This was my first adventure in spray tanning, and Glow did not disappoint! While it's not a perfect…read morescience for coverage, it was pretty darn close and anything that was a little off was not at all where it was going to be noticeable. I had a ballroom dance showcase event that I wanted to have some fresh color for, so I went in the day prior. The only downside to the whole process was that I felt like I should be standing still and dry for at least 12 hrs, and I was unclear on when I could actually take a full-on shower (with soap). I'm giving this 4 stars instead of 5 because I left Glow feeling like perhaps my new tan was going to come off by the next day if i wasn't super ultra careful (and prob smelly due to no shower). It turns out that while some of the intensive color did come off with my first rinse, the remaining color was perfect for my dance event and I would definitely come back here again for the next showcase. *Note - parking is near the back of the building and the entrance is the same for the adjoining salon - just have to go up the staircase to find your Glow. :)

I didn't know what type of look to get so I had the technician suggest a color formula for me. I tanned topless with my underwear left on. It was completely comfortable after the initial Second when she came in the room. I figure they see the same thing all the time so I should get over myself. The color is great and not too dark. Very natural looking. I will def visit Glow again!

I had both positive and negative experiences working with Dena of Sunless2Go. Dena was incredibly…read moreprofessional, personable, and sweet! I came with my mom to my makeup trial at Dena's studio and Dena walked me through everything. She had a great eye for what looked best on my skin-tone and facial structure and wasn't afraid to say, "you know that doesn't work for you, we should try this". At one point I wanted to try a nude color (which I'll call Color A), but Dena, my mom, and I all agreed that the nude color looked dry and chalky on me. Dena wonderfully informed me that I would need a richer color to imitate my actual lip color, which I couldn't achieve using a typical nude. So we went with the non-nude color (Color B) that was perfect for my lips. My mom and I left feeling great and very confident in her services. On the day of the wedding Dena was punctual and sweet, and even offered to help when we couldn't locate our wedding coordinator. Dena was excellent in many ways, but there were a couple things that did not go so well. One of my bridesmaids had an unfortunate reaction to the eye makeup Dena used. Her eyes were burning and watering. Dena was great and helpful and tried to fix it, but even after Dena left, the issue came back and my bridesmaid had to have my friend (another makeup artist) remove and redo some of her makeup. This same bridesmaid felt uncomfortable that Dena cut down her false lashes with a pair of scissors so close to her eyes. Maybe this is a standard practice, but my bridesmaid wasn't comfortable with it and was not pleased with her overall makeup. My mom was not thrilled with her makeup either, and altered it a bit as well after Dena left. I also had an unfortunate experience as the bride. Part of Dena's services included a bridal touch-up kit so that I could freshen up my lip color right before walking down the aisle. This is such a thoughtful service and was one of the reasons I chose to use Dena's makeup skills (along with her great knowledge and professionalism). However, minutes before the wedding ceremony started, I used the lip color in the touch-up kit to freshen up my lips only to discover that my lips looked completely different than they had right before reapplying. I showed my mom and my bridesmaids in case I was mistaken, but they all agreed that the color was not the same color. The new color looked very dry and chalky (almost just like Color A which we decided NOT to use during my trial). That was incredibly disappointing and disorienting, but my mom helped me wash off the incorrect color and I applied some of my own lipstick instead. That was a very stressful, frantic situation because it occurred minutes before the ceremony started! After the wedding, while I was away on my honeymoon, I contacted Dena about having received the wrong touch-up color and she was incredibly apologetic and accommodating and arranged to send me the right color. She ended up sending me Color A again (the incorrect color)! Once I informed her of this, she noticed that she had Color A written down in her notes so she concluded that I must have received the right color all along and that it only looked different when reapplying at the wedding because I did not add all the necessary coats of primer as she did. I was disappointed by this response because during my makeup trial, Dena was so detailed, and both my mom and I remember vividly that the color we chose (Color B) did not require layers of primer when she applied it. We remembered that the color came on perfectly without any manipulation. And if it were true that the touch-up color would require so much manipulation and extra primer to look nice again, why was I not informed me of this when I was left me with the touch-up color? I believe that Dena accidently wrote down Color A instead of Color B after my makeup trial (because while I was finishing my trial another client came in so there was a bit of a shuffle and rush to switch places) and then on the day of the wedding I believe Dena used a lot of primer and manipulation to make Color A look similar to Color B, but in the end when I reapplied it, I was left with the chalky color that did not go well with my skin tone or my lips. Beyond that lip-color mix up, Dena did an AMAZING job on my makeup (the pictures are gorgeous and I couldn't have asked for a better look!) and she was incredibly kind, prompt, personable, and professional. I would recommend, though, to future customers that you write down yourself what makeup colors and brands you decide on with your makeup artist so if you accidentally get a color or another service that does not seem correct to you, you can verify yourself with your own information, because everyone makes mistakes. Dena tried to resolve the issue, which I greatly appreciated and she was very responsive. In the end, the issue was not able to be resolved and I never got the name or a sample of Color B, so I requested a refund for the touch-up kit.

Recently signed up for three months unlimited tanning (basic package). Apparently the basic package…read moretranslates into "poor customer service" option. Nikki, the girl that signed me up was wonderful, attentive, informative and very pleasant to deal with. I have tanned 6 times in the last week and a half and have never waited less that 20 minutes to tan with the exception of yesterday morning when I was waiting at the door at 8am. Often times I walk in and they take my name and I am literally the only person in the wait area and 7 or 8 people walk in and are immediately put in a bed. I do understand that the lower level tanners have limited beds to use however on more than one occasion I was put in a room, undressed and was ready to hit the start button only to have the girl knock at the door and tell me she put me in the wrong room! I knew it was the lowest level bed because it was the same room I was in previously. I explained that I was already undressed and ready to tan and her reply was "You need to get dressed and switch rooms, someone else is going to use that one". Seriously? What is that all about? Another time I approached the desk after 30 minutes of waiting and the girl at the desk said, "Oh, this must be you, sorry I couldn't read my own writing so I didn't know what that name was". And you couldn't say excuse me, Miss, I see you've been waiting a while, what was your name again? A little common sense and a lot of basic Customer Service training would go a long way in this place. With so many other options available in Greece, NY I am begining to regret the choice to tan there. I guess I have three months to see how really bad it can get.
