This was in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic with as yet no available vaccines. Yet this was the only gas station that I remember in which all of the employees were "masked up." I'm speaking only for "Holiday Stationstore #470" at 1212 Mullowney Lane in Billings MT. I cannot speak for the rest of the stores in this chain. I was impressed that this gas station/convenience store seemed to go against the red state red tide anti-masking culture. And of course I always wore a mask when out in public in October 2020. Also, the price for regular gas was only $2.189 per gallon on October 2, 2020. No such luck with that low of a gas price in Washington! Yes, I know. I am sometimes slow at getting around to doing my Yelp reviews.

This morning as I was getting a coffee, Christopher popped over to do a little cleaning at the machine next to me and I say, "Making messes this morning?" Christopher apparently did like the comment at all stopped wiping up the mess looks at me and says, "Excuse me!!" and had more to say, as if I was listening at that point after he handed me back such rudeness!! Wow! We've been at two of the fancy hotels very near this holiday station, and none of them served…read morecoffee that was worth a damn. Seriously terrible coffee, even with breakfast. So out of desperation, my wife and I decided that I would run down to the holiday gas station in the hopes that their coffee might be decent, as many gas stations have Luke warm and barely mediocre coffee as well. I was so incredibly surprised that they had multiple types of fresh whole bean coffee where they grind the beans immediately when you make the cup and it was so good. Just about as good as premium coffee joints, like Starbucks, and even better than city brew. What an incredible and pleasant surprise. It's just too bad that even when you pay $360 for the top suite at Homewood suites, their coffee is disgusting and terrible. Bravo to holiday for having such an incredible coffee, selection of fresh beans for immediate grinding and enjoying. I didn't have time to look at all the other great selection of stuff they had there but I am feeling that it's probably pretty good.
