The flowers can very nicely packaged and they even called the day before to see when I would be home to receive them. I needed to purchase some flowers today to give to someone tomorrow for their birthday, and I wanted to do so close to my work because I had a limited amount of time. I was happy to realize this place was close by and went to check it out after work today. When I walked in I saw the counter, and the table where brides look at their books, and not much else. Then I realized where the cold room with the flowers was so headed in. I was a little bit stunned when I walked in, as there were hardly any flowers in there! Normally when I walk into those chilly, heavenly smelling rooms, I'm surrounded by flowers, and that's the way it should be! In a flower shop... Not so here. There were about three varieties of bouquets and maybe one vase each of three or four random types of flowers scattered about. The bouquets ranged from $25-$50ish. I was seriously underwhelmed and disappointed. The bouquets they did have didn't really catch my eye. I didn't think they were well put together and/or weren't the types of flowers I like. I walked out empty handed, went to Safeway two blocks over (which had a way bigger selection of flowers than I expected) and bought two bunches of flowers for $10, put them together and made my own beautiful bouquet! read more

This Oliver plaza flower shop is small but has a lovely selection of fresh cut flowers. I dropped in to buy a Thanksgiving bouquet, gave them my budget and they put together an absolutely gorgeous mix of flowers. They also use something called wax flowers as filler. Apparently it's the new baby's breath, which you can still get if you want. The flowers all looked super-fresh, unlike some shops which have tired, half-dead looking flowers mixed in with the fresh stuff. This place is a cut above the rest, and the customer service is exceptional. They wrapped it up beautifully and chit-chatted with me as they prepared it. I will definitely come back here the next time I need flowers. read more

I love Best Buds. Unfortunately the times I have visited have been to order funeral arrangements. The staff have always been kind, professional, and sensitive. The flower cooler is never packed, but this is because they stop at the wholesalers several times a week for flowers. I am very fussy about flowers and I really dislike the arrangements that are ready to go. They have always accommodated what I have asked for. And even in the most serious occasions I have heard people comment on the beauty of the flowers. Prices are higher. Like everything in life I think you get what you pay for. The arrangements have never been a jam packed mishmash- so I think it's more appealing to look at. Oh - and there is always oatmeal chocolate cookies at the front! read more

My dad has been coming here for years to pick up flowers for my mom, so I was totally game when my mom suggested it as the place to pick flowers for the wedding. We walked in a staff member sat us at a table with two binders of flower photos. After we finished looking through those, no one said a word to us. The staff members didn't let us know what would happen next. We just kind of...sat there. Eventually, one of the staff let us know that the owner was running late and would be with us shortly. Twenty minutes after the appointment began, she showed. We talked (well, mostly she talked) about our flower options and we came up with a few ideas. Maybe I'm just not that keen on flowers to begin with, but I didn't leave feeling excited or overwhelmed. Being late to the consultation left a poor first impression, so it's unlikely that I'll book my flowers here. read more

Meh, I have seen better flower shops.Maybe Best Buds was experiencing a bad day, flower-wise,but I was surprised at their limited selection.I wanted to purchase a bouquet for myself but walked out empty-handed. There were some sad looking sunflowers, lillys and orchids,gerberas and roses.That's basically it. None of them looked particularly fresh. Best Bud's catalog has beautiful bouquets in it but they are nothing extraordinary and aren't any different from the ready made bouquets you can buy at Safeway flower shop. The prices are definitely higher, though. I may use this shop's services in the future, when I need a custom made bouquet for a special occasion. For now, I am really disappointed that I wasn't able to buy a bouquet of flowers for myself at a flower shop! read more

I am really disappointed with how my flowers from Best Buds turned out for my wedding. In the morning, I went and picked up hair piece. When I told them what I wanted, I sent them a picture of single succulent, and hardly any framing or other flowers. When I picked up my hair piece, it was two small succulents surrounded by a lot of baby's breath. If they were going to change what I asked for by so much, I expected to be told about it by phone or email. I got really nervous about what my bouquet would look like when I saw my hair piece, and the woman in line in front of me ALSO had her order made incorrectly (her flowers were for a grave.) Then my bridesmaids picked up my bouquet later in the afternoon and it was NOT what I asked for. I asked for a bouquet, with a succulent as the main centerpiece, framed by a little bit of hydrangea and baby's breath, and foliage, not round at all, with trail. I wanted it very loose and organic. Instead, I got a perfectly round ball of white hydrangea, with two little bits of foliage, zero trail and the ugliest succulent I have ever seen in my life. It looked like it hadn't finished growing and was a reject succulent. I called and complained and was told they only bought one single succulent and that they had no way to get me another one. So I had to send my bridesmaids all around the city, and they eventually found a new beautiful succulent at Zocalo. Then my bridemaids had to take it back to Best Buds so they could remake my bouquet and they made it back half an hour before the ceremony. This should never ever have happened. I was so specific about what I wanted, and was so detailed in my description, they should never have been able to have gotten it wrong, and I have no idea how a professional florist saw a succulent that looked the way mine did and thought it would be okay to put this in ANY arrangement, let alone in a brides bouquet. I would never recommend anyone trust their vision to be executed by Best Buds. By using them you would be taking a huge risk. Wish I had gone somewhere else. read more

Stopped by to get flowers for a friend's birthday and was underwhelmed by the choice. The cooler was almost empty and what was left was bleak. Every bouquet had weird purple roses and they all looked sad. I thing most Safeways have better flowers. Hard to imagine how they stay in business. read more

I was so pleased with the flowers presented for our wedding. Everything completely exceeded my expectations and when we had two items that were no longer needed, Kimberly offered to deliver the order for cost of the balance that would have been owing, which was less than their delivery normally costs. I cant wait to get my pictures back and share all over social media. Kimberly totally knew exactly what I was going for and what my taste was from just one consultation appointment about six months prior. Booked our flowers a year in advance for our wedding and the delivery guy showed up by himself and was asking people on the street to help him carry the flowers inside, pretty unprofessional for a delivery driver. Our peonies for the head table showed up brown and wilted and were thrown out before the reception. When we asked the florist, she said that's how they are supposed to be and refused to take any responsibility for the sub par quality flowers. read more
