Matt and Pookie were amazing and very fun and professional hosts. The zip lining was fun and easy, and I felt very safe.

Thank you to Matt and Gio! I'm afraid of heights but they made us feel comfortable and we had a blast!

After taking a boat tour with nearby Cajun Pride, we popped over to Zip NOLA and booked a 3:30 tour. It's just under $100 per person, but worth the 45-60 minutes of fun. Cheyann and Joel were excellent guides- fun, easy going, knowledgeable. Their confidence rubs off on their guests. The course itself is entirely over one of the country's most haunted swamps. (They'll tell you the story why on the tour.) There are five runs and the guides teach you a trick on each one, including a trust fall and going upside down. Each platform is very safe and there's water on two of them. The main center has a baby alligator, clean restrooms, and outlets to recharge your phone.

10/10 amazing experience! Our guides were great! (I think their names were Gio and Joel) Really fun! They were very encouraging and did not rush us. They made us feel very comfortable. I was super nervous for the first jump and then after that, it got easier and easier. The group that we were with were also super nice and everyone really clapped for one another. If you have the opportunity to go, you will have the best time ever. I can't wait to come back when I'm in New Orleans again.

Super fun way to hang out in a swamp. Great staff and overall great experience even for someone who is afraid of heights. Felt safe, informed, and comfortable throughout.

Jenna and Cheyenne are the best guides. It was our first time and they were extremely supportive. Got to the point where we were comfortable enough to do some tricks on the zip line. Definitely recommend this activity for all ages!

Great adventure! Wonderful and kind guides. Very safe and the kids greatly enjoyed the experience

Had a great time. The staff is the coolest they are my 2nd cousins now. They also teach you tricks.

We had a great time! The guides were knowledgeable, kind, and patient. We loved every minute. Only downside was that it ended too soon!

What a fun experience! Came through with a few friends while visiting New Orleans for a Sunday fun day. For $89 a person you get to do 4 zip lines around the swamps, with two guides and a group of folks. At the end you even get to feed some of the alligators, Richard and Queen. The staff runs like a well oiled machine, quick, efficient and friendly. What I loved is I saw a sign that these gators were recused from euthanasia and kept in a natural habitat. The only trouble we had was finding a way out there with no rental car. We were lucky our Uber driver waited for us and took us back to the city. Definitely a fun experience zipping over the gators! Would recommend as a family fun activity.

The ship itself is not the biggest I've been on but it is quite antiquated and that alone is a downside for me. Considering that I've become accustomed to the nicer and more luxurious ships, this one definitely failed to deliver. The service of course, was impeccable and the staff is by far very sweet and caring, considering the fact that they cater to everyone and are very efficient in their job duties, some though have to be taught manners but not enough of them could make my review less than. Although for the most part I did enjoy the cruise, I don't think I can come back due to its antiquated look. I like to be in updated surroundings when it comes to vacation. But of course this was not the worst of the worst. For the price it really wasn't bad of course, so go ahead and try them out.

And I say this having been on 2 other cruises, so I'm not a total newbie! The food was great; significantly better than my other two experiences and the formal dining meals were excellent. Plus, you can order more than one entree, so if you don't like your food, get something else! I think the cruise was pretty full, but it sure didn't feel that way. It was not overly crowded, and there was a wide variety of travelers on board. We made friends with some other couples our age, so it wasn't a total retiree fest (cough... take note Holland America!). Not hating on our seniors, we made some friends with them too, but it's nice to have a variety of people is all. :) There weren't too many kids either, so it was a win win all around. And if they were a bit crazy and we needed a break, they offer a Serenity Deck for adults only on the back of the ship! Two hot tubs and peace and quiet? Yes and yes. We stopped in Cozumel and Progresso, Mexico and had a lovely time there as well. I HIGHLY recommend the salsa & salsa excursion, (make salsa and dance salsa) and our 5 day long vacation was the perfect amount of time. Plus, if you have a couple extra days, stay in New Orleans and see the sights! It leaves right outside the city in the port of New Orleans. Overall, great experience, and I would highly recommend you try it out!

I booked an extended Manchac Swamp kayak tour during a visit to New Orleans in late February,…read morewanting to see the swamp and its wildlife in a more personal and eco-friendly way than the more popular airboat and alligator-feeding tours. My partner and I have some experience paddling and wanted plenty of time to see wildlife and get deep in the swamp for the best scenery, and for us the extended tour was the right choice! I'd recommend it to visitors to New Orleans who love nature, the outdoors, and/or getting a fun and unique workout in during vacation. We were on the water for about 4 hours. Sunscreen, sunglasses, shoes you don't mind getting wet, and PLENTY of water are a must! There are stops at a truck stop right before and after for the bathroom and buying any drinks/snacks, plus a stop on dry land during the tour. Our guide Nick was clearly dedicated to both paddling and nature even outside of work, and our tour felt less like a scripted performance as some tours can be and more like a buddy was showing and telling you things he was passionate about. We saw several small alligators, barred owls, hawks, turtles, and water birds. It was unseasonably warm so the reptiles were a treat to see, and it was awesome getting to see owls out in daylight which I'd never be able to pick out myself. Bring binoculars if you have them! My only small complaint, which has nothing to do with the tour itself: the AI-generated content on the company's Instagram page is kind of weird. Photos and videos from actual tours would be more honest and enticing!

But we did have but one get one, so wasn't that upset. The tour was great. We saw some interesting, haunted places and heard the history behind them. We didn't linger too long at any one place. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and funny, although he may have been a tad bit too heavy on the Catholic Church jokes. The tour ended at the LaLaurie house, and our guide shared a story about a little girl on who was recently on his tour who started crying and asked why there were dead people on the balcony. Spooky! I was so intrigued by what he said that I started looking up stories about Delphine LaLaurie and the haunting of the house. When I got home, I even started watching season 3 of American Horror Story, which has the character Delphine LaLaurie (accurate? No. Fun? Yes!). This was a fun way to spend the evening. There was an obnoxiously drunk guy on our tour, and our guide handled him well.

The other small group got to hold a baby but our driver said best not to upset the protective mom. He told us that out of 200 babies only a small percentage will survive. He gave us a better show: did you know raccoons and gators like to eat marshmallows? He even fed the raccoon with its outstretched paws and told the huge gator to give him a kiss. The gator opened its mouth twice with sharp teeth and let him put his face there. He even pet it on its head. Couple more gators came swimming fighting for their share of marshmallow. He told us they could fight to their death. Never tipped anyone a Ben Franklin before but our tour driver earned it.

The guided tour does a strong job of bringing the property's past to life. Set among towering oak trees and Spanish moss, the plantation itself is visually stunning, and the home's preserved interiors give an authentic glimpse into 18th- and 19th-century Louisiana life. Rainy Day our knowledgeable and engaging tour guide, was mixing well-documented history with the plantation's well-known ghost stories in a way that feels balanced rather than over-the-top. That said, expectations matter. If you're hoping for a purely historical deep dive, some of the supernatural elements may feel a bit dramatized. On the flip side, if you're looking for a full-on haunted experience, it's more subtle than theatrical. Overall, The Myrtles Plantation tour is a worthwhile stop for anyone traveling through Louisiana. The tour itself is about 2-3 hours long and involves a fair amount of walking, so I definitely recommend wearing comfortable shoes. One tip: if you're planning to visit and don't have your own vehicle, make sure to purchase the ticket option that includes transportation. It will make things much easier. Also keep in mind that there aren't many food options nearby. Unless you're planning to walk quite a distance, it's a good idea to eat beforehand or plan your meal for after the tour. I do recommend driving your own car, because the drive was absolutely scenic. A lot of green and we got to see all the beautiful houses built on stilts on the way.
