Nitesh did an amazing job in replacing a transmission other good mechanics wanted $3-5k. He did the job for half the lowest bid and secured an extended warranty on the transmission. It gets better. He did the work in only 3 days and had it ready on a Saturday. Nitesh also works on commercial vehicles and was fixing a beautiful custom bus when I visited for transmission replacement. His philosophy is wonderful; do good work for a reasonable price and let this serve as your advertising. I think many folks become repeat customers and I surely have. Nitesh is honest, works very hard and enjoys what he does...it shows. He won't attempt to fix anything not broken or overcharge, which has become commonplace these days. Even if you have a good mechanic already, you may find for transmission replacement, Nitesh gives you a better price and turnaround time. He's located across the street from the regional AAA towing office and has two separate service garages. His other staff are friendly and great mechanics. So today 4/11/23 I called Nitesh around 11 30 and asked him if he could replace my lamp and side lights . He said come in but they will be going to lunch at 12 -1 so I rushed down there about 11: 50. He looked at my car right away and started to work on it. He knew exactly what he was doing and after about 20 min he finished and everything was working great. He even worked into his lunch time just to finish me up. He DIDN'T EVEN CHARGE ME for his labor and the 3 bulbs of his own . I was referred to Zip In Auto by Jiffy Lube in Campbell. Honestly, I didn't know what to expect. I pulled into their parking lot with the car making a whistling noise out of the right passenger side rear tire. I had just spent three days on bumpy dirt roads on a horse ranch and thought for sure I had damaged the axle. Nitesh and his staff were very helpful in helping me identify my suspension issue on my Infiniti G37 coupe. What would have took all day at the dealer with outrageous diagnostics prices, Zip in Auto's rates and estimates were very fair and reasonable. It also helped that Nitesh was able to recommend a good coil over replacement for my car since my rear coil over shock had recently blown on me. Once I got my car back, I noticed that the car was sitting VERY low and was pretty much slammed to the ground. The car was scraping everywhere in San Jose once I started driving around for the next few hours. I brought the car back into the shop the next day (today) and Nitesh and his team not only provided me with a place to temporarily work remote in their office while they worked on my car, but Zip In Auto was able to readjust my coil over height and dampening settings in just under two hours. My car battery was draining overnight and we couldn't figure out why. It got to the point that jump starting my car wasn't even an option even though the battery was 6mo old. Called AAA to come and charge the battery and they passed on Zip In's card with an impressive almost unbelievable referral. Called right away to see if they could take my car even with it being so late in the day they accepted it. Nitesh figured out the problem in just a few hours the next day and even spent time explaining the issue and what would be some good next moves. No charge for the diagnostic was mind blowing to me even though it took a few hours to figure out, running tests and pulling apart the dash. In the end it was an internal radio issue he was not able to help me with and suggested I go to the dealer.....Which I did.... and they charged me $250 and took 2 full days to figure out the issue even though I told them what they would find. But you know dealers... always have to find it on their own -_- and they didn't even do what I asked them to do when they found the issue and tried to charge me more.... but that's a rant for another day. The owner gives me a price range which is fine so I asked for a specific price since I'm really shopping for the best deal. A couple Of shops responded with a fixed price for it already so I tried it with Zip In auto. Unfortunately the owner responds to me by telling me to go to the other shops instead. Very rude. Wanted to have an alignement done to my car yesterday, I took it to a mechanic that has high yelp rating. They charged me 45 for inspection first,, then they told me my car need $700 dollars repair, and it will take 5 hours. In short, I quickly search for another mechanics on yelp and found Zip-in which quoted me once before. Since they have time to look into my car, I quickly went there. The owners are very nice there. They immediately started checking my car. And told me that they can fix my camber bolt for free. And they said if the car still need an alignment after the bolt is fix,they could help me with me. Wow, they are willing to help me to fix problem for free ?! At the end, they explained what was the issue and bill me very reasonably. i was a happy customer leaving with my car fixed in an hour's time. I don't know they before and glad that I know them now. This is an unusual review because I actually didn't use any of this company's services. So another mechanic told me I needed to have both my front and rear brakes replaced at a cost of around $1100. I decided to shop around and zip in auto give me a great quote of closer to $900. When I took the car in they pulled off the tires and looked at the brakes and told me I didn't need the brakes worked on for either set of brakes. Basically they told me I didn't need to pay them! Their honesty is kind of shocking to me but obviously I'm very happy. So while I didn't actually hire them today I definitely will be going back because I trust them. read more

I called Nitesh's shop on a Saturday around 4pm to get an oil change as I was leaving work in Cupertino. It took 1hr and 45mins to get from Cupertino to his shop from Highway 85 because they closed down the freeway due to a police incident. To say that was frustrating is an understatement. It took me almost two hours to go roughly 6 miles. When I finally arrived, it was about 10 mins to close and I explained why it took so long to get there. ( I called around 4 to tell him I was coming in). Mind you, it's Saturday. Without hesitation, he said he would help me out. It's amazing how humanity works like that. Here is someone who works 7 days a week and late Saturday he decides to stay later to help me out. I was blown away by his kindness, hard work, and dedication to his customers. I typically have a difficult time reading mechanics because I don't speak car language, but Nitesh approaches his business by forming a trusting relationship with his customers. I value that immensely. After he changed my oil, he even checked a censor light in my car. It turned out to be a tire pressure thing (the spare tire!!) He filled that up as well. No shortcuts were taken. His willingness to help and go above and beyond to form a bond with me is huge reason I will go back. Just like the other reviews, I needed work done quickly, and Nitesh lived up to his reputation as a miracle worker. I needed my front left Mercedes-Benz headlight replaced, and on this model, the entire wheel has to be removed to access the bulbs. He responded to my query for a quote the next morning, and was able to complete the work before 11:30am! Nitesh is very forthcoming and honest about price and mechanical issues. My car's control arm bushing has some signs of wear and tear. He helped me checked it, bringed me to the car and showed me the issue, and gave me honest advices. Besides giving me a decent quote, he actually suggested me to fix it a year later instead of immediately, because it's still in decent shape. Ok, so everyone here is absolutely raving about this company, saying it's "top notch". Well, I'm very glad those people had those experiences; however, that was not the same experience for me. On Sunday, 8/8, the alternator in my '92 Ford Tempo died - it's an old car and these things happen. It's stressful, sure, but no biggie. I called AAA and the driver(I forget his name) extremely hyped this company up and towed my car there. The AAA driver advertised to me that they would get it done quickly, which made me agree that he should tow it there. To give you some background, I'm an RBT who goes to client's houses to teach session, so I desperately needed my car as a work requirement. They're closed Sundays - ok, fine. Monday(which I luckily had off from work because of jury duty that day) came along and I received a call from the owner of the establishment, and I respected that he had updated me that he received my car. He said he would get the alternator around 4 and that it would take about an hour to install - right before they close. Ok, fine. 4:15 comes along, and I call to see if the alternator had come in. Turns out they had ordered the wrong alternator, which meant that my car wouldn't be available until the next day, when the appropriate alternator came in from Reno. Well, I needed my car the next day for the sake of work. He told me the alternator would come the next morning. I call after my first session in the afternoon(I had to be given a ride to a nearby Trader Joe's for client confidentiality), and the alternator was still not in yet. Yes, I was frustrated, but what made me more frustrated was that the owner always seemed to mention that he would "update me" or "call me back", but he only called back 1/4 times he said he would call back. I had to call back for updates. And when I did call back, I was always rushed off the phone. I ended up getting my car back on 8/10 at 3:50 pm. In the end, the alternator was replaced, and the oil was topped off(he told me it was about a half quart low), and I got $50 off. However, it made me miss work and now I have to make up the time that I had missed with that client. Overall, it was a very frustrating experience due to the fact that they had my car for 3 days, I was stranded at my boyfriend's house the whole time, I was consistently waiting on updates on my car, and I had to miss work because I didn't have my car. Im sure everyone else has had great experiences; however my experience was pretty stressful. Update: there's a user on here who goes by the name "XoXo" who i believe is someone from this company who is sending messages out to those who leave "negative" reviews(even though I was trying to be solely objective for the most part), invalidating my negative experience. Look, "XoXo", if you're reading my review again - you might say that I'm "lucky to have gotten my car in 3 days", but was I lucky that I missed out on work? Waiting for my damn car to be finished and being told over and over again that the time it would be finished would be delayed? Time is money, and my time was wasted. Therefore, my money was wasted from not being able to attend work. XoXo - you, sir, have NO right to be telling me that I was lucky for the situation I was in. Thanks. read more

+5 for honesty. My Porsche Boxster's check engine light came on and I was in a hurry because the registration renewal deadline was only 10 days away. My OBD2 scanner showed a P1486 code. Nitesh ran some diagnostics on the car and assured me that it would pass smog although my scanner (BlueDriver) kept insisting that it won't. So he advised me to take it in for smog check and come back only after the check engine light came back on (I had reset the error code before I went to him - long story...). He did not charge me anything for the service since, he said, he couldn't do a full diagnostic until the code came back on. The error code may never come back (because I suspect it could have been due to the poorly seated coolant cap - thanks to my previous mechanic - which I had reseated earlier before resetting the code) but I will take the car back to them for regular maintenance regardless. read more
