After spending two weeks with us there, we drove with her to Florida, where we are living for four months. Tilly is incredibly sweet, but she struggled with pulling on the leash, barking, reactivity, and listening. She also had no door manners when guests arrived. We reached out to Avi, and he responded immediately, offering guidance and--most importantly--hope. We saw results during Avi's very first visit, where we focused on confident loose-leash walking and door manners. Over the course of the month, not only did Tilly's confidence soar, but our confidence as handlers improved dramatically as well. We can now walk Tilly confidently on a loose leash, and she truly is a perfect lady. She reliably "leaves" high-value toys and treats when directed and has shown tremendous improvement at the door. While we are still working on her stay and recall, Avi gave us the tools and knowledge to continue mastering those skills. Avi is kind, humane, and clearly passionate about what he does--we affectionately call him "the dog whisperer." He formed an instant bond with Tilly the moment he walked into our home. Avi understands the behavioral differences between breeds and took the time to see Tilly as an individual, thoughtfully considering her history of abuse while also understanding who we are as owners. We feel incredibly fortunate that we--and Tilly--found Avi, and we would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone seeking compassionate, effective dog training.

The rate was a few bucks but there were others with crazy higher rates. Our first class or 2 were good. Our dog does like a game and was so happy learning the commands via games and rewards. Our instructor recommended for social skills to maybe switch to 1/2 or full day visits. A doggie day school. We switched to that. It's been a couple weeks now and its been good. They work hard to train him. They post videos, many of which are on line before we even pick him up. It gives us the joy of seeing how much fun he is having. He is always looking so happy learning(and getting treats). I'm glad Dynamite Dog Training was recommended to us, its worked out well.

He was jumpy, it was hard for me to control him and it was offensive to others because he weighs 65 lbs. i like fixing things, so we put ourselves through training with Mike & Champion Dog Training. At the first lesson i was excited and felt great leaving, but during the first week i was scared to enforce because doggie was sensitive to the collar. Mike gave me a little pep talk over the phone and we made it to our 2nd lesson. I cannot get him into a down/stay using force, Mike says Im soft on him, but he's doing great with everything else we learned. Stay, Stand, Sit, Heel, he's a very smart boy & im very proud. We have continued practicing even after completing the 4 week course. I now feel confident I can control him and there has been a shift in Big D., like he knows I expect more and is waiting on my que. My husband and I have two senior dogs (9 and 10 y/o) and a 10 month old cattle dog mix puppy named Freya. Our goal was to "tidy up the manners" of the older pups but also focus mainly on Freya as she was much harder to keep focused on a task and higher energy than even our border collie was as a puppy! She pulled HARD in her harness, couldn't sit still to learn commands without getting distracted, and barked when her canine sisters barked at anything. We also wanted to be sure that the older dogs' other bad habits weren't going to rub off on Freya too much. This was barking at doorbells/knocks/deliveries and also jumping up on whoever walked through the front door, both us and our friends. Heather's methods are so logical, effective, and easy to put into practice; two months after our sessions with her the training has stuck! Our friends comment on how good our pups are when they arrive, no longer barking excitedly and leaping up on them but quietly waiting with tails wagging for the ok to approach and receive attention. On walks with the prong collars that she recommended on, our two dogs that would pull no longer do as they receive a quick gentle tug on their collars otherwise. I took my dog Riley to meet with…read moreshay who recommended us to one of his trainers for in-home training on feb 4, I explained that my dog was very smart and obedient, but I wanted a safe way to get him used to other dogs because Riley freaks out every time we take him on a walk when he sees another dog. I felt the sessions the trainer provided us were kind of weak and basic, during the course of 5 months the office or the trainer canceled several times. I paid for 10 sessions and got 7 sessions all of which I was told were supposed to be 1-hour sessions but never got more than 45 mins total per session. I called a few weeks ago after no contact from their main office or trainer for a month asking what was going on and for a refund, but they haven't responded other than to know they don't offer refunds. I feel their main office and trainers do not do a good job of contacting you and my dog is still terribly scared of other dogs and has made little improvement.
