I have tried an escape room out in Davenport, Iowa and it wasn't as good as this one was. I am originally from Louisiana and currently live in Illinois, and for the last few years, I have been trying to visit in July to see friends and family. I brought different friends, and we came down to the area with a local. We did the game museum room and it was marvelous! I am so glad that this room was as good as it was because with my previously mentioned first experience I thought I was going to be thrown off of escape rooms forever. My one friend who had never been to an escape room before said he didn't think he would have fun but he had a lot more than he thought he would. Our group was glad that it wasn't like one of those escape rooms where you find random keys and have to figure out where everything was, we liked how interactive and involving the whole room was, I was surprised we managed to escape with a little under 3 minutes left. The puzzles and interactiveness was super nice, a bit challenging because we couldn't remember how to play simple board games because it had been a few years for some of them. I sadly forgot the name of our helper her name was Amanda or Amber, (maybe I'm wrong but I remember it starting with an A and we were there on July 13th around 3pm) Next time I come down to visit, I will have to definitely set up an appointment for a different room!

Came here with family members for the first time randomly for my birthday and I did not regret it one bit. Our game master Jenna was spot on helpful and informative on what was expected for the escape room. It takes a lot of brain power and team work to solve these complex puzzles. With 20 seconds left, we managed to get out the room just in time. It was exhilarating and we would definitely come back here to try all the other rooms they have available. Thank you guys very much for the awesome memories!

This place is awesome! Our game person was very knowledgeable and friendly. Our escape room was the game museum. It was set up just like that. You won't get any hints from me! ;) This room consisted of various twists and turns. Lots of excitement and fun was had by all! Clue Carre can be hard to find in the dark of night. My friend kept passing it up. I suggest you use a GPS app. When the app says, "you're here", you literally are! There is parking in the front as well as the back of the building. It's limited though. I suggest you arrive a little early to find a spot. If you escape like we did, you have the option to purchase a t-shirt. They will also take your group's picture and post on their Facebook page. So cool!

Having done nearly 200 escape rooms, Clue Carre gets a heavy recommendation from me and my team from California. The staff were nothing short of lovely (Nikki especially) and the games were very fun! They had great sets and great puzzles. Absolutely worth the trip.

Although they may not be as high tech or show-ready as some of their competitors, they were a great experience and we had a lot of fun!

Had a real fun time with our large work group out for a fun team exercise. Our game master Kam was awesome! We enjoyed the challenge.

They refunded the money and restated that they are following the mandate. I agree they do enforce the mandate passionately.

We chose the Game Museum and the way they incorporated the games into the clues was super fun and kept our attention.

The storyline was excellent and from start to finish, the building was immersive. Props and decor were top-notch and plentiful. I really appreciate that the clues had difficulty without being too much of a stretch to be realistic or discoverable. There were red herring props to trip you up or waste time. The game master was helpful when needed but he didn't overstep when we were on the cusp of a discovery. This is definitely THE BEST escape room I've ever done! I would highly recommend it and next time I'm in NOLA I'm coming back to do another. Bonus points that the escape room is adjacent to a brewery and we enjoyed some nice pints and live music after.

Seriously SO immersive. Ok so there were 4 of us & we did the Inventor's Attic. GREAT room & pretty challenging even for seasoned Escape Room enthusiasts like us. If I ever find myself visiting NoLa again, I'll definitely want to try one of their other rooms.

Extremely high production value (which will cost you) and the scariest room we've ever done…read more We only did 3 of the 5 Mystere Escape Rooms because we are not yet exploring the realm of live zombie rooms and we were told their Ghost Lab is simply too difficult for two people. Of course now we want to go back to the Ghost Lab just to see how we do. This place has by far the highest production value we have ever seen but it will cost you - rooms are $39.95 plus tax (lower for LA residents). We have to talk about The Serial Killer's Lair at length because it's clearly a major draw for this facility. Based on the Saw movie series, this was a must-do for me, a mega Saw fan. For the Saw fans - you are going to love some aspects and... be less than enthused by others. You know how Jigsaw finds imitation somewhat... distasteful? You may too when faced with pop-out scare tactics that are beneath the psychological thrills which made you a Saw fan in the first place. Probably the most frustrating aspect of these haunted house gimmicks was that they were COMPLETELY unnecessary as there are plenty of very authentic aspects which are scary as hell without random loud noises. But we digress. For any thrill seeker who also happens to enjoy Escape Rooms, this is the room for you. As usual, we do all rooms with just the two of us. We did not escape the Serial Killer Lair and thought we weren't even close, but it turns out we were on the final task. We were definitely derailed by a LOT of fear. In other words, this room is doable for two people (even though it advertises as a 4-12 player room) but also lends itself to a large group. The room isn't actually that hard if you are a fearless beast with night vision. Items of note: You are VERY much in the dark the entire time, so take that into account if you have vision impairment. Also, this room is NOT kid friendly, nor should anyone with a heart condition participate. If you can't handle a haunted house, you CAN'T handle this room. We thought of bailing several times but were proud that we stuck with it and overcame some fears, so there's that. After getting the ever living bejeezus scared out of us, we did Treasure Hunt and The Game Room (roughly based on Indiana Jones). We were successful in the Treasure Hunt and unsuccessful (though barely!) in the Game Room. Both are doable with two people but Treasure Hunt is the best room for smaller groups. Recommend a bigger group for Game Room unless you are experienced. Once again - insanely high production value on both rooms. Treasure Hunt may pose some issues for a claustrophobic person. Both are very family friendly. The staff (JC, David, and Johnny) was very friendly and flexible to our desired schedule and desired group size (always remember that this may not be the case if they are busy). Puzzle design is mostly solid, though weakest in the Serial Killer Lair. Regardless, the Serial Killer Lair was an unforgettable experience we will be talking about for a long time, and we recommend that you visit this facility to try one or more of their rooms. The Escape Couple Note: If you visit our site, you will see that we gave Mystere 4 stars, This is based on our national scale - Mystere definitely qualifies as a 5-star facility in NOLA.

Came here with a group of 6-7 friends and did the zombie embalming room. I was so scared but so entertained!! We "died" but I didn't care. I plan to do each of the other rooms they offer.
