My husband and I had an excellent experience with our recent purchases at the "You Never Know Thrift Store." The business is family owned and the pride in ownership shows through in the quality of items in the store. The owner, Fred, was congenial and very helpful in answering our questions. We purchased a used couch for a reasonable price. The couch was in good condition and delivery by the owner was prompt. Fred was a PLEASURE to deal with! I bought new furniture for my condo on AMI- and I live in vermont..... needless to say the task of donating and moving furniture from 3000 miles away is daunting! I contacted Fred and sent photos of the living room set I wanted to donate- and he was happy to help. I had a friend that was there to let him in, and she said they were polite, and on time for the pick up. I will be visiting his location when I am back on the island to get some items for the condo! What a great store. They have such a wide range of everything you could think of. The store is always well stocked and very clean. The owner is friendly and very helpful. If he doesn't have something you are looking for at the moment he will take your number down and contact you once he has it. He doesn't sell crap so you know if you buy something he has checked it out to make sure it's workable before selling it. You won't find that kind of service in most places like these. Worth a look. Fred is amazing to work with I have patiently waiting for just the right sectional for my space and not wanting to pay ridiculous store prices I found a high end gorgeous piece priced extremely well and in brand new shape, Fred was able to get it delivered and set up in my home within 48 hours now that's service!!! The name says it all. Owner is always incredibly welcoming and kind. You never know what treasures you will find in store, but follow them on Facebook to get a first glimpse of new arrivals. And, if you are looking for something specific, they encourage you to send them a message (they likely have it!). Prices aren't crazy cheap, but they are reasonable. Fred was very helpful in suggesting where to go for purchasing a mattress that would be in stock and even offered to deliver the mattress along with the furniture for a small added fee.
