If this will be the same for the following year, I don't think I would take the kids there.

This event goes on for a little over 2 weeks but after my first time attending, I can see how packed this place gets on a weekend. If you can attend during a weekday then I highly recommend it. A few of the activities you can enjoy with your ticket purchase are the carnival rides, ice skating rink, sledding, faux snowball arena, gingerbread house, maze, and so much more. I really enjoyed the carnival rides since they have a few that are attractive for teenagers and adults. The carousel is also a great one for social media. For those of us who like to have a drink while enjoying any activities aka me, then rest assured you can purchase alcohol including beer, wine, and specialty cocktails. The Christmas tree area is really photogenic and I love the feel-good vibes you get. As tempted as you might be to try one of the gingerbread houses don't but they're super cool to explore! They even have a local vendor area to support local artisans. NOLA ChristmasFest is a great family friendly activity and hopefully y'all have a chance to explore.

Overall this is a really nifty spot and a super deep cover locals secret spot!

If you want to have a kids birthday party or just want the kids to burn off some of that energy take them to The Bounce Around. It is super cheap ($6/hr) and they have lots of inflatables for them to jump and run around in. They also have an air hockey game and basketball game. Tables in a back room are available if you book a party package. Like I said come here for your own sanity if you want to have a stress-free birthday party. You will rarely ever see a crowd in here. Heck I've been to this mall numerous times and have hardly seen anyone at all in here. You have the place practically to yourself. There are no running signs posted throughout. Socks are required. You can buy a pair for $1 if kiddos aren't wearing socks when they come. They also sell snacks and drinks at the counter. The staff isn't the most attentive as we had to find the girl working because she was off sitting around on her phone.

How freaking cool is that to have a place like this inside a mall??? It's so Amazeballs !!!!! My son Jumped arpund so much that he actually got tired. There's also this cool air ball machine that allows you to insert a ball into a tube air machine and it spits the ball out at the direction to which you point it. It's so Fun! Me and My son was having so much fun here. The kids were running around and the parents were in the seats just watching their babies burn off all the calories and energy they consume while shopping. Lol! Just so awesome. There are long inflatables, then there's short ones, ones with balls, and even ones without! Overall Every Kid should come here. It's like Heaven for Parents because after shopping you get to sit down and watch your child run and jump all over the place! Everyone Wins at the End!

It's not really worth going across the river just for this park. I may have missed that…read more"something" and would love if somebody would send me a note and tell me otherwise, but there isn't anything in this area to do. I did see a couple of coffee shops on my way to this park, but other than that I don't see hordes of people coming over here to this area. I would say you are better off not coming across the river and just go to the 3rd floor of the Riverwalk Mall and let your children play in the indoor play area. There is a nice food court and bathrooms really close by. Based on the previous reviews, and google searches of "things to do with kids in NOLA" I had high expectations of this park. What I saw when I arrived was a junk yard of misfit toys and beat up playground equipment. I know I'm being very critical of a playground for kids, but this is a poor excuse of a playground. In order to get here you need to purchase a ticket for the Ferry. The ferry leaves every 30 minutes and only costs a few bucks. The ride takes about 5 minutes to get across the river. Then it's about a 15 min walk to the park. I wouldn't say the area is unsafe, but I would suggest staying on the main roads if possible. The playground located on a street corner in the middle of a neighborhood. The playground is fenced in which I thought was nice. There were lots of toys inside, some of which were broken. The toys seemed to have been dropped by locals who just didn't want them anymore. There were a few swings, and a play set with a slide. There was also a rather large mulched area where kids can just run around. I will warn you, if it has rained recently then the playground is rather muddy. Over all it was a nice time for my little one to run around outdoors, in an enclosed area. Bathrooms - These seem to be few and far between in this town. The day was saved when I found out there was a coffee shop next door called "One Stone" that had a kid friendly bathroom. There was a really nice changing table in there with spare diapers and wipes. Had it not been for this saving grace we might have left just as soon as we arrived. **Be sure to read my review of "One Stone" as its worth visiting if you come over here for the park. Would I come back? Maybe. "One Stone" was pretty cool, but there are so many closer and better things on the other side of the river that there just isn't much of a draw to come back over here.

It seems like they offer a lot of activities for all ages, and even a pretty large pool out back. It's apparently able to be rented out since the 3 events I've been to in the last year have all been private dancing events. I've been twice for a ballroom dance competition for kids called the Mindsteppers competition as well as a dance recital. There's plenty of parking nearby since where the neutral ground would normally be, they've created angled parking spots.
