Brought my vehicle into Zimbrick Eastside in Fall 2024. Parts were back ordered with no timeline on when they would arrive. Long story short, after 4 months they decided that customer service is no longer. They decided I needed to turn in the loaner and either go without or pay for one OR use an aftermarket part so I can get the vehicle back in the foreseeable future. Really no choice, had to get the car and went with the aftermarket parts. Couple weeks later, job was done (or so they say). Showed up to pick up the car. Car was out back (reminder it was there for 4+months) and it hadnt been washed, the paper floormat and plastic seat covering still in the car, although doing nothing since they were scrunched up on the side. I was going ot march back in and demand a little customer care but decided to just go home and take care of it myself. Got home and opened the hood. I look to one side and there was a 4-5" toothed gear just sitting on the side under the hood. Then I looked and noticed they had broken the plastic shroud over the engine and this is what triggered my review today. They have just gone to shit over there. What a waste of time. Real market pricing huh? What does that mean? Let me tell you what it means: we will find the highest price the car sells for and then jack it up so we can then bring the price down to full retail to make it sound like we're good guys. They charge whatever they want for cars. The car I was looking at was priced $3500 higher than the nada blue book value. It was hilarious to listen to them try to justify the price. "Just try to find one like this"....well, I did. Two of them in Madison alone. They obviously feel that their customers are idiots and don't own computers. I'm sure NADA and KBB are a pain for the dealerships, but that's how it is in this age. Customers can find the real value of cars before even visiting the lot. Sorry guys...it's a new age and tour not gonna be able to screw people any more. Hope you got "top dollar" at the auction. Jeff...I wouldn't never deal with you again. Before we even purchased out Acadia AT4 our bad experience with Zimbrick East side started. We were in the market for a new Acadia AT4 in the fall of 2021. Zimbrick has one coming in on order that we liked after we had gone down there and test drove a similar model. We ended up putting money down on the new Acadia coming in and were never given a time of arrival (due to COVID which was understandable). We were just happy to have reserved one at this point, but the process quickly turned into some headaches and frustration as our Salesman was incredibly difficult to work with. Tom Smith would not return any of our calls or emails after he had made the sale with us. We had called multiple times with simple questions and would have our texts "read" with no response for days. After multiple runs in with no response I called the sales manager and expressed our concerns regarding the lack of communication and simple questions we had about the process of getting our Acadia. The Sales Manager listened and we felt like we had gotten somewhere with him until the end of the call when he said " so do you want the car or not?" Sure left a sour taste in our mouth, but we proceeded on as we were given a new sales rep and we hoped this was just "one bad apple." Jeff Schumann was by far one of the two best people we dealt with our entire experience. We were provided great service from him from the moment the hand over occurred through the purchase itself. We also dealt with Jeff Klade in the finance department who was great to work with, as well. No complaints there. While we were picking up our new car on a snowy Saturday in December, we were upsold on a protection plan from ECP called Auto Armor. At the time, it seemed to be a good investment on our newly purchased Acadia. The coating was applied before we even got to drive the Acadia for the first time. When we got home we noticed the AT4 badge on the rear deck lid was pretty crooked (issue #1) and there were a couple spots on the hood that seemed to be already peeling from the Auto Armor coat we had just put on in (issue #2). I texted Jeff and told him what we noticed and he told us to give the service department a call on the next Business Day as both of these issues at the time seemed like minor issues. We decided it was best to get these two issues fixed when we had our first oil change, as we do not plan to drive the car the entire winter and we lived an hour away. When I called to make the appointment (6-7 months after the purchase), I spoke to Coya Briggs and reminder her that the badge needed to be fixed along with the spots on the hood. Coya confirmed that we would have a badge and the spots would be addressed. My wife drove the hour drive to Zimbrick on our schedule appointment day to get the two issues resolved. Upon her arrival, the badge was not available as it had been "used on someone else" and the service representative that was supposed to look at the coating wasn't in. So, she suggested that we make another appointment and they would call when the badge was in. She stated that these two issues would take a couple hours to complete. Once we got the call that the badge was in we made an appointment for a couple weeks later as we were on a summer vacation when they called. My wife took the morning off of work for the appointment and brought the car down. Like stated before, we were told these issues would take a couple of hours so that was our expectation. The badge was put on without a hassle. Sadly, my wife was informed by Garret Esse that after further review the coating could be fixed, but it would be a couple day max job. This didn't work for us, as my wife was expected to continue to go back to work and how was she going to get home? They didn't have a loaner car available for her use, so I would have had to make arrangements to leave work to drive an hour to pick her up. Obviously, this was less than ideal, and a third appointment was needed to fix our coating issue. Garret handed my wife a business card on the way out with his number highlighted and said to call when we were ready to make the appointment to fix the hood. When we called Garett to make the appointment we were put on hold a couple times, had to be called back a couple times, and finally were transferred to Kyle Dodge who was by far one of the rudest people we worked with this entire time. I told him my frustrations and he stated "I didn't help you in the past so I can't fix what occurred in the past." At this point, I was floored by the service we had received and knew this final appointment would more than likely end in a nightmare and it did. Fast forward to the third appointment, they informed us they would need to look at the car again to see if they could fix it....even though they already told us at our second appointment that thy could. This is absolutely the worse dealer around. Tom our salesman was as useless as whatever very unprofessional. He never returned calls until it was time for us to come in and see the car. He didn't call us back in time and we lost some of the rebates that were being offer and he stated they could not back date 1 day (which is untrue). He told us things that were inappropriate to tell a customer, which could probably get him fired but I held my tongue. They stated they were going to buff out a scratch on the bumper, when we went in to sign the papers the bumper was not touched. We advised him of this, and we asked if he was going to do something. He stated no that they cleaned it. That was not the conversation with had with him on this issue. When it came to signing the papers and he was not doing anything about the issues, we told him we were out of here and walked out without the car. He deserves no commission from me. I had previously been going to Zimbrick east with no complaints - nothing was horrible but nothing was amazing either. Just your standard dealership that happened to lack personality but they got the job done. I recently went in for an oil change, tire rotation and asked them to check out my exhaust as it sounded a bit loud. An hour and a half later they come to get me from the waiting room and inform me that they weren't able to rotate my tires as the back two tires were stuck, they 'ran out of time,' but still charged me for the service. While this is frustrating, it's not the worst part of my experience. Soon after I was informed that my whole exhaust system was rusted, holey and in danger of falling off in 6 months or less. The fix? $2,000 worth of repairs to replace my whole deal. Shellshocked and amazed that my car could get that bad without warning, I went to a friendly local mechanic for a second opinion. What did they think? My doughnut gasket had started to disintegrate and I may need some new springs. The total cost of the fix? THIRTY DOLLARS ($30!) PLUS LABOR! I don't need to do the math for you. Zimbrick GMC East is a scam; someone must have a boat payment due soon. read more

I would absolutely not recommend. I bought my 2013 GMC Terrain from them and I couldn't regret it more. Took my car exclusively to them for service and maintenance. My car had a recall for oil consumption. I went thru all the proper avenues to make sure it was covered. Brought it to Zimbrick for the work to be done. During the test drive they blow up the engine in my car. They replaced it with a certified "reman engine" that they claimed had a 3 year 100,000 mile warrenty. I went on and felt happy with the resolution. Fast forward to December and i was looking to sell my car. I was about 10k miles post engine swap done at the dealership, and had no reason to suspect any issues. I had someone interested and took it to a local dealership to get it inspected. They were absolutely shocked by the condition of the oil in which I just had changed about 1k miles prior at Zimbrick. Zimbrick did not make any notes of any leaks or abnormalities at the time. I took the car back to get inspected and to resolve any issues on my fairly new engine swap. They looked it over my car and it leaks from the front main seal, valve cover, timing chain cover, and the camshaft actuators. In addition they suggested I have my PCV system replaced (which had been replaced about a year prior to this assessment for $500). I expected Zimbrick to cover some of the work since they had recently made an engine swap and I didnt have any of these issues before they messed up my motor. Well apparently there was no documentation of the swap in their system and the service writer and mechanic no longer worked there. So they claimed that nothing was their fault. Now at 10k miles post engine swap I am now stuck with over $2,000 in repairs. The dealership told be too bad so sad that they wouldn't cover any of the work and the so called warrenty covered $35. So now I'm stuck with a car that they messed up and have to pay over $2,000 to fix because it is unsafe to drive. The service manager told me there is no way they can stand by something after 10k miles, that's just too long. They were not helpful, keep sketchy documentation, don't treat women equally, and have extremely poor customer service. I would not recommend going there for anything ever. read more

This place is very professional. I have never bought a car there but I have used them consistently for my service since 2009. I have tried other places and have always been disappointed. All the service techs are very nice and knowledgeable especially Nate and Chris. The drivers Charlie, John, and Jim are awesome as well (I know, Charlie is retired, but he still was awesome.). They will drop you off wherever you want while your vehicle is getting work done on it and then pick you back up again. Mike is an awesome mechanic. He is the only one to have spent enough time to diagnose a brake problem that I had. Now I can finally get that fixed. Great job, Zimbrick! read more

Terrible place to do business! I would not recommend it. Complete waste of time. We had driven two hours there and back to checkout the vehicle we found online. The next day after finalizing our own financing, we returned to complete the deal and pickup the Jeep and they removed the soft top saying they never had it. Showed them it was in the listing and the picture from their website and they still denied ever having it. Still wanting to purchase the vehicle, we tried to negotiate the price of the top going 50/50 on the loss and we were told they were taking too much of a hit to work with us on that. Unprofessional Horrible Service. We have NEVER had problems with this car-it's been well taken care of and on time oil changes. Our car went in for it's timed tune up. We had a bunch done and we thought an inspection ($1000 worth). Well, over the next 5 days the car wouldn't start twice but my husband was able to get it started by fidgeting with the battery - he thought it was a missing nut from when the car was in at Buick Eastside. Finally, this a.m. it died. We called AAA who came and took it to their registered shop (not Buick Eastside). I had to uber to work while my husband took my car to the West side for work. The shop couldn't get to it until the afternoon at which time we called Buick to ask for a rental and for help rectifying the situation. I was transferred to our service rep from the original shop visit. He started aggressive and unhelpful. He must have said "there is nothing I can do" 10 times in our 3 minute convo. I asked if there was a loaner vehicle that Buick could offer us - he said "no, you have to book those a week in advance." Um, (1) we didn't PLAN for this to happen - especially since it was in your hands for hours only 5 days ago and (2) you are located on a car lot...find a car for us you MESSED UP! He basically refused to offer any apology or solution. We will NOT be bringing our car there for service. Nor will we purchase another Buick. Awful. After just purchasing a new vehicle from them you would think they would want to keep customers coming back. Do not let them touch your Diesel! Brought my 2014 3500HD in for an antifreeze consumption issue. Advised them that it seems the head gasket is blown as it is pushing antifreeze out of the overflow and it is bubbling up in the expansion side of the tank. After over two weeks they told me it was just a leaking overflow tank and replaced it. Not even 200 miles later the truck lost almost all power and went through over 2 gallons of antifreeze, even hydro locked after I shut it down. Took it to a local competitor, and what do you know, I was right! Sometimes it pays to listen to your customers, your just lucky it was covered under warranty as I was within 100 miles of being over 36k miles. read more

Bought my Certified Pro Owned Verano from here close to a month ago. Great price, couldn't be beat...drove 2 hours from Illinois to get this. They sent me extra photos of the car when I asked and held the car when I asked. Our Sales Person, Brad Dennis was extremely knowledgeable and gave us more info on the car than any other previous dealers we visited. We were in and out in no time and Brad even got us an extra key fob that was missing at sale at no charge, got it expressed to our home PDQ. Very pleased, this place restored our faith and eliminated our skepticism of how a "typical" car dealer treats potential customers both pre and post sale. BELIEVE ONLY WHAT YOU can DOUBLE CHECK!! Took car in under a 24000 new car warranty for everything..."2014 Buick Lacrosse", purchased in December...I put on less than 3,000 miles and had serious wear on the tires that needed to be checked. They confirmed serious wear on front tires. Treads were worn all the way down on outer and inner edges. Also noted "cupping wear" on rear tires and ordered 4 new tired to replace the defective ones. Made an appointment to come back for installation thinking that they were going to honor their warranty. Went back for tire replacement (without my husband) and they informed me that they were going to charge me almost $1000 for tires and realignment of all tires., I refused to sign the work order and instead asked to speak to the service manager, the general manager, or the zone manager. THIS WAS RIDICULOUS! They took it under advisement and talked to someone who said they should replace the tires and suggested I should be responsible for the alignment costs. It had been my 2nd 55 mile trip (each way), so I finally agreed to sign to pay alignment costs. (I had foolishly mentioned that I had a medical issue so they really took advantage of my weak moments). IN KEEPING WITH THE POOR SERVICE AND RESPONSE TO MEETING THE WARRANTY agreement, they came out and said they couldn't finish the installation in time for me to take the car home but they would give me a loaner for the trip. (Informed me that it is not allowed to "eat, drink anything or smoke in their loaner and be sure to replace all the gas used".. So came back next day at 2 pm, and they still were not ready. Said they had paperwork to complete. This took more than 2 extra hours. THEY REPLACED ONLY THE FRONT TIRES...NEGLECTED TO MENTION THAT..AND CHARGED FOR A FULL ALIGNMENT!!!! which should have also been covered under the warranty terms. RIGHT NOW, I DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE AT ALL!!!! read more

After being dissatisfied with the dealership experience for my previous vehicle, it was a priority to purchase my next vehicle from a dealership that has their act together. Zimbrick Eastside turned out to be just what I needed. They have a great inventory; their website is updated and easy to use; the dealership facilities are clean, updated, and inviting; and the dealership staff was friendly and helpful. Most of my interactions were with my salesperson, Tom McConnell. Tom did a great job answering my questions and making the shopping process as easy as possible for me. I asked to drive several different vehicles, and when I'd return with one, he'd have the next one ready to go. I liked that he let me take my test drives solo, which is definitely my preference. My favorite parts about working with Tom were 1) He's easy going and low pressure. At no point did he ever attempt any of the classic pressure sales techniques. This helped give me a sense of trust/sincerity in our interactions. 2) He went above and beyond to make himself available for questions, etc. Tom gave me his email address and cell phone number, and I used both on numerous occasions throughout the shopping/buying process. It meant a lot to me that he was willing to respond to text messages in the evening and on his days off. Tom even went into the dealership on his day off to confirm my eligibility for a rebate that I found online. All in all, this was a great experience. I went there and it was a factory recall. they fixed it ans were so pleasant , i should have given them a tip. they washed my car inside and out and voila i could drive safely back to MI . A clerk at the hotel next to convention center recommended that i go there so i did and was very pleased. if i lived in area i would go there. read more

I'm giving a "fair" rating, which, in my book, is what they earned. However, my expectations for any Buick Dealer are well over "fair". Years ago, my Mom bought her LeSabre. My son bought his LeSabre. I went to buy another one, and was turned away at the last moment --- "car not good enough condition to sell to you"..... again, years ago. Recently, another LeSabre came on the lot. Due to circumstances beyond my control, I had very little time, borrowed the car and drove it to my mechanic for a 5 min. peek. He sent me back with his unofficial blessing. I bought the car. While waiting for my personal loan to come through (15 yr. old car, couldn't finance) - I found some time and was able to take it back to my mechanic for an on the rack check. No big deal, he found a leaky power steering hose - and since Zimbrick had touted that they had just changed the power steering pump - he (and I) find it overly odd that they did not change the hose at the same time....???? When I brought this to their attention, their reply was loud, and even nearly accusatory towards me perhaps breaking the hose with my second trip to the mechanic....??? ... smh.... The more frustrated I became, the more I sensed incompetence and didn't want them to touch the car again. I'm sad to report this incident... because Buick customers deserve better... and, hopefully - always will. It would have been less than $100 cost for them to change the hose --- and one can only guess why they didn't change it in the first place.... it would have been standard/customary. Additionally... all you folks? Don't pay the $75 fee to transfer your plates.... it's free online and about a $3 fee at the counter. Online takes mere moments. read more

i have nothing but problems with my 2009 gmc arcadia since i bought it 4 months ago it has been in and out of the shop for multiple reasons and multiple times for the same reasons I dont like the way that I am treated when i come in and they act like I dont know what i am talking about and that they treat me as if I am crazy because I am hearing things that they are not when I am driving the vehicle I have had to tape things on my phone just to show them and prove to them that it is happening I will be bringing my suv back in on oct 25th and they say that they will check it again but i recorded the noise again just so that they can hear it. The suv onlu has 41000 miles on it and should not have this many issues from day 1. I am upset that I spent 16500 on this vehicle in cash just to be mocked when i bring it in to be fixed these things should have been dealt with before i brought the vehicle home. All of these issues have been here since day one so tell me why they didnt find them and why it has taken 4 months of in and out service to fix them all.
