I believe Zizzi is an Italian cuisine chain based in England & has locations in Ireland. We were getting off a boat tour and decided to grab dinner here. Service here is quite slow. The food also was nothing spectacular. I got the pan seared salmon risotto & a tiramisu espresso martini. The salmon itself was not bad but the risotto arrived practically cold. The wait for the food was about 30-40ish minutes. Our drinks, as well as water, came at the same time our food arrived. So we were parched for most of the dinner. The staff also kept avoiding us every time we wanted to ask if our food or drinks were coming. Zizzi kind of reminds me of Carrabba's Italian Grill, which is also an Italian chain with locations in parts of the US. Food is a little better than say Olive Garden but not gourmet, super authentic Italian food. read more

Good food great service - surprisingly good for a chain restaurant- try the sampler platter - arancini and bruschetta were very good.

We ordered two pizzas and both were not that great. Pizza crust, sauce and toppings, they were all mediocre and nothing to write home about. Nice outdoor seating facing the boats and maybe a good spot to have tea and a dessert. read more

I really want to rate this place 3.75 stars. The food was good. I would go back, assuming I had a 3 or so hours. We were seated, then waited 45 min for the first contact by waitstaff. Taking our orders and receiving food took another hour. Waitstaff was definitely hands off for our table (we watched waitstaff constantly frequent a group a couple of tables away, and the restaurant wasnt busy). When we did get to interact with waitstaff, they were friendly and apologetic, but didnt correct the issue. We werent in a hurry, so we were much more patient than we normally would have been. I have extensive restaurant experience and this really pushed my limitations for tolerance. read more

First time here and noticed Zizzi from across the street. It was late and it was open so I gave it a try. Immediately walking in, I was greeted and seated right away. After perusing the menu, I noticed only a few options for beers, which I would think would have more being a pizza place. You can choose your dough and they have personal pizza sizes. I opted for the Sofia Rustica Pizza or in the US we call it "Meat Lover", with spicy chicken, pepperoni and sausage. If you're hungry this portion is perfect for one person or you can share with another and order a side salad. Staff was attentive, friendly and prices matched the quality of the dishes. Really disappointed in the service. I am African American and noticed the servers completed ignored me for 15 - 20 minutes when I sat down. Accommodated all the tables around me. Eventually one came over to take my order. Restaurant wasn't that busy when I came in- although busier now as I write this. Food was good read more

Location is great next to the Tower of London, in the bottom floor of a financial building. No other patrons and they sat a family right next to us, awkward. Went for the gluten-free pizza, tasteless crust. Paid to have chicken added, tiny portions. Tried the lasagna and regular pizza, below average. The appetizer meatballs were nice. Avoid this place at all costs. Just spent 40 USD on a dinner that was complete garbage. Oh, when you ask for water, they don't tell you its 5 bucks. My King prawns were 5 tiny little freezer burnt mini shrimp buried in a plate of watery linguini noodles. Complete and utter crap! The staff was rude and got loud with me, so o got loud right back. The husband and I had just finished out the day with a tour of The Tower of London, and it was getting dark, so we decided to eat somewhere nearby. It's hard choosing just a handful of restaurants to hit while you're in town, so we didn't really try to choose. We just pointed somewhere and said, "okay, there." Of course it wasn't that easy, but for the sake of this review, let's pretend it was. The place was pretty, warm, and inviting. It looked like the kind of restaurant you'd like to find yourself while on your honeymoon, which, as it just so happened, Dan and I were. Our server was sweet, and the food was... Well, I can't remember. I like to think this means it was good, because if it was bad, then I *would* remember. Isn't that the way it goes? Anyhow, looking back, I can only recall feeling very happy while I ate here, so that definitely counts for something. It might count for the fact that there was a whole lot of London Undergrounding going on in my day, and I was happy to be stationary for the moment, but even that is all right. I did notice something here, though, that would become a recurring circumstance on our trip... It took an awful long time to get our check. Now, if you're from the UK and you happen to be reading this, please feel free to drop me a message and tell me if my impression that this is a cultural thing is correct. In The States, we're in, we're fed, and we're out. There isn't a whole lot of lingering goes on... And maybe this falls back to the whole "Americans work for tips" thing, and therefor servers would love for you to get the eff out so that they can herd another group of tippers in. This actually makes sense to me. Anyway, I think this place might possibly have been a chain, but that is neither here nor there. I normally don't like restaurant chains and avoid them as much as possible. This one time when we were hungry, Zizzi was close by and judging by the office crowd that comes in for lunch, we thought Zizzi offers good meals and dropped in. We got seated immediately and after looking at the menu, I ordered a risotto con pollo e funghi and my husband ordered a ravioli. We ordered a cappuccino as well. Service was quick; our meals were served soon. My risotto was bland; I liked the different varieties of mushrooms added to the plate but the risotto itself was super bland. Likewise the ravioli that my husband had ordered emitted a weird after taste. Cappuccino was not better. For sure we didn't enjoy our meal and wouldn't recommend Zizzi. read more

Nice to know they have many vegan options. They also have a vegan menu you just have to ask. I got the vegan margarita pizza with black olives, red onion, and mushrooms. The vegan cheese was very good. One bad thing about the place was that the service was horrible the worst I have ever seen in my life. I have a hunch that our waiter was new. He seemed like he did not care. My dad really did not like his pasta dish, but I think he would like it better if our waiter actually offered him some cheese. read more

Zizzi is OK. As far as chain restaurants go, it's really exactly what you would expect: mediocre Italian food at moderate prices with casual service. This specific location is convenient if you are visiting the Tower, work in the area or are staying at one of the nearby hotels. read more

Terrible; don't waste your time or money. I had just come off a late walking tour and was very hungry. They are open until 11 and I had pasta in mind as a reward for sore feet. I ordered the goat cheese ravioli, which is normally a favorite of mine. It was not what I expected. The portion was extremely small. The pasta was tough at the edges as if it had been frozen and reheated multiple times. This time they must have forgotten to reheat it, though. It was cool to the touch on the outside and the cheese on the inside was barely above room temperature. The tomato sauce was also cold. Not cool. Cold. The plate came out within 15 minutes of ordering so I don't understand how it became cold from the kitchen to my table. I ate just over half of the pasta because most other eateries in the area were closing and I didn't want to go hungry all night. I am extremely disappointed and appalled at how rude and loud the waiter was when I quietly protested the cost of the water, which I was not told there would be a charge for. I have been in town for days and haven't been charged for water yet. I didn't ask for bottled water. The waiter responded to my complaint with, "I don't know how they do things where you're from but we pay for the things we use here." He also huffed and acted personally insulted when I asked how much garlic was in the tomato sauce. Terrible food and terrible service. There is another Italian restaurant two blocks away (Salotto 31) that closes at 10:30. I wish I had walked the extra few steps and paid a few extra pounds a plate. I am starting to get sick to my stomach as I type. This is going to be a long night. read more

Wonderful decor and nice menu. Food items are average to above average in quality. Unfortunately, service was very lacking on our visit. Slow service alone could be fine, but multiple mistakes in the order and delivery of food to the table is unacceptable. At some point, it seems the manager on duty just did not care. Whenever I am in London, I have a difficult time finding food that I like. I guess you could say I am a spoiled American, but I find a lot of the food to be bland or just not what I am used to. I was so excited to come across Zizzi as it was close to our hotel The Grange at Tower Bridge AND the food was excellent! Service was also stellar. We were there late night so there were not a lot of customers, however, some rowdy drunken guys had stumbled into the place and were messing about and being loud and the servers/manager quickly and quietly took care of the situation and carried on with their superb customer service. The service at this spot was extremely slow for us, and we had to wait an excessively long time just to get a drink. Some of my food was cold, like the soup, and my mushroom ravioli had cold spots in them; clearly frozen beforehand. Not worth going here overall, as service was slow and food wasn't very good either! But, I will say, I'm not giving one star because my husband actually really liked his calzone, and items cooked in the pizza oven looked really fresh and came out fast.
