I joined zoom tan in May because I wanted to get a nice base color for summer. The girl at the counter was extremely friendly and even worked with me having an out of state license as I just moved back to Webster. They have sunless spray and stand up tanning beds. No lie down beds. Facility is extremely clean and there was never a wait. I usually went right after lunch rush at 1pm or later in the evening around 6pm. No one ever in line and I was in and out. You can tan up to 12 minutes but I never went over 8 and have a nice base. The booths have music and one fan setting. They do get hot after about 5 minutes but they have double doors you can open to let in some cooler air. Membership was half off my first month when I signed up but the full price is around 40 bucks a month with perks on discounted spray tans. You can cancel online no hassle if you need to. It only takes about 2 minutes and you get a text confirming your cancellation but you still get the remaining of your month to tan! Really great establishment! read more

I started a month membership because I'm heading to Mexico!! Woo Hoo !! They recently bought all the Sun Tan City's. The one I went to used to be a STC so it needs some updating/renovating. It was just thrown together- needs new paint desperately! I wanted just 1 month - but had to sign up for recurring payments. They said just to cancel online after 10 days of signing up so I don't get billed again. They don't take cash at all. You must have a credit card. The bulbs seem new so far. I used to come to this salon when it was Golden Tans and then Sun Tan City, now I am a customer of ZoomTan. When are they going to update the inside? Everything is dirty, dusty and the walls NEED paint. I have been given bed 23 EVERY time I have visited and the same exact bulb continues to flicker, though I have actually heard another customer let the employees know about the bulb. Also, why are the rooms NEVER cleaned between uses? Just because they are stand up beds doesn't mean the handles and floor and bars shouldn't be wiped down EVERY time. Today my mirror looked like it was slapped with a wet, dirty washcloth and left to air dry. This place is just disgusting. If I hadn't purchased my membership for an entire year I would no longer go... and a part of me is hoping they remodel and I will have my faith restored at least a little bit! I would NEVER go back to this business. BUYER BEWARE! Read the reviews of the biggest scam going! I purchased a 1 month tanning package on 2/23/20 at the Webster New York Empire Blvd location. during the check in process the clerk told me that the lotions were 50% off. I initially declined. After tanning, I decided to purchase a $100 bottle.The clerk had to call customer service to see if i was still able to purchase because i initially turned it down, but was still at the facility. Customer service OK\'d the purchase. (of course they did!!) I went tanning on Monday(2/24) and skipped Tuesday (2/25). Upon arriving on Wednesday (2/26), I saw that the EXACT lotion that I purchased for $50 was on Sale for $29. I asked if I could get reimbursed for the difference. The clerk called customer service and the answer was no. I was upset and asked to contact customer service myself. When speaking to the service representative she again said no. I asked her to speak to someone higher than her and she said that there wasn't anyone. (really?) She stated that I had to write to customer service (the same group that I was on the phone with) and write a complaint. HERE IS WHAT I WROTE: "I have worked in customer service for over 25 years in a major corporation. Never have I abruptly shut the door on a situation (a $21 difference) in which customers are your livelihood. Also, I would NEVER talk to a customer the way I was spoken to today. Major department stores offer a price match when a product goes "on-sale" within a matter of days. If this is your policy, it is nowhere at the salon for customer to read and understand. If this person is your go-to Customer Service Representative, then I am surprised you have any Customers at all. The lack of compassion that I received from this woman will clearly hurt your business because there a multitude of Tanning salons around. I chose this one because my daughter (and I for that matter) have been members for years. I would like to request a refund for the difference of $21 for the lotion sale, or a credit for which i will use to purchase another month. I would clearly understand if it was something that was purchased weeks ago, but this was a matter of 3 DAYS! If I am to be completely honest here, If I do not receive one or the other options, then I will no longer frequent your establishment and I will cancel my daughters membership (as I stated she has been coming here for years. I'm hoping that you will honor my request because I would hope that you wouldn't want to jeopardize losing 2 customers over a $21 refund. Thank you for your consideration. ARE YOU READY FOR THEIR RESPONSE?? You received a $100 product 50% off. We had a sale a few days later, but that does not entitle you to a credit. You threatened on the call that if we did not credit you, that you would go to YELP, Facebook and other platforms. We do not respond to threats, and for this reason we are standing with our decision and will not be honoring a refund for your product that you already received at a heavily discounted price. REALLY? I have been going to this location for years. I went here previously when it was Golden Tans and new the owner very well (tells you how old I am!). There is a new girl there (blonde with teal highlights at the bottom) that is so unbelievably rude and unprofessional and makes you feel extremely uncomfortable. She doesn't say hello, asks you where your goggles are as you are holding them up in your hand and then pressures you (DAILY) to buy the EXACT same product. She then looks you up and down in disgust when you tell her 'no', so she proceeds to tell you the benefit of it making you darker... with a total attitude. When you say 'no thank you' again, she doesn't even ask how long you want to go for just rudely whispers under her breath what room you'll be in. I have two friends and a family member that also go here, 1-2x per week that have also dealt with her and say the same thing. She seems to be overly friendly with the male clientele and wants nothing to do with girls her own age (assuming her age). I thought the first 2 or 3 times she was just having a bad day, but I think it's just who she is - horrible customer service especially when the other women there are SO friendly and sweet and HELPFUL! She needs to go or take a class on customer service. She belongs in the back of a McDonalds where she doesn't interact with people!!! read more

I am so disappointed in this specific zoom tan . I have been a member for quite sometime along with a ton of friends and family members that go there . I called today with just a few questions and the lady I spoke to (I believe her name was Jennifer ) was no help at all . Sounded like she was almost annoyed talking to me and Answering my questions. At the end of the conversation I was over it . I then called back later to cancel my membership and asked her what the best way to do this was and she online, I said thank yo..... before I couldn't finish I hear CLICK and she hung up on me. I was with Golden Tans for over 20 years.... loved them! Zoom tan is horrible. No air, the booths are for a size of a teenage boy. When getting a spray tan you automatically start sweating because there are no fans. The atmosphere is not welcoming at all. No pictures,no signs .... nothing. I would seriously give negative stars if Yelp allowed. Visited the Webster location last night and was met with the most unprofessional and dense individuals ever! I was attempting to purchase a monthly membership and this associate did not know how to even register me. She scanned my license about 6 times, which prompted six text messages to my telephone and then she swiped my credit card several times. She informed me I would be billed each month on the 1st and I then inquired if the amount for April was prorated and she said she didn't know what that meant and I would be charged the full amount for April??? She then said your all set and I said ok where do I go to tan. She said oh you want to tan today???? Another associated who claimed she was a manger, came over but didn't want to be bothered at all helping this girl out. After 20 minutes (no lie) I requested my money be returned to me. Due to the incompetency of the employees, I lack any kind of trust that they are actually even capable of keeping my personal information from my license and credit card private, or cleaning the rooms, which scared me. I was told that they could not preform the refund and I had to call a long distance number and request such refund. Which I did and the woman that answered informed me that they should have been able to void at the store. Unbelievable. A half hour of my life that I will never get back. Train your employees properly! Hire managers that are friendly, helpful and can problem solve!!!! I will never recommend this establishment to anyone. read more
