My friend brought us to this place on a cold winter night at the beginning of the year. The…read morerestaurant is fairly small and it took a while to find a suitable space for a party of 6. Finally we got seated next to the door - not an ideal place on a cold night. To beat the consistent draft brought in by new customer's and people collecting their take away pizzas we started off with ordering 2 bottle so wine. We went for some Italian wine - accordingly to the occasion, but were slightly disappointed with the first red bottle, the house selection. After multiple attempts we all agreed that the only really good bottle of wine was also the most expensive one (which is not always the case, as all of you wine lovers know. Price is hardly never the right indicator for a good bottle of wine...). To not burst the bank at the beginning of the evening I went for the cheapest option of starters - a couple of oven baked pizza dough balls for a steep 4.95 EUR. They were served with Garlic Butter. The dough balls were soft and steamy and topped with Garlic Butter not the worst choice after all, but yet a bit disappointing considering the price (most Italian Restaurants serve decent garlic bread for half the price). As main course I went for the Risotto - I love a good Risotto - and this one was ok, but would not be on the top of my fav Risottos of all times. My BF went for the steak and that was delicious. Cooked deliciously medium rare, bloody in the middle and served with crispy fries. The expensive bottle of red went very well with the steak. The portions were big enough and you did not feel cheated, the food was overall quiet good, but yet Im not sure if I would go back for seconds.

After my first visit on Sunday night, I'm already looking forward to going again in the near future. I was joined by a close friend and was met by a friendly staff member of staff at the door, a theme which continued during the night with an outstanding team of staff. We started off with some house fries and mozzarella in carrozza, fries where perfect cooked, lovely and light with a nice crisp and then mozzarella in carrozza was delisious easily one of my favourite bites to eat in any restaurant and Prezzo did a stand up job delivering a personal favourite. After a great starter we where just thinking of getting a simple Margherita but we took the suggestion of are waiter and went with a Queen Margherita instead which is split into 3 sections (Sun blushed and cherry tomatoes, spinach and pesto dressed rocket, bechamel sauce and buffalo mozzarella) an excellent choice and one I'd love to get again. Finished it all off with a beautiful Chocolate fudge cake with a side of vanilla ice cream and every bite was perfect, it rounded off a great experience overall. It gets a full five stars and I hope it keeps up the outstanding work.

The inside is beautiful- open, airy, lovely gray and white and mirrors inside making the place feel bigger yet still comfortable. I loved being able to see the pizza oven (my daughter thought it was so cool that her dinner was in there cooking) I was starving when we arrived, and everything sounded delish! I got the truffle ravioli as a starter and spaghetti for a main. They were both so tasty! Big portions, speedy service, and amazing flavor! The kids meal was so big, and also super tasty, my daughter loved it. Our server was really nice and helpful and answered all our questions. It's not cheap, but it's great portions, great quality, and definitely worth it!

I've eaten in a few other branches in the city centre (three of them) before and this branch is pretty much the exact same. I ordered the superfood salad and my friend had a pizza, both of which costed €13.95 which isn't too bad considering the big portions. Having the choice of thick or thin base and customisation for pizzas, as well as gluten free options is a plus. I liked the superfood salad a lot and it had a lot of interesting combinations such as quinoa, chickpeas, mung beans, edamame and a variety of veg. They also have pasta, calzone, risotto, lasagne etc. The restaurant itself is very big with a lot of seats and a nice atmosphere, great for a special occasion. I've come to Milano for many birthday parties over the years and often see others doing the same. They are child friendly with plenty of kids options, a good selection of desserts and free wifi (you can log in via Facebook or email). The downsides were that although the staff were friendly, they were not very attentive. I asked for the bill which never came, so I had to ask a different waitress which was kind of annoying. I found it quite hard to attract the waiters attention in general, but the restaurant is pretty big so it is probably understandable. But otherwise, they were pretty efficient in that after ordering things came pretty fast. The food in around 15 minutes and I got my tea in only a few minutes after ordering it. Overall: Food: 3/5 Service: 3.5/5 Price: Reasonable (~€15 per person for one main) Variety: 5/5 Seating/atmosphere: 5/5 Wifi: Free

I always find with Milano's that the only really decent thing on offer is their pizzas so anytime I've ordered anything else from the menu I always come away disappointed. I asked for mozzarella instead of goat's cheese on my chicken salad and sure enough, when it arrived, adorned with the aforementioned nasty stuff I was quizzed by my waiter if I was sure the offending item was goat's cheese as it looks the same as mozzarella. The fact that I'd nearly choked upon tasting it (I really dislike goat's cheese and this one was particularly overpowering!) didn't seem to be proof enough for him so he said he'd take it away to check with the chef. Sure enough he brought me a fresh one with mozzarella and sure enough he was very nice about the whole thing afterwards, but it was still more than a bit annoying, especially after waiting more than half an hour for the salad to arrive in the first place! Stick with the pizza, expect to wait a while for your food and for the service to be a bit erratic and you'll get on grand in Milano's - deviate from this and expect to come away a bit miffed by the whole experience.
