My friends and I went to Zona Blu for a weekday lunch. Service was quick and our server was friendly and helpful with the menu items. It was pretty busy, but it was still pretty relaxed - not too noisy. The food was very good - fresh and flavorful. Plus the portions were good/ generous.

Lovely Sardinian restaurant in Weston! Four of us shared several starters including octopus, salumeria (selection of meats & cheese), and a margherita pizza. For entrees we ordered Salmon Al Moscato, Gamberini all Griglia, gnocchetti, and pasta made in the cheese wheel with truffles. Most of the food was excellent. The Salmon sounded a lot better than it actually was. No dessert as we had birthday cake at home. They had mentioned on the reservation that it was my husband's birthday, which was not acknowledged. Otherwise, the service was great and the food arrived almost too quickly for a leisurely meal. I recommend reservations as the place was packed by the time we left.

Made reservations for Mother's Day dinner. The restaurant is located at the end of a strip mall with plenty of parking. We noticed that there were quite a few outside tables - all of which were filled. We were seated about 5 minutes after checking in. The inside is relatively small and the tables were packed very close together. I'm not sure if this is their normal since this was our first time there, but I was seated about 7 inches away from the back of the person beside me. For starters we ordered the calamari. I really had high hopes for this place because our calamari appetizer was delicious. The calamari was seasoned well and the zucchini pieces mixed in were delicious. They were also seasoned and fried perfectly. For entrees we ordered the lasagna, the risotto with seafood and the short rib with fettuccine. The risotto was not good. The risotto was like a paella rice than what risotto is supposed to be. The short rib was cold in places. Flavor was good but the dish was cold. The lasagna was good. For desert we ordered the apple desert and the pistachio gelato. The Apple desert was ok but the pistachio gelato was delicious. However, for $15 I would have expected at least 2 scoops of the gelato. The average dish is about $35. The short rib was $55 and the risotto was $45. Given the prices there is an expectation as to the quality of what we will be eating. I spent about $240 with tip and it was not worth it. I won't be back.

The service was exceptional. The atmosphere transports you to being in their region of cuisine. Very Italian/ Mediterranean. The wine selection is great and reasonably priced. The food was delicious and savory. My wife had a lobster filled ravioli that was cooked perfectly. I ordered a seafood pasta with pesto. Although the flavor was refreshing, it was over sauced. It over powered the simplicity of the dish to enjoy all the seafood components.

I just love this place! The staff for me is always good. I let them take the wheel on guiding me with what I should get to eat because all the food is great here! Tonight I had the Pecorino Soufflé. A delicious cheese soufflé with a truffle Alfredo type of sauce with it. Super rich and just Devine! I had my server choose my entree. First before telling you what I got, I want to preface when you buy a meal at this location, please forego the pizza on the 1st visit if you can. I say this not because the pizza is not good- quite the opposite, the pizza is exquisite here!- but rather because there are just so many interesting items on the menu to try that are more unique in my opinion. Now, for my dinner I got the Ferrari pizza which was topped with burrata and quanciole (sp?), and truffles. So good! My server complimented each of my Meals with some wonderful Sardinian wines. My only not so favorite thing tonite was normally they have patio seating, but that was not an option that evening. And the weather right now is gorgeous for Al fresco. So inside the ambiance is Italian Seaside Cafe sort of? Just like Parisian cafes, the tables here are also very close together. Of course I will be back! One of my favs and I always recommend to everyone looking for good Italian fare!

Amazing take on Italian food, while providing a refreshing menu that offers something new. The soufflé pecorino was the highlight of the night for me and my girlfriend... a must have appetizer Everything was fresh and served in good time... The cheese wheel pasta beat any other in the area....(the pasta could have been a bit warmer but it was way too delicious to complain) The Sardinian style of Italian cooking offers new options that stray from the boring predictable menu that most Italian places offer..: The desserts are also delicious The cherry on top however was how attentive , kind, and homely the staff were with us ! Will return for sure

I had high expectations for this place and it has been on my watchlist for some time but I was not impressed by the food that they served. Maybe it was a bad night I never want to write off a place from one experience your experience may be different from mine but... I'll probably pass on a 2nd visit. My pictures show well plated but the food was just... meh. We got all specials of the night and maybe we should've stuck to the classic menu items.

This place has not too many tables so it's best to call if you're really set on going a certain time and day. The inside is cutely decorated. They provided some garlic bread for free. The bread was light and good and the garlic flavor was very mild (which I prefer!) We also got the meatballs as an appetizer which were very good as well. We got the eggplant parm, lasagna, vodka pasta, and the cannelloni. The lasagna was GREAT. The pastas all had a good flavor and portion as well. Inside while we were eating, lots of people came in for takeout or to dine in and it seemed like the employees knew everyone. I thought it was nice that they value their returning customers so much. The portions were a good size, and we took home leftovers. The desserts were also to die for. I had a hazelnut cake that was light and delicious, and my girlfriends had the tiramisu. Nothing was left. Plates were cleaned! Overall, it's the kind of place you're so so happy to have nearby in Pembroke Pines. Great food, warm atmosphere, and a team that clearly cares. I'll definitely be going back.

It's a smallish restaurant but they also have seating outside. From what I understand they do have an area for private parties. We were seated and given our menus and told about the house specials. I ordered the taglioline cacio e pepe and my husband got the fettuccine meatballs. All the pastas in the restaurant are homemade and the one I ordered was prepared table side in a cheese wheel. I don't even know where to start except to say that this was so delicious and definitely one of the best Italian dishes I've ever had. The cheese sauce was so creamy and there was a slight taste of truffle in there. They ask you if you'd like pepper in it so I had them add a little bit to cut out some of the creaminess of the sauce. My husband's fettuccine was equally as delicious and I loved the meatballs and I'm usually not a person who likes restaurant made meatballs because I think mine are the best! For dessert we split a slice of tiramisu and it was very good. Sangria was very good as well. Mimmo, the owner and chef came over to say hello and to make sure we were enjoying our food and service. As for the food, the best part of the meal was the bread. It was warm and delicious and our food runner/bus boy even gave us a fresh loaf to take home. My kids ordered plain pasta, which was fine ($7 each so not too bad). I had the chicken francese with pasta with marinara sauce. The francese sauce was too eggy and not nearly lemony enough. The marinara sauce was really more chunks of tomatoes than actual sauce. I will say the portion size was large. My husband ordered the salmon special with vegetables. The salmon was fine, but the veggies were hard and not at all seasoned. Overall, our experience was okay, but there are so many local Italian restaurants that I wouldn't come back to this one.

And the food delivered on every level. We started with the pizza, and it was exactly what you hope for: fresh, well-proofed dough with zero flop, a perfectly crisp bite, and that spot-on sauce-to-cheese ratio that's harder to find than it should be. Balanced, flavorful, and just plain satisfying. But the real star of the afternoon was the Spaghetti Carbonara. Instead of bacon, they use prosciutto, and it takes the dish to another level--deeper flavor, a cleaner richness, and an overall more elevated bite. The sauce was silky and indulgent, but never heavy or overwhelming. Every forkful felt like the perfect mix of comfort and "wow." We didn't get dessert this time (big mistake), but that just gives us another reason to come back--because we will be back to work through more of the menu. Highly recommend. Great food, great service, and absolutely worth the stop.
