Horrible service. Never had a waiter come to the table had to ask one to serve us. We watched tables walk in and finish eating before our food ever came. Very good! I had the mushroom risotto with the grilled chicken. May parents who are very picky loved the salmon and chicken salad. Mom even liked the dressing. We LOVE this place! It's a staple for us every time we come to London. They have such a large menu so it's easy to come for multiple visits. I love that they have a gluten free menu and their gluten free menu items are very good. The service is a little slow, probably because they are always so busy. But the food is wonderful. I love the chicken spiedini, but we've tried many dishes. My mom really enjoyed her chicken pasta. The gluten free pizza is also delicious! read more

We are vegetarians from the US, and ordered a salad with baked squash and beans which was excellent and filling, and so as the mushroom risotto. We loved the flavor with dried sage on top. The service was efficient and it was a nice outing. read more

We ordered delivery. No issue with delivery driver at all. 5 stars for him. The Casareccia Pollo Piccante was tasty but came in a small box. The brushetta was awful. Just cut in half grape tomatoes with some sloppy pesto on semi toasted bread. First off, pesto doesn't go on Brushetta. Second, you need diced red onions and balsamic glaze. There were neither. The Caprese salad looked like the Brushetta. Just alot of halved grape tomatoes, hardly any red onions, 1 glob of mozzarella that was way too small and NO Balsamic glaze or dressing at all! Plain! This is a branch of the expanding pizza and pasta chain owned by the same group that owns ASK and Pizza Express. The restaurant is basically one large room - it's rather larger than it looks from the outside. The space is filled with tables, so it was fine when I visited for lunch, but I can imagine that it might get a bit noisy when more crowded. The décor is restrained with a wooden floor, pale brown walls, and curved alcoves filled with sawn-off logs as a design feature. (Well, at least the pizza ovens won't go short). Both pizza and pasta were fine - tasty, with reasonably portions, but not outstanding. Starters are around a fiver and mains from £6.50 for a basic pizza up to around £10 for slightly fancier dishes - most around £8-£9. There is a small range of both risottos and main-course salads if you don't want pizza or pasta. My only quibble with what's on offer is that the wine list - starting at £14.95 a bottle - is a little pricey for a fairly standard-feeling chain. The service was OK, but seemed a little slow for somewhere that was rather less than half full. So, not outstanding, but perfectly decent. Great soup to start, though: mushroom with roast fennel. The service was very friendly and attentive, too - despite being choc full. Two quibbles: on a very cold night, chilly air blasted half a dozen tables in every time someone opened the front door. They need a screen or something (the 'air screen' was totally ineffective). More importantly, their disabled loo had furniture stacked outside and other items stored inside, and there was no toilet paper. The waitress said if a wheelchair user came in they would move all the stuff, and that senior management had sanctioned its use in this way. I don't think this is really on: the whole point of disabled facilities is to make it easier for disabled people, not make them feel a nuisance for wanting to use the store-room. They need separate storage. NB: despite having a disabled toilet, there is a 5-6 inch step at the front door: OK for manual wheelchairs with some help, but no good for electric wheelchairs. read more

The advertisement for chilli-infused dough caught our eye. We opted for the Skinny Pizza Primavera with the chilli infusion. I'm very sensitive to while my husband loves spicy foods. There was a good amount of spice for me. The skinny pizza comes as a half pizza and side salad. We ended the meal with the summer special cheesecake dessert so I can tame the spiciness. My husband and I dined here around 10pm on Friday night. We had spent the day on a long bus tour to Windsor, Stonehenge and Bath where they fed us "lunch" at 3:30. So when we got back to Earl's Court I was hungry and Zizzi had some pretty good reviews, was right by the tube, and was still open. We walked in and were promptly seated, however, it took forever for anyone to come over and greet us. We actually saw one server make a gesture to another like, what are you doing? You need to go talk to this table. So after about 10 minutes or more we were finally greeted. My husband ordered a glass of wine. I ordered a still lemonade. We went ahead and ordered food since it had taken so long for anyone to come talk to us. We ordered the cheese fondue to start and then a lasagna to split. Our drinks were brought out promptly. The fondue took a while, but the cheese itself was delicious. I could've eaten up with a spoon. The bread on the other hand was hard and stale, so that was unfortunate. The time lapse between our appetizer and entree was extremely long. We had 3 different people come by to tell us it was in the oven or would be out shortly. Again, we arrived around 10. Our lasagna arrived around 11. That's crazy. Did they forget to put it in? Worse yet the lasagna was pretty unimpressive. We both agreed that we much preferred the lasagna we had before the theater at Wildflower earlier in the week. The bechamel on this lasagna was great, but there was a serious lack of noodles in this dish and these huge square chunks of something in the sauce that did not sit well with me at all. Amazing staff Annalisa and Cherif were so attentive and knowledgeable on the menu, their recommendations were outstanding, food was amazing we started with the house garlic bread with cheese and balsamic caramelize onions-we had a new pizza specialty with pull pork, and the house specialty pasta with a spicy chicken pasta was on point. The desserts we're great we had the house specialty and a new item a chocolate calzone it took about 32 minutes of a wait for it, but completely worth it. To their credit, we were seated sooner than the twenty minute estimate I was given. Our food was quite delicious, and looking around at nearby tables, everything looked super-tasty as well. A fair selection of wines made the meal even better, and the ambiance was quite well done-up. When you're hungry, you think you have the stomach for an elephant, but in reality, you can't eat much more than usual. I looked around to see what others ordered and the lady next to me got this seafood skewer with potatoes! The dish was nicely presented and colorfully garnished, so I asked for the name of the order and ordered the same dish. Unfortunately, they didn't have anymore seafood, so I got chicken instead. Whoa!! THAT CHICKEN WAS DELICIOUS and TOTALLY UNEXPECTED! (Well, I'm from the USA, and we usually eat frozen chicken, which is tasteless.) A fairly omnipresent chain around London, Zizzi nevertheless offers up some good options. A tasty Italian breadboard with soft, dense olive-studded ciabatta slices, a trio of olive oil/chile-spiked oil/balsamic vinegar at your table for individual mixing, and interesting pizza and vegetable dishes make for a safe lunch stop. We tried the Primavera pizza rustica (think oblong, thinner crust): definitely decent, although I liked even more the side of grilled asparagus covered in Grana Padano shavings. The Insalata Rucola was excellent: nice vibrantly fresh rocket, with just a hint of dressing. Although I love finding smaller independent restaurants, sometimes when visiting an unfamiliar city it's good to know which chains are reliable (and, for me, have plenty of salads and fresher foods, as well as various free-range meats on the menu). Plus, offer wines in various glass sizes.... read more

Best Italian restaurant that I have been to in awhile. Fastest place that the wife and I have eaten at since our time over here which has been a week so far. I had the tortelloni which was amazing. Ate all of it including 4 pieces of the garlic bread appetizer which was made over the stone fire. Topped it off with some strawberry sorbet, honey, sea salt coconut mascarpone, and vanilla gelato. The starters are a little dull but well executed, the Pizzas are exactly what they should be (perhaps a little short of meat but Hey! thats a very individual take on them) HOWEVER the pasta is FIRST class. The Carbonara is better than MINE dammit and almost as good as my mothers . . . Wine is as expected, as is the beer, coffee is good. The service is always good and the prices are fair. Not a bad addition to Earl's Court, which is (oddly) a bit short of pizza places. The interior is one large room, which makes for noisiness, but the staff seemed easer to please and, despite being busy, we were served quite quickly. The food was fine, but prices seemed a little steep for what you get: my pasta tasted nice but nearly £10 for a main course at a chain is pushing it, I feel. Also bread comes in at £3 for a fancy basket (proper Italian restaurants provide this for free). As dmj1962 says, the management of their disabled loo really misses the point: they shouldn't stack all sorts of things in the way, as it's not just wheel-chair users who use disabled loos: people with less obvious needs may wish to do so, and don't need to navigate past stored furniture. And no loo paper really is unforgiveable. So, overall three stars. read more

If you have been to one then its the same formula but I brand I think you can relay on This branch of Zizi in Earls court is located on the earls court road high street just along from the tube station up the road. It's one of the smaller ones that that I have been to, and as a result when it gets busy at peak times you might have to wait for space like at the weekend or a Friday night. read more

The worst pasta we have ever had, absolutely awful. The beef and veal tagliatelle was so over cooked it was inedible, and the crab cannelloni was burnt black and covered up with garish to hide. We stayed in Earl's Court area while in London for 10 days. We ate here 3x's during our 10 day stay. The food and service were fabulous every time. We were fortunate to get May, a server, every time and she was absolutely delightful and very attentive. After our 3rd meal and it was time to leave, we felt like we were leaving an old friend. Zizzi is fortunate to have May as an employee and we will return here, and hopefully see May again, whenever we return to London. So - you can't go wrong with Zizzi and ask for May! read more

Fail. I get that this is a major chain and they don't have to try to be anything half as good as ...someone with a restaurant that cares, but come ON! I was going back to my hotel after a long day and all I wanted was to grab something and stay in on this cold Monday night. I ordered the braised beef and venison ragout pasta thinking there would be some meat to chew on. Nope! It was all pasta with sauce you could just suck off the pasta pieces, no meat. CONGRATS to Zizzi for deciding that adding mushrooms to a dish would fake people out, but some of us know the difference. I cater for my company and I know the tricks, when restaurants add huge chunks of mushrooms to a meat dish it's because they are going out of business and are cutting corners hoping no one notices. I took a picture, on the right is all the pasta that I sucked the sauce off of hoping for meat juice, on the left is what is left, it's mushrooms. I paid 15 pounds for a fist full of pasta and mushrooms...then I gave the server 3 pounds as a thank you...for take away. Again, FAIL read more

We ordered two main dishes -a large pizza with goat cheese & vege- & the other was spaghetti with meat balls, which i think they are very basic italian dishes, & when we tasted them, their flavour is really below standards & very disappointing. I'd give this 3 1/2 stars overall. Dined here tonight and on 6/24, both times food was very good. Husband loves the margherita pizza but has found it inconsistent depending on who's behind the oven. I've gotten the skinny pollo roquito(?) twice, which I thoroughly enjoyed and would call it my go to entree. Ordered some puffy bread for appetizers which came with 2 sauces- yumo! Will try some of their other appetizers next time. Desserts are ok. Tried coming here 2 other times when it was busy and was ignored so left. read more
