Plainview is the new home of ZuckerBaker's bake Ashop formerly of Wantagh. Kosher bakery is tucked back in a small strip center in Old Country are just east of Manetto Hill Rd. Fresh made challah bread, hamentaschen, rugelach, Mandel bread. Simple looking but fresh cinnamon or chocolate babka just out.. Babka was not some super Brooklyn multi layer work of art. Here it's more of a gentle softer crumb cake like babka with moist center. Simple but closer to how they likely were fifty years ago. It works. Bakers working in the back. The nice woman up front wouldn't sell me the one on the tray as it was yesterday's and taken out. She boxed one from this morning just made. Nice reliable Kosher bakery.

This place is a diamond in the rough. We stopped into multiple bakeries in search of yummy rugelach. We had already purchaed from two highly rated locations in the same week! Finally we found this little place, thanks to a recommendation. While the rugelach were great, my favorite was their linzer cookie. We got two pounds of mixed selections, as well as a half pount of rainbow cookies. Everything we got was delicious. Highly recommend to anyone looking for quality baked goods.

Zucker's made us Disney frozen themed desserts for two separate parties for our daughter. The cupcakes were delicious and for her cake we asked for their version of strawberry shortcake and it was so incredibly good! Everyone raved about it at our party and bonus because it's completely safe for our friends with allergies.

The fact that this bakery is nut free, dairy free, sesame free would make it great, but the quality of the product is excellent.

Everything was also packed up and presented so nicely. My mom picked it up and she said that an employee helped and brought everything to her car. She even said the employee kept the meal for 6 and the meal for 4 separate. The cover for the tray with fries was poked with holes so that it wouldn't get soggy. Talk about a simple afterthought! The meals came with with different types of kabobs (2 different chicken ones, and two different beef ones), Chicken Shawarma, Israeli salad, hummus, fries, babaghanoush, two different kinds of rice and pita bread. We also had falafel. Let me tell you....everything was so delicious. I wasn't even hungry after my first plate but I still helped myself to more. Everyone in my family throughly enjoyed. It's an unassuming storefront that's connected to a barber shop and although it's located at a pretty busy intersection, it's easy to miss (as far as I'm concerned). So I tried "keplach soup" for the first time and it was enjoyable. I didn't even know what keplach was until I googled it while looking at the menu. If you're not aware it's similar to a perogies, or a ravioli or a wonton (you get my point). The dough however is a little thicker and it's cooked in the consomme broth. It wasn't the most flavorful soup I've ever tried, but it was good nevertheless. The potato pancake, although fried, was a lot lighter than I thought it was going to be. Nice crunch with good potato flavor. The pastrami Reuben on a club roll was very satisfying. I usually order it on rye bread but was in the mood to have it on a roll today. It held up well and didn't fall apart or get mushy like rye bread usually does. Pastrami was sliced thin and had a nice (but mild) flavor. Decent sized sandwich and prices are on par with all the other kosher delis in Long Island. Service was fast and friendly. They had plenty of other tasty looking items in the display case as soon as you walk in. Maybe next time I'll try something different (again). It wasn't outstanding (3.5 stars), but it was a good meal and it warrants a return visit.

I want to also add the 1 Star doesn't reflect how nice the folks are at Regal. Why am I leaving a 1 Star..... $10 for a pint container of Cole Slaw ... REALLY??? It's Cabbage and a little Carrot ... it's delicious but $10 ... you don't have shaved gold in it. Last time we bought it, it was $8 and I thought THAT was outrageous. So last nights Cole Slaw will be the last time for us. ShopRite Woodbury changed their Cole Slaw recipe recently and it went from Good to Really Good and it's $4.99lb and sometimes will go on sale. I will work on perfecting that sweet tang we enjoy since Cabbage is one of the least expensive items in produce.

We came in before noon on a Sunday and had our choice of tables. Their deli offerings are pretty consistent between stores, with a large double-sided tabloid sized menu. But the service here is just that much better because Marjorie was our server and she treated us like we were her family. As at all Ben's Deli's, you always start with a deep bowl of pickles and a boat of tasty cole slaw (don't be shy if you want a refill). The soup of the day is Chicken a la Reine, which is basically cream of chicken and I love all creamy soups. It comes in a large, wide bowl, but I miss having saltine crackers in my soup. My wife orders the Rachel Panini with pastrami on rye and 2 Ultimate Paninis, one with pastrami & corned beef for me and pastrami & brisket for my son. All the sandwiches are toasted on the panini press and come with a choice of potatoes as a side and Russian dressing. My wife and son go with potato latkes and I go with the thick cut crinkle fries like the Nathan's fries down in Coney Island. Theirs come with apple sauce, which I like to slurp up as dessert. Gotta come back next time to try out the Ben's Deli Dog or maybe a nice Hot Open Brisket sandwich with plenty of gravy.

When my father-in-law spoke with a manager about the wait, the attitude of the service staff seemed to change. The food was later brought to the table in a manner that felt rushed and unprofessional, as if our concerns had become an inconvenience. To make matters worse, my order was incorrect. I ordered a turkey burger with salami, but was served a turkey burger with pastrami instead. I initially thought something looked different, and later confirmed on the receipt that the order had been entered incorrectly. No one checked back to ensure the order was correct, so the mistake went unnoticed until after the meal. Mistakes can happen in any restaurant, and delays are understandable when a business is busy. What was most disappointing was the lack of communication, the apparent frustration shown by the staff after we raised a concern, and the overall feeling that customer service was not a priority. We have enjoyed Ben's in the past, which makes this experience particularly disappointing. We hope management will take this feedback constructively and use it as an opportunity to improve both service and communication.

I found some recommended bakeries that would have taken me over an hour drive (/r LongIsland), but i decided to give BNB Plainview a shot. I called and asked about the dairy-free selection and they were incredibly helpful. Encouraged, I swung by during my lunch break and was very impressed with their dairy-free selection. Didn't realize that their entire menu was gluten free and tree-nut free (I have n=1 friend who would have appreciated this). I also liked that they separated the vegan and non-vegan items (we were fine with eggs so went non-vegan). The same person I spoke with on the phone greeted me and I went with her recommendation of the non-vegan chocolate mousse cake. While waiting, I had a gluten-free multigrain bagel (toasted) with cream cheese. It was really good! I was pretty shocked because I expected it to taste like cardboard to be honest. Now the mousse cake. I held my breath as the birthday girl ate the first bite. She loved it! Guess what. I loved it too! Well if I ever need a nut free, gluten free, or vegan baked good, I can take a short drive to Plainview for BNB. I may also return for a bagel.
