I posted a review for their downtown location a while back, but I'll post one for this location too since I just went to do the Game Museum room there. Clue Carré is the best option for escape rooms in the New Orleans area! I've done 5 rooms with them and each one was SO much fun!!! It's a bit cheaper than other companies, they have many room options, the employees are always friendly and helpful, plus your game is private. The rooms are about $35 per person, so it's less expensive than other companies. They have 8 rooms across their different locations. I've enjoyed 5 of them so far and each one was cleverly and fantastically set-up, staffed with friendly employees. The great thing about this company is that each room is a private experience. If you book the room during one of the time slots for any number of players (even just yourself), the room becomes closed to other people. You can show up and bring more people than you booked for (just pay for extra players when you get there), but no one outside of your party will join you. You don't have to worry about random uncooperative strangers playing the game with you when you get there! I highly recommend Clue Carré! The ambiance, the clues, the mechanisms are always on-theme and on-point. Some of the tasks we've had to accomplish weren't all easy, and we always have to ask for a few hints, but the challenge is part of the fun! There are usually a lot of tasks to accomplish within an hour, so it's meant for more than two people, but we typically get very close to the end with just my boyfriend and I even if we don't finish. Everything is all really well thought out! The only thing about this company that I don't love is that they don't give you a few extra minutes to complete the room even when you're SO close. At another company, they gave us a few extra minutes when they knew we were close, and they gave us a little bit of leniency because they knew we had only 2 people as opposed to their recommended 4-5. These games can be hard to complete with less people because you can't divide and conquer as much. BUT, I think their policy here is to not give time extensions because they rank their room difficulty levels by success rates. (If they gave too many people extensions to complete the games, all of the success rates would become close to 100% and their ranking system wouldn't work.) Plus, they need time to reset the room for the next group too. I LOVE Clue Carré!!! I'm coming back to do the rest of their other rooms! read more

We did an escape room. And he was very rude. It is supposed to be fun. You are allowed to ask for clues which we did and he kept yelling at us to be quiet. He was working on May 31st at 6:00pm. When we didn't complete he walked in and said very angrily any question. Then he left. The first time we went we got extra time and we understood that there was other appointments but he let us in early so we would have had an opportunity for extra time. I don't recommend. read more

was highly disappointed with our experience. From the start, Bryce had a bad attitude. When we got into the room, he continued acting rude and unhelpful he wouldn't give us any clues, and when we asked about it, he said he had to "type it out," which I understand, but he was just wasting our time. After the game was over, he told us that our "attitude and sass" weren't needed, even though we were just laughing and having fun the whole time. Our game master was RUDE he did NOT help us and has an attitude with us the whole time. Told us to get our things and leave before he had to get someone to take us out the second we left the room. Had such a fun time playing the nostalgic Game Museum, with both linear and nonlinear elements, great for teams of 4 or more, and medium level difficulty. So much to do and so many cool callbacks. Just sit back and enjoy the journey! We also played the Sheriff's Office which had great teamwork elements, fun and unique puzzles, and so much variety. Medium level difficulty and good for teams of 4 or more. You may need more hinting if you're new to escape rooms but I'd pick this one if you're new. Shout out to Tori who was so accommodating and respectful of letting us just try things unless we asked for help. read more

We did the Sheriffs room. It is normally a 10 person room we're told but we did it with 4. We absolutely loved this room. It is definitely a team work room. Stay organized and work together. The staff here is so friendly. I would definitely go back and do another room sometime when we're in the area. read more

I have tried an escape room out in Davenport, Iowa and it wasn't as good as this one was. I am originally from Louisiana and currently live in Illinois, and for the last few years, I have been trying to visit in July to see friends and family. I brought different friends, and we came down to the area with a local. We did the game museum room and it was marvelous! I am so glad that this room was as good as it was because with my previously mentioned first experience I thought I was going to be thrown off of escape rooms forever. My one friend who had never been to an escape room before said he didn't think he would have fun but he had a lot more than he thought he would. Our group was glad that it wasn't like one of those escape rooms where you find random keys and have to figure out where everything was, we liked how interactive and involving the whole room was, I was surprised we managed to escape with a little under 3 minutes left. The puzzles and interactiveness was super nice, a bit challenging because we couldn't remember how to play simple board games because it had been a few years for some of them. I sadly forgot the name of our helper her name was Amanda or Amber, (maybe I'm wrong but I remember it starting with an A and we were there on July 13th around 3pm) Next time I come down to visit, I will have to definitely set up an appointment for a different room! read more

Came here with family members for the first time randomly for my birthday and I did not regret it one bit. Our game master Jenna was spot on helpful and informative on what was expected for the escape room. It takes a lot of brain power and team work to solve these complex puzzles. With 20 seconds left, we managed to get out the room just in time. It was exhilarating and we would definitely come back here to try all the other rooms they have available. This place is awesome! Our game person was very knowledgeable and friendly. Our escape room was the game museum. It was set up just like that. You won't get any hints from me! ;) This room consisted of various twists and turns. Lots of excitement and fun was had by all! Clue Carre can be hard to find in the dark of night. My friend kept passing it up. I suggest you use a GPS app. When the app says, "you're here", you literally are! There is parking in the front as well as the back of the building. It's limited though. I suggest you arrive a little early to find a spot. If you escape like we did, you have the option to purchase a t-shirt. They will also take your group's picture and post on their Facebook page. I always try to leave good reviews where credit is due and shout-out friendly workers and this place has definitely earned it! The fact that all games are private no matter the number of players and you don't have to pay an extra fee was a big factor in us choosing this escape room venue. The game was fun and enticing. We chose the Game Museum and the way they incorporated the games into the clues was super fun and kept our attention. Dallas was our game master and they were super thorough when explaining the process, we entered the game with no questions other than "where do we start?!" and eventually a hint popped up on the screen after we ran around trying to fiddle with anything and everything. We were also able to lock up any belongings we didn't want to bring in the room which was super convenient. We unfortunately were not able to complete the escape room but we had so much fun that we 100% intend on coming back to finish solving the puzzles and try out the other themes as well. Thank you Dallas (and sister, didn't catch her name I'm so sorry!) for an amazing experience on Valentine's day even though it was late on a holiday. Having done nearly 200 escape rooms, Clue Carre gets a heavy recommendation from me and my team from California. The staff were nothing short of lovely (Nikki especially) and the games were very fun! They had great sets and great puzzles. Absolutely worth the trip. read more

I loved that and we ESCAPED!! Shout out to Ivy who was the host of our room. He was perfectly timed on giving us any hints to help us progress. We had a party of four and selected the Sheriff's office!! We had a great time, it was our first escape room ever. Our game master Katie was awesome and so encouraging. We did the Game Museum with my 8 and 10 yr old boys. We have done a few game rooms before. This room was very challenging, but the puzzles were clever and satisfying. I have done a few escape rooms around town. The Sheriff's Office room at Clue Carré in Metairie is so different then the other ones I had done! You really had to rely on your team mates which made it that much better! The group I did the room with included 9 people. 5 adults and 4 children ranging in age from 9 to 15. It was definitely too complicated for the 9 year old but she still had a blast helping out with some of the more basic parts of the escape. We chose this room because the staff said it was the easiest of the 3 there and we wanted the kids to be able to help and participate. Can't wait to return and give The Game Museum a try! read more

Updating this rating after having done many more rooms (up to ~140 now). Overall, Game Museum was a fun game with a fun theme. The puzzles were solid, though a bit on the easy side from an enthusiast perspective. I'd give this room a 3/5, which means it's a reasonable game and worth playing despite not doing enough to distinguish itself compared to a standard escape room. This is enough to push an escape room company to 5/5 on Yelp in my book, since given the criteria for escape game ratings, lower scores tend to be reserved for flawed games. read more

I think that clue Carré has amazing escape rooms I have went three times the other two times it was amazing no complaints because our game master was amazing and I have also been to so many escape rooms so I have not had a complaint with any of them in any states but this last one I have done at clue Carré was a great escape room but the game master was a little harash and rude. At the end we were stuck on this one clue so the time ended so the game master came to explain the rest for us but while she was "explaining" she was raising her tone at my family members when our clue we were not getting it so she started yelling at us and then we got it so we went to the next one which is in a book so she was yelling at us to look at the book when nobody knew what she was talking about and then the last clue was when I got really frustrated with the game master and she/he was talking to us and acting like we were extreme idiots and then starts complaining about the group before us so I would recommend to come to this place just be wary and enjoy your time with your friends and family read more
