We have made several trips to Whitfield Exchange in Bradenton. It is a very nice consignment shop. There are quality brands and the furniture is in excellent shape. The ladies who work there are very happy to help! It is a stop worth your time! We have purchased some lovely pieces from them! They also can arrange delivery with an independent delivery service. I agree with those who say it is not the cheapest place around, but for the quality, the prices were 1/4 to 1/2 of retail, it seemed. It saved us a lot of time shopping elsewhere since it had so many pieces of furniture, arranged attractively! read more

We were looking for a coffee table and this was one of the places we found. They have higher end lightly used furniture for really good prices. They take 10% off for every month that an item is unsold. Also can arrange delivery (for a price- not sure how much as we didn't need it). Found a beautiful wood, glass and metal coffee table for a very reasonable price. Sales person gave us paper and tape to wrap the glass portion in. Table fit in the back of our small suv and we took it home that day. Service was good and selection was great. Will stop in again if we need furniture in the future. read more

For sure, definitely, absolutely! I like this place. I bought a brown leather Barcalounger when I first moved to Florida about a year ago from here. It is one of the most fantastic chairs I have ever sat in. Came with a great little ottoman. I follow them on social media and look forward to the store tours. I haven't seen one in a while. Definitely like the Facebook posts and Instagram too. Quality furniture comes through here. Keep in mind with quality furniture comes a quality price even if it's pre-loved. I will definitely be back. Moving into a new house and I'm going to need some things. I should stop by a more regular basis. I've only been in here four times over the last year. but I dig it every time. Looking forward to the next Facebook live store tour. read more

a pleasure to do business with. Bought many pieces of furniture here and everything was perfect.

I always look there first when I need furniture, whether it's one piece or a room full! Great prices for quality pieces. Worth my two hour drive. read more

I have bought and consigned at this store. Definitely quality merchandise. However, after leaving a SASE envelop as directed when I left the area, I never received payment for merchandise sold nearly three months ago. I was told it was mailed more than a month ago and if I didn't receive the check it's my problem. If I would like to pay THEM a $30 stop payment on THEIR check, they will cut another check. Rude and extremely poor business practice. Kathy R 10 minutes after my critique posted, the owner, a lovely lady named Lindsay, contacted me. She was unaware of the problem but rectified it immediately. I am very satisfied. Courteous and professional! read more

There's a lot of good things to say about Whitfield Exchange. I needed some furniture to furnish my mom's new apartment at an Assisted Living facility. They have a pretty large assortment of merchandise including furniture, beds and lots of decorative items. Most of the things I found there are decent to very nice and in very good condition. They appear to be fairly selective about what they will take on consignment. They are helpful, nice and will go out of their way to help you find the items you need. My only complaint is that they seem completely disinterested in any negotiations. I made a fairly close offer on a headboard and a mattress / box spring set to which I was told "they don't usually negotiate". While I found their pricing somewhat reasonable (but definitely not cheap), I was terribly surprised by their "no negotiation" policy. In their defense, I will point out that like most consignment stores, they lower the price of any item after each successive 30 day period that it has been in the store. But then, this is just the norm for this industry and by the way . . . so is negotiating on price (IMO). I did buy a few things and I definitely would go back but I will continue to let them know that they would do more business and have faster turnover of inventory if they considered fair offers. read more

Whitfield Exchange has really high quality merchandise considering it's a 2nd hand store. I've even seen on several occasions, Tommy Bahama furniture in there. The customer service is great as well, the staff always makes sure that you are finding everything you are looking for and if you need any help. My only complaint is that they overprice EVERYTHING. Couches tend to range around 100 dollars, tables can range from 35-100 dollars on average. It's just generally overpriced. So if you have really good bargaining skills, bring them. The staff may fight you tooth and nail but if you are persistent, they will bring the price down. read more

Although I did not purchase anything, I enjoyed walking around to see what they had. Everything I saw was in great shape.

Fun to browse even if nothing is needed. But if you are looking for a specific item, they are there to help you - no pressure.

Nice store with good selection. We were impressed with how clean everything was. We found a nice bedroom set. We will be back.

One of my favorite thrift stores! Great quality and fair prices. There furniture is always clean and well taken care of!

We love the Whitfield Exchange. They have high end furniture and their prices are reasonable. We are from Illinois, and bought a condo in Bradenton. We don't have a lot of time to spend at the condo so it is very nice that we can pick out furniture and have it delivered the next day. read more

As both a buyer and seller through The Whitfield Exchange I have received great customer service. I highly recommend Whitfield for both buying and selling. I have found that using your own "mover" is much better than paying their mover. read more
