I returned the item with no problem. I also browsed around and the store was very inviting. I am at the age where I will not put up with anything I do not love. Life is too short. So, about the item I had to return. There is one thing Free People does well and it is the boho tiered ruffle look. I purchased a tiered trapeze hoodie from Free People a few years ago that is absolute perfection: soft, forgiving and hides all bumps, youthful and cute. I had been watching the website for another color of this tiered trapeze hoodie that I liked, such as a deep wine red, but it never happened. However, the other day, I saw a mint green color tiered trapeze hoodie on Freepeople.com that was half off. Wow, that never happens. I ordered it immediately. Absolutely not the same as my beloved hoodie. It is now in a heavy sweatshirt material that is really annoyingly tight in the arms. And because of this heavy material, the trapeze literally looks like a tent. Not a good look. Please bring back the original and best, in a soft French terry,in both black and deep red!

I was also greeted upon entering. However, the customer service at the cash wrap sucked. I unfortunately was assisted by Kate who not only seemed like a liar but an airhead. Kate said she was unable to accept my returns because they were final sale. This was not noted when I placed my order and Kate admitted this flaw. She apologized and offered me a bag for the items that I attempted to return...which were already in a bag. Kate also suggested I instead return another "eligible" item from my order. This was a stupid suggestion bc if I wanted to return another item... I would've brought it with me to return. Airhead. Instead of a stand off I called Anthropologie's 800# and a rep was able to initiate my return by sending me a QR code and waving the return shipping cost ( yes Anthropologie is one of the few stores charging for return shipping). It was a waste of my time to go in store and my return be denied. What was accomplished over the phone should've been done in store. What was also troubling was that I was able to initiate a return online and generate a in store return slip, but Kate said she still wouldn't be able to accept my return. I'm not a big Anthropologie shopper...this situation although resolved does not make me keen on spending my money with them in the future. And... not to mention one of the items I wanted to return was listed as leather but it was cheap PVC...The audacity to not only mislabel the material but for it to originally be outrageously overpriced.

I first got introduced to the brand via Influenster when I was gifted with a pair of beautiful boots. We took a visit to the actual store however there was no AC that day and they used the portable coolers in the back and vent them into the fitting rooms through the door openings to keep the back room cool. I really like this crop top. One of the associates called in and got my size however I decided not to purchase it since there is no fitting room to try it on. The associate said I can buy it and try it on at home and I can always return it if I don't like it but I feel it was a bit of a hassle. Overall, I love the quality here and the service was excellent... however, I did wish the associate never blurted out that piece isn't online while it is.

On a more personal note, I visited Albertine three times before deciding to feature it on The Boutique of the Week, not because I was wary of the selection, but the price is higher than my norm. However, Albertine truly is too good to pass up and is the perfect place to splurge and treat yourself to an amazing piece (or two, or three...). The jewelry is the best feature of Albertine and will have you coming back just to drool over it. The exquisitely edited collection is priced from $100 to a steep $1,000+. The beautiful vintage pieces are displayed in glass cases, but touching and dressing up is encouraged. Delicate necklaces share a wall with leather cuffs, and pendants of owls and horns share a case with a silver snake ring and jade earrings. Prices can only be found out from a large binder where handwritten notes and photos document the inventory. The womenswear boasts up-and-coming designers and custom-made pieces that are feminine and vintage-inspired ranging from $150-600+. Flowy fabrics in all colors can be found in floor-length silk gowns and highly-structured bomber jackets. The cozy store normally only has one or two sizes displayed, but the staff is happy to find you the perfect fit in the back. A Victorian couch faces a large mirror for ample viewing, and you can even sometimes find the owner's dog napping as the eclectically chic staff offers spot-on critiques and styling tips.
