For the restaurant to be as busy as it was the service was top tier. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance of this space is a vibe and great for a date night or catching up with friends.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Zocalo never disappoints with the food. A good enchilada combo never fails. My drink was Strong and tasty just like I like it. Can't wait to return

This wasn't our first visit to Zocalo, but we still had some of our favorites. Enchiladas Molé and Ceviche Verde. The flavor of both were great. No wonder it's their house favorite and Michelin recommended. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is inviting per the usual.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Presentation of the enchiladas could have been better being that there was a dirty rim. And of course it was topped with a margarita, which is always a good choice. The staff is welcoming and accommodating. And even other servers, Dillon, thanked us for visiting. We will be back again.

Well back again and usual I like trying something new so I had the Tampiquena which was very filling with lots of a for lunch tomorrow. My wife had the Tacos De Cazuela which we both loved our meals and had a picture of a Berry margarita. Michelle was our server again and she is efficient and personable. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Always love the atmosphere weather busy of not.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I had high hopes for this place. I did think that the tacos were the highlight of my meal. Each taco I ordered was yummy and had all the right things going for it. The rice and the beans were also a smash, I could just eat that as my meal. I did love the chips and salsa & black beans for the table. The chips and the black beans were the ultimate combo. Where they started to fall off for me was the service. We actually asked 3 separate times for more chips and dip, and we never got it. One of those times, the server even offered it, and she still forgot. The desserts were also very mid. The tres leches tasted refrigerator-burned and dry. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Although this restaurant has the fancy atmosphere, not all the food lives up to that expectation.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Cocktails So creative Puritana El Pecador Service They had their A team tonight from the hostess to our waitress Michelle she was incredible made use feel like family. This is my favorite upscale Mexican Restaurant.

We came in on a Monday around 7:30pm. The restaurant was not crowded at all. The air conditioning seemed to be on full blast. The restaurant is very modern and has a really cool bar area when you enter. Our server was nice and friendly and checked on us often. We ordered a blackberry margarita and a smoky mezcalita. Both drinks were great. We ordered the carnita tostadas appetizer and the chicken mole enchiladas. The meat on the tostadas was overly salty when eaten by itself but perfectly cooked. When eaten with the whole tostada it was delicious. The mole sauce was a little sweeter than I was accustomed to, but it also was tasty when eaten with everything. The lime rice was good and the black beans were good too. Overall a nice dining experience.

Came for an early lunch and luckily it wasn't busy and I was able to sit at the bar. I was instantly greeted and served *free* chips and salsa. The chips are fresh and the salsa had a nice spice (which out being excessive). We only came for drinks so I won't speak on the food this time (but it all looked amazing as servers walked by). The Paloma was great and the bartender was great and attentive. It is a little more costly but the environment is cool and trendy.

Met friends for a holiday dinner here, their choice. Been craving a good fish taco but the server said the beer battered fish tacos weren't crispy? Odd, so opted for the cochinita pibil for $26. Nice sized portions of pork, rice and black beans. Everything was pretty good, the pork was tender, but noticed it was sweeter than other cochinita pibil I've had in the past. The taste of the achiote could have been stronger for my taste but I still enjoyed it. Service was friendly and efficient. Ambiance pleasant. We had a nice time and would go back.

I went to Zocalo with my wife, my daughter and her boyfriend last night and we really enjoyed it. I thought the service was excellent. My wife had a delicious Mojito drink that had a mango flavor. They served as chips and like a bean purée and salsa which was also good and then Our waiter John our hostess Shelly they were excellent. The food came out so quick. I couldn't believe it I had three enchiladas one with Molay one with red sauce and one with green sauce, two shrimp and one chicken. I couldn't eat it all, but it was delicious. I would highly recommend it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Not just the service but the ambience was great too.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have a full bar very spacious in area we have the option to sit inside or outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The parking was great too. It was plenty of parking right off front. We could practically see our car from where we were sitting. In addition check out some of the meals. My wife had the tacos. My daughter had tacos. Her boyfriend had a super fat burrito.

The food was amazing, seated on the patio on a beautiful day. Our wait staff was friendly, engaging and efficient. My first Mole' and I am smitten, I split the fish with my daughter in law and got a salad we could share. My partner got the fish tacos that looked delicious, they must have been. My picky eater gobbled them up.

Fantastic Spot To "Pregame" Shows @ Goldfields Next Door…read more SITREP We descended upon the Tack Room an hour before our show for "Ally The Piper" (both the classical AND heavy metal bagpiper extraordinaire) began her show! THE SETUP Goldfields is a charming, rustic country-western stylized saloon that serves up beer at good prices. But we weren't interested in beer and wanted quality cocktails. Hence, our pivot next door to the Tack Room! QUALITY COCKTAILS & DRINKS! The Tack Room specializes an amazing array of martinis, bourbons, and other deLISH cocktail drinks at really really reasonable prices! So this was an excellent choice to chill, thus avoiding the tremendous *noise pollution* we were immediately subjected to upon entering Goldfields an hour later for our show. THE LOWDOWN This is a quality bar with plenty of comfortable seating to relax and have quiet, intimate conversations. So if you and your later friend(s) want some privacy, cocktails at a reasonable price, etc., this is a good way to go.

It's themed around horse racing, but not in an overbearing or... tacky way. The mixologist was delightful and had great recommendations, the lights were dim, and the drinks were all on point. The highlight was the espresso martini, which is among the best I've had. It was reminiscent of the one I had at the Starbucks Roastery in NYC, which is high praise. The other coffee drink that surprised me was the Revolver. I always forget about what a good pairing orange and coffee is, and I'll be taking this one back home with me to try! Every other drink we tried was delicious in some unique way. The Pho drink was savory and surprising, the New York Sour was rich and flavorful, and the Practical Move was refreshing. Will definitely return here after dinner to sip an espresso martini for dessert!

We had the Hoisin glazed ribs, salmon skewers, prime rib, Brick's chicken carrot cake. - Food was presented well - Ambiance was great (tvs too at the bar) - Prices reasonable, especially with inKind - Overall felt clean and comfortable - Friendly service Cons: - Service was a little slow. For example, my water cup stayed empty twice for a while and only got filled when I asked. But it was initially given without asking which was good. Also, waited a bit to order and to get check. - Air condition a tad bit too strong for us. It was about 96°F outside though. - Men's restroom sink with auto sensor would have water runner for at least 7 seconds after my hand was away - Brick's Chicken that has a description of half a chicken shouldn't be taken literally. It doesn't have a drumstick. When asked about it, the server and chef didn't know why. - The horseradish with the prime rib was more of the creamy variety. I would have preferred more of raw horseradish with a bite.

Chicken was dry, bland and uninsired, and a very small portion. I also ordered a side of spinach that was bitter and oily. Another person ordered the short ribs, which were also a letdown, dry and overcooked. My other friend got the meatloaf, which was ok, but definitely not anything to remember. We all ordered soup and salad, and those items were good. It just seemed like the items prepared by the chef were terrible. Also, the time between courses was ridiculous. It wasn't even busy and there was over a 30 minute wait between each course. Our dinner took almost two hours! The service, while friendly, was very slow. No refills, not check backs. The restaurant was not even half full. I dont understand why salad, entree and desert takes two hours to come out. Prices were not in line with the quality of food presented. I was only going to have two drinks here, but watching him craft these artisan cocktails made me want more. I started with the Porn Star Martini which is appropriately named for the champagne ball which explodes bubbly in your mouth- perfect to spoon into your mouth after a sip of the martini! Next up was the Cereza Grande! I watched the bartender make it which was the point of enticement. Loved the sour cherry flavor and citrus fizz! As for drinks, I opted for the Strawberry Rosé Slushee; it's refreshing and the perfect choice for brunch or happy hour. It tastes modestly sweet so I would caution downing more than a couple of these at the risk of a hangover. The Purple Haze (mainly ube foam on blanco tequila) is unfortunately nothing short of a flop. To be fair, I'm negatively biased toward anything tequila in the first place, but this drink tastes like straight tequila. The ube foam doesn't contribute to the taste and awkwardly floats on the surface. TLDR: beautiful interior, good food, and decent drinks (depending on what you get).
