Literally, all of the froyo places in the Troy/Birmingham area have closed. Zoyo is literally the last place that exists within a 10-mile radius of where I live, so thank god it's decent. Sure, you get the annoying lines full of kids taking forever to taste a million flavors and dunk their froyo with toppings, but the actual frozen yogurt itself is decent. My friends and I combined tasted probably all of the flavors (there were around 12), and we all ended getting vanilla. They do have 1-2 vegan options here too! There were plenty of toppings, which I appreciated. My go-to is always white chocolate chips, fruit, and mochi. Their fruit was very fresh (aka visually appealing) and even though the mochi was a bit weird that the different colors were flavored, I was just glad they had it. In terms of price, the place is right around the middle - neither cheap or expensive. Man, eating here really made me miss Sweet Earth in Birmingham. Also, know that the seating here is very limited. Be prepared to eat in your car or walk around in the strip mall (very nice area) if you come during peak hours. Service is pretty much non-existent, but what's nice is that they let you do your own sampling! read more

The older man who was helping us was wiping sweat from his face as he took our order and was talking to the customers in line behind us while my 10 year old was attempting to order. He literally asked her what she wanted and as she was telling him, he turned to the customers behind us and said "this will just be a minute" as if we were inconveniencing him. My daughter had to then repeat her order since he had ignored her the first time. My husband and I decided we would go to Dairy Queen instead after that. read more

I've been having froyo withdrawls since all the places around here have closed shop :( I have to be honest, I wasn't blown away with this frozen yogurt. It was good sure, but it wasn't anything special. The flavors weren't special and the toppings weren't special. It's all been done before. But like I said, it was good. I wouldn't turn my nose up at it. What really made this review a 3 star instead of a 4 star is the customer service. When we were done making our cups we stood there waiting there in line with 3 other patrons in front of us just standing there waiting... with no cashier in sight. So we stood. And we stood. And we waited. So I went back and tried another sample. And we waited. Finally someone guy got pissed and walked to the back room and said "would you like us to pay for our ice cream or walk out?" lol. read more

I love Zoyo! Simple as that. They have great flavors that are constantly changing and they never disappoint. One day they may have a captain crunch berry flavor which literally tastes like a bowl of cereal and milk and the next they'll have rice krispie or an oatmeal cookie that's to die for. The toppings are always delicious and they have a great variety. The staff is great and helpful and they have a rewards program which is always nice. I've been to many frozen yogurt places, and Zoyo is below average. I love unique flavors, but this place only had the basics and a couple fun ones (fruity pebble -- cool!). The yogurt came out runny. I was satisfied with their large selection of toppings and boba, but in the end, my creation tasted like chemicals. Also, I like adding a little bit of cookie dough, but this place had their cookie dough portioned out in tiny containers. I only wanted half of what was in the container, but I didn't know if I could pick my own portion or not and leave a container half-filled, so I didn't get any. Overall, their selection, presentation, and flavor did not blow me away. Any other frozen yogurt place is better. read more

This place gets busy! Snag a seat while you can. I love that you can sample your own flavors first. I ended up the Vernors Boston Cooler flavor (yay for supporting MI brands!) and it was very tasty. However, i noticed that many of the yogurt flavors tasted fake and chemical-y (cake batter and chocolate especially). I know it's not health food but it kind of tasted...cheap. Compared to other frozen yogurt places this wasn't the best tasting actual yogurt but i still enjoyed it and the fun atmosphere. They also should restock their mangos frequently because they were soggy and gross. Other than that, it's all good. I also like the cup dividers so i can make half fruity and the other half more decadent. read more

The best froyo place in the Metro Detroit area! The original tart flavor is solid, and the seasonal oatmeal cookie flavor is my favorite. Toppings always look fresh, especially the fruit. Visited Zoyo today for the first time, and think their frozen treats are delicious! They let you sample their treats before you guy, which I really enjoyed, and all of the yogurts and sorbet that I tried were tasty. Zoya quickly became our favorite go to place for frozen yogurt!! We also quickly became regulars. We have been to many local yogurt places and Zoyo beats each hands down with their high quality product that tastes out of this world!! They have a large assortment of fresh fruit and goodies on the fix it bar, our personal favorite is the Mochi!! Customers are welcome to take their own samples which is a huge plus. We stopped in on a Saturday night, and had some good froyo! We were helped by a really nice young man - I think his name was Cole. He was friendly, and was also wiping up the counters around the yogurt dispensers. It was busy but he took the time to mention what was available and even about specials that were coming up soon. There was another young black teen that I think was working there, he had on the same t-shirt, but he was just standing around texting on his cell phone! They had a good array of toppings and it was very clean in there. I got two different flavors and 1 topping. I ended up owing a dollar more than more groupon.
