Loved this store. I've driven past it many times before, yet have never stopped. Well, that changed this past weekend. While my niece and I were driving to the beach, we saw it again, and this time stopped! They have so many cool things! From medical tools to dinosaur bones. Gurneys to creepy dolls. This is the ultimate store for a person collection, or for a haunted house. I mentioned to them while there, when I eventually buy a home, I will be back to buy decorations for it! read more

I've read many reviews about this place and all of pointed to it being a weird place with unusual things. No amount of reviews can prepare you for what is inside. It's definitely a unique place! You have to go in expecting to see some crazy things! It was stepping into a movie scene, somewhat of witch doctor's lair. I enjoyed how they organized the shop. Wow! This place was fantastic! It was like walking into a Haunters paradise. From the goat person mannequin out front to the myriad bones, costume bits and books that lay about here, I was in heaven. What can I say, I like ODD. If you're looking for pieces for your Gothic decor, this would be a place to look. Do you need bits and bobs for your Mad Scientist display? You'll find it here. Do you need a cage to keep your captive? (only for a scene, not for real, folks) It's out in the back porch. Be sure to check out the Rope Snake, that's a piece of art. I especially liked the Christmas Ornaments made with Sage and sea horses, those were being made by the Cashier and quite unique. There were some "objectionable" pieces near the register, but they are historical. There is a market for them, and thus I must mention them, but not what they are, after all, they do have antiques here. Also, there's a Gorgeous Jeep out front that was for sale, with AMAZING spider web doors on it. LAWDY! The Haunter in me wanted this for myself. This place is like a haunted house ( in a good way ) . Pickled baby animals - all sorts of old medical equipment- fun old costumes - cannon balls from the civil war- ammunition shells from World War Two- lots of skeletons of things - stuffed dogs and snakes -so much stuff . I felt like I was back in time at Barnums Museum . There are several rooms and a lot to look at - take your time and spend some time looking at all this odd stuff . There's even a back yard with some fun things to look at . We didn't buy anything but will be back if I need to find an unusual prop for a show or a unique gift . It was really interesting only time I think I'll ever overhear " Honey look ! Here's a cows eye for only 25 dollars ." We had a real good time . Check it out ! read more

My favorite antique store in the area. So unique and macab. Owner is super friendly and reasonable.

WARNING: I have to be honest here, while the collection is the most unique, I have seen, I would hate to be a POC that stumbled into this place without knowing everything that is being displayed. It seems odd and fun at first until I saw the massive collection of KKK paraphernalia in the back corner and realized the smell of eggs was formaldehyde. That and the large collection of medical torture devices is extremely alarming. By the end, I felt an overwhelming urge to GET OUT ASAP. It felt too real to me like this place is not just a shop. Now, I still would have loved to have a conversation with the owner and see where he stands, give him some benefit of the doubt, or satisfy my curiosity. But he was talking to a different customer and I had the heebie-jeebies. This place really lives up to and exceeds the name! Definitely more than I bargained for, but hey -- I'm the type to close my eyes in scary movies. This shop is definitely for a certain type of person, it really reminds me of the intro clips for the American Horror Story seasons. read more

Did not realize we had this kind of shop around in the area. We went to a similar place in Baltimore, MD last year and my son loved it. I'm so glad we found this place! Very cool store with lots of interesting and odd things. It's jam packed with everything imaginable and has quite a few different rooms to explore. If you are a collector of odd things, this is definitely the place for you. We probably spent close to an hour in here just looking around. There was honestly so much to look at. Lots of antique medical supplies, strange things in jars, stuffed animals, women's vintage items, vintage fishing items, little trinkets and baubles, etc. There's even an outside area with large, strange decorative items. I'm not sure if they were for sale or not but they were cool to look at. The store owner/staff pretty much left us alone to look around which was nice (I hate being hovered over). I don't think we were able to discover everything that the shop has to offer, there was just too much inventory. Will take another look soon! read more

This store can best be described as cryptic. Definitely some odd and different types of items in this store. It's interesting and creepy at the same time. This place is a lot like a museum with a great curator. I love going to this place. It is chalk full of odd items including taxidermy animals, medical specimens, antique medical equipment, pictures, post cards, odd and vintage clothing, and really fun signs for those who appreciate an odd sense of humor. Several parking spaces are marked with body out outlines and you immediately notice several headless dolls and doll-less heads! The guy that owns the place is friendly and interesting. This is one of the most amazing shops around. You really have to see it yourself, this is truly a place to find antiques and yes some very odd finds, but all of which are so interesting. All sorts of very old dentist items, skulls of animals, and some amazing old photos of people from like the 1930s or 40s. There's also a really big selection of very old clocks, vintage hats and furs. (I'm against furs these days, but I understand back then it was a different time.) If you collect glass insulators, take a trip here, because there's at least 4 huge shelves full of them. I can't get close to explaining all the interesting antiques and of course some oddities. Even though I love shabby chic, this is not one of those shops, and I found that to be refreshing. The owners are super friendly, just strike of a conversation, he is full of information. This place has great prices and very unique items. If you are especially into items that re-purpose bones/antlers and like medical instruments this is the place you have been looking for. I have been to almost everyday antique store in Pinellas County and this is probably my favorite. You will see lots of reviews about stores having variety, but most antique places are asking for top dollar or even auction prices (If the reviewer didn't actually buy anything they probably don't know much about prices). This place actually wants to sell items and their prices reflect that. The owner was helpful in locating a particular item and was willing to sell at a great price. If you actually want to buy something this is the place to go. I will be back and can't wait to see more one-of-a-kind items. read more

My husband and I went in twice over the last two weeks and found it hard to ask about prices (the three items I picked up were not marked/priced). When we asked the girl working she seemed annoyed that we asked and said she had to call. We waited a while, went back to her to ask, she said she had not heard back. When she was able to give us a price, one of the items she said was not for sale! I asked why and she said I don't know and walked off. I was happy a unique shop opened in the Largo area...But will not go back. The prices I did see are on the high side. I believe customer service, better prices and / or just prices on items would go a long way for this business. read more

Frank's shoppe is really more of a museum whose relics are for sale. This shoppe has everything from skeletal animal and human remains, antique medical and dental equipment, to antique clocks and vintage nautical devices and Frank's own original works of art. There is vintage clothing, old guns and books, religious items, vintage motion picture projectors, movie memorabilia, taxidermy animals, power crystals, antique telephones, old wind-up gramophones, Hallowe'en decor, and more. I am now considered a regular at the shop as I have been there on numerous occasions, and I have yet to see everything there is to be had. A trip to Oddities and Antiques is always an adventurous trek. Even if you find nothing there that you can't live without on your first visit, a subsequent visit may prove to be different, as the stock changes.
