I remembered previously ordering a Chicken Shawarma Plate. That is now in the "Specialties" section of the menu and that's what I ordered expecting to get the same plate of delicious chicken, rice, salad and hummus. I was shocked that this $20 "Specialty" consisted of a dry chicken wrap, french fries, some sort of yogurt dip and AWFUL, salty pickled vegetables. The fries were good but you don't go to a specialty Mediterranean place to get fries with a meal described as a plate. Apparently, you can no longer get a true plate of chicken shawarma with rice here. I do plan to return again some day and try the Kofta Kebab or Mixed Grill Plate from the "Entree" section since these still come with rice but everyone should be avoiding the "Specialties" plates as these are poorly executed and severely overpriced. Regardless of what you are ordering, I would highly recommend calling in your order to confirm exactly what you are going to get with your order since the online menus have no details whatsoever.

The staff was courteous, professional, and friendly - this place seems to be well managed and have a good understanding of what it means to be in the hospitality industry! Our starter salads, while not large and somewhat basic, were presented nicely in modern bowls and consisted of fresh, delicate greens, a few cucumber slices and cherry tomatoes. The entrees we selected from were okay. Unfortunately, all steaks for this event were served medium, and I found mine to be less tender than my desired medium rare. Surprisingly, the naturally sweet asparagus...my first of the season...was perfect and somehow managed to upstage buttery smooth mashed potatoes and beef! Similarly, the thick toothy al dente fettuccini was the highlight of the chicken parmesan entrees, as the house-made chicken parm couldn't stand up to the chicken parm my wife makes in our house.

They decorated the room themselves, and the food and drinks were delicious, and they were so very attentive the entire evening. They could have rushed us to make room for more patrons on what I'm sure must be a highly sought after night, but we never once felt rushed and they made us feel so special and welcomed! Other patrons, who I suspect were friends of the restaurant, invited us to celebrate and dance with them! We've eaten at The Cellar before and loved it, and tonight just sealed the deal for us. It came with salad and fries. It was a lot of food. The salad is great just a perfect Greek salad. The fries were hot and crisp. The gyro with extra tzatziki was so amazing. Soft flat bread, fresh veggies, spiced meat, cheese and sauce. The sauce melted into it making it just a delicious bite. I will absolutely be back.

While it is a little pricey, I don't feel too bad about paying for great quality food in such a nice location. It definitely has that "casual upscale" vibe, in a good way. They have a good rewards program which I'm always a sucker for. Also, they have a handful of fun dessert & cold entree options that I definitely plan to try when I return.
