Zocalo is a very unique shop in Little Italy. It sells all kinds of goodies for your home and garden, including hard to find, one of a kind, and imported bowls, vases, and items you may never even have though of before you visit the store. Prices range from inexpensive to thousands of dollars for some of the more intricate ceramic and glass pieces. Zocalo also always has a wonderful selection of potted plants and fresh flowers. During gardening season, find bedding plants and all of the supplies you'll need to make your garden look its best. The courtyard hasa variety of unusual garden items such as a fountain, ornaments, and all kinds of different trees. The selection depends upon the season. Zocalo is also the perfect place if you simply need a bouquet of beautiful flowers for that special someone. Relax for a while at the espresso bar, and enjoy a freshly brewed latte, mocha, or Americano, all served with a small piece of chocolate. There is also a variety of teas, muffins, cold drinks, and other snacks.

Loveliest patio setting anywhere !

One of my favourite downtown cafes. Sitting inside a beautiful greenhouse/ gift shop with a latte and a treat- what's not to love? My butter tart was great. Front and back of store seating, great looking goodies and beverages. Couldn't ask for a better atmosphere to enjoy some quiet time bliss!

The sitting area in the greenhouse. Love it in here!

Every time I come here I feel like I have been transported to summer time with all of the beautiful plants in the greenhouse as well as the colourful, beautiful knick knacks found inside the cafe/store. Zocalo is a cafe/greenhouse/house-ware store. The store and cafe are in one area. Here you can purchase your coffee and a light snack and peruse the wonderful, art, flowers and house-ware items. The menu is simple but good. All typical cafe drinks are provided and an array of sandwiches and muffins to choose from. You will want to get here early if you intend on eating as the selection dwindles as the day goes on. If you so choose, you can sit in the front area of the store at beautiful tile tables or make your way into the greenhouse where you can sit at the large community table and soak in the sun and smell the flowers. The latter is my preference. Who doesn't want to smell flowers while they are drinking their coffee? - especially in the Winter. The greenhouse isn't large but it does offer a selection of herbs, garden vegetables, flowers and and in the back it has larger plants and trees. It also provides decorative planting pots, fountains and other items for the garden. I find the cost of plants here a little more on the higher end but in line with other greenhouses in the city. I strongly recommend coming here and checking this gem of place out. It's a great place to unwind and get lost in Summer. You will not be disappointed!

Beautiful cute little cafe inside a green house!! We love it here. Certainly a hidden Edmonton gem as you would think it just sells flowers, succulents and the like. But inside there is a fully run cafe with great coffee, sandwiches, soups and assorted goodies. There are even 2 rooms for eating - the front of the store and in the green house there is a long table. Certainly helps to beat the winter blues!

This funky flower shop meets home decor shot meets cappuccino cafe is a fabulous little place located at the beginning our our (very little) little Italy. Upon first walking through the doors of this beautiful shop, your nose is greeted with a wonderful aroma of flowers of all different varieties. The ones that really stood out for me were the orchids, but maybe that is because I love orchids. They really do have wonderful ones here. They have them in all different colors for about $30 a "set." The other thing you are greeted with when you first walk in is the smell of fresh coffee. It may seem like an odd combination but it is deliriously wonderful. There is certainly something special about the smell of Italian coffee. After your nose gets used to the wonderful smells wafting around this store, your eyes are enlightened by all the different colors and cool vases in the room. This place has some of the most unique vases I have ever seen in Edmonton. They also don't JUST carry vases. They also have tablecloths, napkins, wine racks, coffee mugs, pots, glasses, and tiny art pieces. Zocalo is filled with beautiful gifts for yourself and others. I came here in the winter and saw that they also have a little patio outside, so I will definitely be checking it out come patio weather! Prices are a little higher for some things, but I think the quality is also well matched so it is worth the extra penny.

I wasn't sure if I'd be able to find something to eat that was gluten free, but I lucked out on the soup of the day, tomato, and had a very fresh garden salad as well. My companion had coffee and a muffin and pronounced them of good quality.

It's a coffee shop that sells plants. They have paninis and sandwiches and deserts. Bright and airy. Quiet. Good place to get away from the winter blues. They sell floral arrangements and knick knacks. There at two rooms you can sit down at. Pleasant spot.

I STILL MUST. HAVE. THEIR DECAF EXPRESSO. And it's 2018! I love that the place is always changing display items. Must. Have. Decaf. Expresso. And did I tell you about the chocolate almond torte? Share with someone special. Chocolate almond feel good high. The truffles, oh they call me but I haven't yet answered. I'm only pretending to play hard to get, as I'm still buying flowers some of their flowers for my garden vases. I've not been disappointed by their plants in the past, so I'm forgoing these sweets until I've bought all my garden treats. More costly than some but the plants are healthy. Funky little things abound here and if I had the budget I'd splurge more, but they do have some things I can always afford. Horizontal bud vases, colourful pots and tiles, garden knick knacks. Great for little hostess gifts. A lovely and unusual variety of fresh flowers. Very clever designer porcelain, fabric and other pieces too. Check out the floral display now = soccer ball has 200 carnations and the sneakers are brilliant. Special ambience inside greenhouse with country table or in the store at bistro set to just chill and enjoy your coffee.
