! My buddy was able to pick up a legitimate mid-century metal, butterfly wall sculpture for almost nothing. Although he's going to keep it for his home, now that it's been cleaned up & he's added three glass vintage votive candleholders, he could easily sell it & make a large profit on it. This vintage shoppe sits beside The Florida Farmhouse Market. DEFINITELY STOP IN should you enjoy anything vintage, along w/ savings! And do converse w/ the lovely owner. She was so gracious & appreciative of having her business added to Yelp.

Its hours are Friday thru Sunday 11 AM to 5 PM. The business advertises itself as offering "Antique, Vintage & Primitive Furniture & Pieces." They also take items on consignment. These owners are PICKERS-- they sort thru farmhouses & barns to locate what you'll see on the shelves, walls, & floor. (The wooden mid-century owl I bought here was the only thing the owners located in one particular room of a barn.) Prices here were REASONABLE-- VERY LOW on most items. The female owner we spoke w/ was VERY friendly & also willing to give discounts on purchases. Accompanying her in the shoppe was her gorgeous & friendly House Dog. Her husband was perched on a bench out front near the entrance. The shoppe offers hand-poured candles by a local candle maker, as well as many excellent vintage toys-- a very nice selection @ low prices. You'll also find Fiestaware; home decor; primitive furniture (aka pre-industrial); window panes; glassware; & pretty much anything a regular antique store & salvage shop holds. Due to the nature of picking, merchandise here will vary quite rapidly. We definitely want to return due to the possibilities of what we might find upon each visit (& due to the excellent pricing). Check out this vintage shoppe; it's WORTH YOUR TIME!

I did a couple sound test with one of my new gear was looking for something in particular for my short form film projects. After playing around i found something i recognized from one of my many previous jobs! A train cabin key! Bro these are pricey in online antique forms. I got it for $3.25. I already came up with ways to use it. Both film and i been researching clockwork builds. I love that art form so much. Its heavy on the math and physics. Cant wait to start! I saw something new they had on display. They had a couple of black lights show casing "Sugar glass" the antique glass reacts to the black lights and shine very brightly. If u like unique collections n decor? This would be a great way to collect old glass ware and just display for parties. Or for streamers with cyber punk notes. Kid you not the glass almost looks like a digital vector. Although i played with alot if things? I was happy with the key. I saw something that we both wanted but we dont have room for it. On our way out of the other store someone else bought it. It is the name of the game. The gentleman looked very happy. It was a one of those old school record players built into a table. It would had been nice to have space for it, we already have a family heirloom like that. Mom brought hers from Germany. love buying records for it n let it soar. No power just clockwork.
