I called Habitat for humanity to schedule a pick up and to my shock and surprise "like others have said in their review" they are charging an astronomical amount of $ for pick! I wouldn't mind paying a small fee but over $250 is ridiculous and to make it worse these items will be sold at the store so they've made MORE for our donated goods!! I think Habitat should rethink their current policy it's making you look bad! read more

Used to be one of my favorite thrift shops back when it was at the old location. Now, it is pretty much just new-in-packaging overstock, furniture, and overpriced home goods. They were selling old stained lamp shades for $20-$35! The selection is also not as good, along with the new prices. Not even worth stopping now in my opinion, unless you are looking for furniture. read more

Terrible customer service. When we first entered the store, my husband accidentally entered the cash register section, while beginning to wander aisles. A clerk who was sitting behind the counter looking at his phone snapped " YOU CAN'T BE BACK HERE!" There would have been so many customer friendly ways to address this instead of snapping at someone who was confused. Another employee was loudly complaining to a coworker about how "she" keeps scheduling pick ups for furniture, when they have so much already. He grumbled that "she" said she won't turn them down because word would get out and people won't ask to have things picked up any longer. The music isn't customer friendly either. It was too loud and grating. We weren't impressed by the prices. Everything seemed higher than in other Habitat Restore locations. We normally love shopping at these stores, but this was a one and done visit. read more

We must like this place, because we keep going back for more! Having recently moved to the area we were in the market for furniture. So far we have gotten a book shelf, dresser, dining table and chairs, and love seat. Prices are just okay and they will NOT dicker and deal. I found a stocking there at Christmas time that was exactly like what I had just seen at the dollar store and they absolutely refused to take less than two bucks for it........and I had just donated a bunch of stuff to them. Yes, if you're looking for some furniture, by all means shop here! They even help you load your stuff. Prices are very reasonable and affordable. I can afford new pricy stuff but why when I can buy pre-owned like new. As for hardware please check it out! They also have used appliances. Enjoy! read more

I do not recommend this business. It is extremely overpriced. The lady that runs it stages houses and uses things for her own benefit before placed out on the floor. The Habitat for Humanity in Sarasota has outrageous prices. They think they are an upscale furniture store. The people there are also rude. I do not recommend the Goodwill in town is also outrageously overpriced. read more

Don't recommend this place, they treat people bad they jack up prices that not everyone can afford. Found a cools set of books for my son in law. Also an exceptionally cool treasure, I purchased a set of egg cups from England. The store was organized, staff pleasant and best of all willing to negotiate based on internet pricing for a win win for all. Definitely will stop in when ever in town again. read more

DO NOT deal with these people. Trusted them to pick up used furniture on a certain day so we could install new flooring. Appt.was set up a week in advance confirmed the day beforehand and then they show up and decide to refuse to take the stuff!! This left me in a terrible situation that is only costing me time and money I don't have and all because I was trying to do something good. My opinion is call another charity and have nothing to do with these people. read more

Tucked down a quiet road. Get inside through a garage door inside of a warehouse. Lots of furniture, small amount of clothes and accessories. Lots of junk. Many kitchen dishes - china- kitchen utensils and appliances, soil/dirt bags, pillows, mirrors, chairs, tables, couches - prices are high but this store has lower prices than other habitat for humanity stores. New items are never discounted at this location (other locations have '50% off everything' sales - not this location!!) read more

$85 for a used beat up screen storm door you can buy new at Home Depot for $95. Another 'thrift' store sitting on some really worn merchandise but pricing it as if it was nearly new. I like the idea of their mission statement and their activities in the community with housing, but they are shooting themselves in the foot pricing donated/salvaged items for virtually the same price someone could buy it new. Not only buy it new, but have the return policy and warranty of a new item. Why would anyone want to pay sky high prices and then be stuck with that non-returnable purchase and have to go out and get the screws/hardware etc to do the install on a used item? Did this entire bathroom renovation with items purchased from habitat restore. We saved so much money and found everything we needed. The only things we didn't get from habitat were the faucets and shower head. Sink, granite, vanity floors, tiles, bamboo wood all came from the restore. The bathroom is an oasis and within budget! read more

Love this place and the cause! The selection of items are top notch and fairly priced and the staff are so friendly and helpful. Stumbled across the store by accident while heading to another store. Highly recommend you stop in and if you do, it's likely you'll get to meet a furry friend in their puppy play area. That's worth the trip alone! read more

Everything here is over price you can find good deals but a lot of junk like old 30+ year old furniture etc.You can find random stuff at great deals but 90% of everything is over price and old. Retail prices on most stuff,they keep the nice things inside that little store when first walk in but everything else are out in the warehouse. Only reason we go there is to see what they got sometimes they do drop the prices after a while so wait till they do before we buy. Normally we buy little stuff like cookware wall pictures etc but nothing that's over price. read more
